This has got to be one of the best family vacations. We are so glad that we booked the Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana Resort. Everything from the staff, food, amenities, cleanliness was excellent!
Our butler service from Billy was beyond excellent 10/10 He always made sure we were taken care of and consistently followed up. He was available and responded quite quickly via WhatsApp. I never expected that this service would be so good, but it's excellent and makes your stay a lot more relaxing and stress free.
The pools are amazing and the only downside would be that the resort isn't so stroller friendly. There are bridges in the main pool areas that require you to carry your stroller and a main walkway by the beach which should be paved.
Other than the stroller issue, this resort is 5/5! Every staff member says hello and will often go out of their way to help you. They are the heart and soul of this resort and without the excellent service and care of ALL staff it wouldn't be the same.
We are also so glad we had the Preferred Club option added which I highly recommend everyone to get if you can. You get preferred check in and check out privileges, private beach, special pool area access and access to premium breakfast and lunch at the Sea Side Grill restaurant by the beach.
The resort was not crowded like other resorts and you can always find a beach chair or palapas to sit under by the beach.
FYI you can visit the Casino, Night Club, Sports Bar and VR game room in the Secrets Resort next door. keep in mind that resort is only for adults.
Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for the wonderful trip!

The resort was lovely. Always well maintained and clean throughout the resort. As soon as you arrive you are met with a friendly smile. The staff always caters to you with a warm greeting. We came to the resort to relax and that’s exactly what we did.
They have several places to eat at the resort but we didn’t get a chance to eat at all of them. But the ones we did eat at were delicious. And even though you didn’t have to make reservations, the wait was never long. I also liked the fact that after a certain time each night, I think it was 8pm no one was allowed in the Lazy River which I thought was great that way you didn’t have to hear drunk people being loud all hours of the night or screaming kids.
The resort also provided you with a daily schedule of the various activities going on around the resort, from exercising in the pool to entertainment on the private beach at night.
I especially want to thank Luci, Juan “JD” David & Wilfran. Luci made sure that any request we had was granted. And Juan David was so funny. He made sure we always had a drink and food while relaxing at our cabana for two straight days. Talking to Luci & Juan David was like talking to old friends. Wilfran was our server for our romantic dinner on the beach. He made sure I had the correct meal (I do not eat red meat) and he recommended the perfect bottle of wine!
We loved every minute of our stay and look forward to returning! PS: the drinks were delicious!

I have visited the Dominican Republic several times in the past, but my recent stay at Dreams Royal Beach Punt Cana was the most delightful experience I've had to date. My ocean view room was superb, very spacious, comfortable, and immaculate. Also, my past experiences have led me to believe that some resorts lack the idea of cleaning their private beach, but not this one! There was virtually no seaweed on shore and it was very clean (i.e., free of empty cups, trash, used towels, etc.). The food was delicious and fresh, with an array of local cuisine as well as worldwide favorites, fruits, and deserts. Every staff member in the dining areas and restaurants, as well as the rest of the hotel wear face coverings and you can witness them prudently sanitizing all frequently touch surfaces. Speaking of the staff, they are the reason I enjoyed this place so much! They are attentive, welcoming, and ready to assist you at any moment. Kudos to them! To conclude, if your ever in the Dominican Republic choose Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana. You will not be disappointed!

Our family has a great time at Dreams Royal. It was very family friendly. If your get a preferred membership you should ask for Luci as your butler. She was awesome, sweet, and really great.
They have a great kids program. The pool and private beach are the best.

They definitely make it seem better than what it is on their advertising. You cannot access many amenities because you have to be a premier member. They also have a sister hotel next door which you cannot go too but they advertise all their amenities as their own. The food was Terrible. The plumbing sucks and it smells bad. They took advantage of us and taxed us . It was terrible. They do have a private beach but when we were there my husband and I kept getting harassed by vendors that enter the beach through other hotels and they would not leave us alone. We had to go back to the pool. Prices were outrageous. And they do not offer transportation to and from airport .

We went last August 22-28. The weather was beautiful. The seaweed was improving. I was a little nervous with it being hurricane season, but we did not have any rain at all. I don't know what the actual temp was except HOT and HUMID.
The steakhouse is the Seaside Grill. If you go preferred, you can also eat there for breakfast and lunch.
It is a private beach. There were only a couple of vendors that I saw when we went parasailing. There is an invisible line in the sand that once you cross it, they will then approach. They did not come up into the lounging area. The only vendors we passed were selling sunglasses and a guy with a monkey charging you to take photos with the monkey (with your own phone - we got him down to $5 from $25).
We took plenty of U.S. $1's, some $5's and $10's to have on hand for tipping excellent service which we got even without tips. They work so hard and got hit hard when COVID stopped tourism so any extra helps.
The Preferred club rooms will have pool view and will be closer to the beach/restaurants.

We had a romantic dinner at the beach (they do this almost every evening) and we have seen in the distance a large group. We booked ours whilst we were there. Their email responses are a little slow (5days +)
