After reading all the reviews on here, we decided to give it a try. We ordered some cocktails and my family agreed they were all good. The two appetizers (eggplant dip and the shrimp stuffed with yucca)we ordered were amazing! The drinks and appetizers came in a decent amount of time but our entrees took really long. We were here on a Friday night around 7:30pm and they were filling up but we were able to get a table for four. I highly recommend the pasta fruit de mar! We had the brownie a la mode and the flan for dessert. The flan was too sweet and it was more of a cheesecake texture if you're expecting the softer more custard type like me. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bavaro beach area.

I have visited Citrus numerous times during my trip to Punta Cana, and I order different things each time. I have tried tons of things of the menu and they are all delicious! My favorites are the cevices and the pasta caprese. My friend says they have one of the best beef carpacio he has ever had! The salads are the freshest in the area as well. The drinks are delicious; I'd recommend the strawberry smoothie! The only thing on the menu that was underwhelming were the nachos. Luckily, the menu is huge and there are tons of other options. The brunch is also AMAZING, and ends at 11am. Citrus is crazy cheap for the quality of food and service they provide, so if you are looking for the best meal in the area, come check it out!

I and my wife spent a week at Playa Turquesa condos. We were in Punta Cana for business and vacation and the driver who dropped us off recommended Citrus as a nice place for dinner and drinks and said we would not be disappointed.
I would have to say he truly underestimated the place as we were really wowed by the ambiance, food, drinks and most importantly the service. While it is a mid size restaurant in a sort of strip mall, it was designed very modern and chic.
Their mojitos in the tiki glass was exceptional and made just to my liking.
We visited this restaurant maybe half a dozen times while there for either breakfast or dinner and we had the pleasure and great luck to have met a wonderful server by the name of Christina who made our visits even better and she was just as much a reason for our return. She provided exceptional service to us with a warm smile and great attitude from the first time she saw us until the last. If you visit be sure to ask to be seated with her, you will love the service and she was great at answering any questions we had about los corales, which we truly appreciated.
And lastly but most importantly the food no matter what you choose is excellent. I had a ceasar salad with chicken and shrimp to die for.
All in all its an overall 10 out of 10 for me and we will definitely be visiting often on all of our return trips

I am an Executive Protection Agent who comes to this restaurant daily. This is a professional establishment with excellent service. Its incredibly clean and by far has the best food in this area. The waiters and waitresses are very professional, very attentive and detail oriented. There is one waitress who I have to thank for her excellent service and attention to detail, her name is Cristina. She is by far one of the waitresses who lights up the place welcoming everyone as if they were coming to their own home and getting ready to feast like never before. You will not be disappointed in this establishment. I recommend it as excellent plus.

Everything about this resturant is perfect. The ambience, the staff, the FOOD! We stayed at Stanza Mare about 2 blocks away from Citrus. We were there for 11 days and we ate here for breakfast, lunch and dinner a total of 7 times. Nelson was the best, most attentive and funny waiter and made us feel like family each time, remembering our names and greeting us with so much joy. Ronnie was fantastic also! So nice and made us feel at home. We didn’t try anything that was less than amazing! Breakfast: American cappuccino and the vibe juice (fresh blended fruits) were both delicious every time!! The fruit station was a platter of insanely fresh and perfectly ripe fruit. Lunch/Dinner: We highly recommend the classic peruvian ceviche(mahi-mahi), Tuna tartar was mind blowing. We had 4 different sushi rolls that were all great, and I cannot express enough how FANTASTIC the pumpkin and mandarin tortellini was. The most magical thing you’ll ever eat that you never knew you needed! The risottos were very rich and full of flavor!! Desert: Nutella crepe was our favorite!! We would 10/10 recommend to every person ever to go eat here!

My husband loved the boca chica dish. Problem was, I got one too, and I'm not a fan of fried fish in general. Regardless, it tasted really good.
Place looks amazing, we had awesome drinks. I think our order got lost in translation, so we ended up getting 2 orders of the boca chica, one with rice, and the other one with salad =( What we wanted was, one boca chica with rice and salad for my husband, and croquetas for me, plus the drinks. We ended up getting 2 fish, and no croquetas. I'm not one to send a food back, so I sulked and ate it quietly, but not happily. I also didn't know how to communicate it efficiently with the waiter, given that my Spanish is just elementary level. I ended up giving half of my fish to my husband, who devoured it!!!!
The place gets packed every night we walked by it. Making reservations is highly recommended. Also, kudos to the restaurant for making their staff wear masks. It's the only place I saw that the workers are still masked.

