We just got home from a fabulous evening of a casual dinner, drinks and live music before curfew at Kat’s Corner. We had great burgers and Buffalo wings, mild or spicy, with crisp raw vegetables and the best ever blue cheese dip. The Presidente is always cold and they have the best chinola mojitos anywhere. We love the house band more every Thursday we go. Music tonight was so much fun - they play the soundtrack of our lives - lots of old rock and roll and even a great Leonard Cohen cover. Servers are attentive and seem to be enjoying themselves. We love you Daniel and Roger! Servers always wear masks and social distancing is accomplished in the open air. New orange cushions bring pizzaz! Great job, Kat!

Very nice and cozy place, Daniel the waiter is attentive and friendly :) we spent a very good and confortable breakfast time. The food is very good but very expensive I have to say. Is double or tripled the regular price. For example: a plate of fruit cost RD$50.00 (small) and RD$100.00 (big) if you go to a fruit kiosk, and here you find it at RD$275.00.... A cubano Sandwich usually cost RD$280.00 in a less touristy establishment but here you find it at RD$425.00 so not the best place to eat daily or frequently but is nice to go sometimes just to relax and enjoy the experience.

Great burgers

Great burgers, nice serving staff, guest-friendly tax included menu, amazing prices. Although the menu doesn't mention that, burgers include fries as a side, and it's a pretty OK serving. Tables were pretty well spaced from each other and all of them had hand sanitizer for guests. Staff was wearing a mask at all times. Had a Hawaiian Burger, a California Burger, a soda and a Pina Colada and our bill ended up at around RD$1400. Everything was very good. The only downside of our meal is the fact that we stayed at a table that was pretty close to two fans that were pointed at us in full throttle and napkins/lettuce leaves etc would fly from our plate, but that could be solved by simply moving that one table aside a couple of meters (there was a buffer for that!) I believe that this place just isn't packed because it's right next to Wacamole, but the environment here is way friendlier.

Friendly staff & great fries

I pretty much made up my entree due to dietary restrictions (GF & DF) and the waiter for dinner and waitress for breakfast were very accommodating. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable. We heard live music one evening. My husband said the pina coladas were excellent - the best he’s had while on DR. Same with the fries - delicious! We recommend this place.

A must visit

We headed to Kat’s for dinner our first night in Punta Cana; it was Thursday so live music night. Kat is wonderful and the staff is friendly. Our dinners were really good. My food came with French fries, but I noticed a friend with us ordered grilled vegetables instead as her side. They looked great so I’ll definitely try them next visit. It’s a fun place to eat and hang out in the evening, especially Thursdays.

Great food great atmosphere and so affordable. The owner Kati’s is a smiling gracious woman and her staff are devoted to her vision. Reuben the lead floor manager is multi lingual and so easy to engage in conversation. The burgers are now the best in Punta Cana and you have to try the Cuban Sandwich! My son his wife and my three year old grand daughter loved eating there!!

Never Disappointed

Visited Kat’s Corner in 2016 and returned this past April – What a wonderful place for breakfast lunch or dinner or just a place to grab a beverage. Two items that were new and phenomenal this visit: Their Cuban Sandwich was is one of the best I’ve ever had. Toasted just right and the pulled pork was ‘spot on’ along with the ham, cheese and pickles – Served with Fries but was really impressed with the quality of the sandwich and portion. 2nd item was their Chicken Corden blue. I’ve had this dish in Europe and USA and theirs by far is the best I’ve ever tasted – Made fresh to order and had such a light batter to it, it just melted in your mouth. It was SO good, I ordered a 2nd one, ala cart. Thursday night was live music night and was really great.

We had higher expectations of Kat’s Corner given the previous reviews and Trip Advisor gold rating. Unfortunately it was just average at best. Pancakes with fruit was four, somewhat dense, pancakes with a little sliced bananas. The hash browns that came with the eggs were obviously from a frozen package and the eggs were just OK. The papaya smoothie was pretty bland. The service however was fairly good with both of the women we had contact being friendly and efficient. Given the number of options in this area I doubt we will return.

Need to hire a cook that knows how to cook food!

This place is bad. Our family of five ordered different dishes plus two appetizers. Fried Zucchini Sticks had a bad seasoning on them and was served with mayo??! The beef nachos consisted of unseasoned hamburger meat and a can of UNDRAINED diced tomatoes….needless to say it was more of a “nacho soup”. The other dishes were just as bad….no seasoning or very bad seasoning, with bad tasting meat. The drinks were nothing special. The only good thing about this restaurant is the live music. My advice: stand on the street and listen to the music for free and don’t waste your money on this restaurant! FYI: we seated ourselves, got our own menus, and had to chase down a waitress to pay for our meal.

Awesome Service & Burgers

Couldn't find a more attentive place than Kats Corner. Came with a family of 4, (including two teenagers) and everyone found something to eat on the menu. Pleasantly surprised by the waitstaff's attention and how they don't forget about their customers as tends to happen on Caribbean time. Food was great! Once we had their burgers we wanted to keep going back. Everything was yummy!

Loved Kats for breakfast!

Really delicious breakfast at Kat’s! Super nice and fast service. The pancakes were so good and the fresh juices amazing. You just try the passion fruit! So yummy. Husband got the Dominican breakfast with “salami” which tasted like an American hot dog but wasn’t bad- and the mashed plantains were really good actually! Definitely recommend.

It was lovely fun and a very welcoming place to eat and drink. Staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. I have the best pineapple juice I've ever had totally freshly made and burgers were top notch too.

Great Restaurant

Great Staff, Food is delicious, prices are good. Perfect for breakfast / brunch / Lunch but a bit noisy in the evening for dinner although quite good for partying. Be sure to eat early dinner if you want to eat in a quiet atmosphere around 19.00 is ok. Overall a very good restaurant.

I think this place is overrated, or is there a way for restaurants to remove negative reviews. Food is horrible, very slow staff, dirty, very loud music. Dont trust 5 stars. Look for better place

Love this spot!!!

One of our favourite spots for food, drinks and a show!! Great staff and service, delicious food and breakfast rocks here too also recommend (caesar drink, pina colada, cubano sandwich & Cordon blue chicken so good) and good prices! Also on Mondays at 7:30pm they have the greatest live show with the amazingly talented Billy singing your all time favourites from Elvis to pink Floyd just to name a few, definitely worth checking it out!!!