This place looks really nice and is in a convenient location. After being seated and given menus, our family of 4 sat there waiting to order for over 20 minutes. After seeing other people be served who arrived there after us, we left. The restaurant was only about half full, and there were wait staff available, however, no one came to take our order. As I walked out, I told two of the wait staff that we were leaving as no one came to take our order. They appeared not to care and said nothing to us. We took our business down the street, where the wait staff were friendly and quick to take our order.

Very Slow service. Even the drinks took a while. Overpriced for food that wasn’t that tasty. Mushroom risotto far too salty. Nachos were some crisps with a drizzle of cheese and sour cream on a small plate. I asked for no chicken, they decided not to put beans on either. Beans arrived after asking, on a dish the size of a table spoon. I wouldn’t return.

For several years we have been going to Citrus. You will not be disappointed. Over the last week and a half we have gone there three times.
The ambience is wonderful and the food outstanding.
We strongly recommend a Caesar Salad (try it with bacon ) and the Rib Eye Steak. If you are leaning towards seafood go with the Grouper stuffed with shrimp. Finally as a closer the tiramisu is one of the best ever!
Junior de la Cruz is a great server and we would be unfair if we also did not commend Frankelin. They both added so much with their professionalism and friendliness.

Sushi is a great appetizer & we were delighted they have splits of Chandon bubbly. Red wine selection is a bit limited. I had the Mushroom risotto and it was fantastic! I don't eat meat, but my friend had the filet and she easily cut it with a butter knife and said it was phenomenal. Another friend had the lobster pasta and it was also very good! I didn't care for the lobster bisque, but my friends tried it and liked it.

It was a very close to our property and we went there a few times for lunch and dinner . The food is great quality and really delicious . There are a few tables inside and a few tables outside on the patio. The service is friendly and very attentive but not intrusive. We ordered a ceviche , lobster ravioli, Cesar salad with shrimp 🍤 a loved it all . They have extensive wine selection from around the globe and it’s proceed reasonably. We g he as a great time absolutelly loved the food .

This is not overpriced, but it is world class food for a fair price. Hands down the best tasting food we experienced all over the Dominican Republic. And we we in the most "in" places in Santo Domingo where the food was literally 10x the price. But this is much better.

Loved this place so much we went back two days later. The citrus salad with grilled chicken is INSANELY good. So was the lobster bisque. Loved the little baby rolls with house butter. Homemade pasta was good and so was my husbands snapper dish. It felt like a fine dining experience for totally normal, affordable prices. Service was excellent. There will be a wait on Friday night and live music, so go early on the weekend. It was a very hip, happening place. But the food was the best part! I can’t get over how good the restaurants are here in Punta Cana! I’m so glad we didn’t do all-inclusive.

What a fabulous experience! We went to this restaurant 5 days ago and after eating the BEST meal we have had (so far!) in the el Cortecito area of Punta Cana, we booked another night knowing that our friend was coming to visit us tonight. Once again it could not have been better! Three of us shared a sushi appetizer, had 2 cocktails each and our main courses were the lobster Thermidor, Stuffed catch of the day and my fave, ricotta and spinach ravioli. We all had very large pieces of Tiramisu for dessert and the bill, taxes in was only $7500 Dominican pesos ($175 Canadian) for the three of us. We like the inside room with lovely upholstered furniture, air conditioning and comfortable seats. The service is excellent and the food always looks like culinary “Art”! We will likely go back again before we leave at the end of March because it is truly a special night out!

Went there for dinner with my family. The white wine sangria and rose sangria were excellent. The shrimp mofonguito, mushroom risotto, chicken croquette, and coconut fish curry were good. The goat was a bit salty. We loved the drinks and were thinking of going back tomorrow. However, the staff ruined the evening with how they treated us in the end. The problem arose with the exchange rate; every other restaurant in the DR gives you 54 pesos for 1 dollar; this restaurant told me that the rate was 52 pesos for the dollar. What should have been USD 99 became 102. Then, for the extra 2 dollars, they asked for 300 pesos. The staff was really dishonest; it was a small amount, but the principle of it was upsetting, that you are visiting the country and spending good money, but they try and take advantage of you.. We were planning on returning, but we won't be. We have been traveling around the DR for eight days, and this was the first time someone tried to mislead me with respect to the exchange rate.
