Best Food in Los Corales!

Hands-down the best food and cocktails in Los Corales and El Cortecito (and maybe all of Punta Cana). This place could hold its own in Brooklyn or LA, both in terms of ambience and quality, but the pricing is on par with the rest of the neighborhood, and in some cases even less expensive. Just a short walk past the loud, overpriced restaurants closer to the beach, this classy spot has elevated Dominican and international food with the kind of service you'd expect at an upscale Manhattan restaurant. Our favorite server, Daniel, spoke great English and consistently recommended food and drinks that knocked our socks off, so that we started letting him choose for us! My favorite drink was the Machu Picchu, while my husband's was the El Chapo--but every single cocktail was sublime. We would have paid $15 at home in NYC for drinks like that, but they only cost $4 at La Bruja. Our favorite dishes were the fish tacos, the pork belly mofonguitos, the ceviche, the short rib, and the Greek salad with octopus, but my guess is that you can't go wrong here. If you're sitting outside, spritz your calves and ankles with bug spray, sit back, and enjoy your evening. The menu is big enough that you can come back again and again and have a new experience each time.

Great ambiance, great food and great value!

Visited this place with my partner for the first time after almost a year after it’s opening in our hometown, and ended up very satisfied with our first impression. Their decoration and pop music set up for very cool vibes. I would definitely recommend this place for friends gathering and even non formal special occasions. Their menu is very varied and pescatarian friendly. Not so much vegan friendly though. Service was great! The waiter answered every question we asked with no hesitation and the food came in less than 15 minutes after ordering. Their Instagram page comes in handy if you’re like me that likes to see the appearance of food before ordering. In their case, pictures are very accurate to what you get. We shared the ratatouille filled eggplant topped with Camembert as an entrée, following the grilled salmon with lentils topped with a pouched egg and grilled octopus with yucca croquettes for our main course. The last one was a bit spicy, but not the kind that burns on your lips, but the kind that is felt lightly in the back of your mouth. It went very well with the other components of the meal. We finished off with a very fresh dessert they call “Mangasmo”. Everything we ordered was delicious and very flavorful. To me, it was very noticeable how much time and dedication was put into each of the components of the meals we ordered. To drink we ordered 2 Presidente beers and their signature cocktail (forgot the name). Everything added up to 3,411 Dominican pesos tax included. Which is about $65USD at the moment. Overall great value for the quality of the food and experience. We will definitely visit again.

We had burgers. We got different burgers, both were very good. One tip I would say is if you order medium make sure you clarify how much pink. Ours were medium rare, not medium but still good. It just makes me nervous eating rare food here. Tks

Needed to find out why named (translation) “The Sucking Witch?”

Intrigued by the name and the decent reviews. Food was average at best. Fish tacos were a highlight. Catch of the day was disappointing. Did not get manage to get the magnificent Iskelyn so service was not great. Somehow they messed up our order so took over an hour to get our mains. Shocked at how expensive it is to eat out in the DR. We spent $105 USD without appetizers, wine or dessert! Every meal you can add 27% to any bill in the Dominican Republic for ITBIS and LEY. Spoiler: name relates to urban legend about a witch that apparently haunts the region. Ask your taxi driver and you may learn more than you actually want #spooky.

Does Not Care About Guests

I have been going there about two weeks consistently. I arrive on Sunday about 3 minutes after their kitchen is supposed to close and said there is no more food without even trying to do something for a loyal customer. They really do not care about their guests and try to accommodate them. I will never go back.

La Brujadora Must Mean "The Place to Eat"

We wandered into La Brujadora and what a pleasant surprise. It is rare in Bavaro to say we had an excellent meal but excellent it was. Our appetizers, mofonguito and short rib croquettes, that were as good as anything we have ever been served in the DR or elsewhere. A simple well grilled piece of Salmon made my wife happy while two of us shared a well executed and tasty mixed grill. Juan the server took great care of us and when there was an issue with translation Ricky, the manager, helped guide us through. We appreciated Ricky's attentiveness and clearly he has trained his staff well. We look forward to returning soon.

Making amends

Our vegetarian friend ordered a vegetarian risotto after repeatedly ensuring it was vegetarian and it was not vegetarian, they messed up. What was impressive was how they handled the goof up - the manager Ricky came and apologized and offered a drink to my friend. My friend was really upset and did not care for a sweet drink, so Ricky got him another drink. He owned the mistake and worked on resolving it as best as he could. I am writing this review just because of Ricky. The food otherwise was really good. Loved the fish tacos and our server Edgar was also very attentive. Excellent customer service 👏👏

Amazing Food and great service at this very popular restaurant

Had a wonderful BBQ Mixed Grill Platter for two which included smoked ribs, roasted bacon, roasted chicken, sausages, and pulled pork. Also included was a small portion of fries and coleslaw. The meat was very tender and delicious. The restaurant was quite busy, even on a Tuesday evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. We wanted a table on the outside deck, but none were available, so we were seated inside for a few minutes until a table was available outside. There were many interesting items on the menu. The Food is very good as is the service. Definitely recommended.

Amazing Risotto!

I keep saying this is the best risotto I've had in my life. Their Risotto del Campo is a MUST try. Their staff is great! We had an amazing waitress, Iskeylin, who made sure we had all we needed, especially for my sister in law's birthday. If you go to Punta Cana, you NEED to stop by la Bruja Chupadora or you will be MISSING out. Also, atmosphere is great... they play rock and great music overall.

Bad service

I have been to this place 3 times already. I return because of the 96hrs short ribs. First time, I order the 96hrs short ribs they needed to verify that it was available for me to order. The manager comes out takes a look at me and says that they do have it. The whole experience felt weird but I was happy I got to eat what I order. I return the next day. The manager and staff recognized me and were happy I was back. I order the same plate, 96hrs short ribs. This time there was no issues. Today I return after 2 months from my first visit. I drove from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana to try again the 96hrs short ribs. When I get there I asked my waiter if they had it available. Since my first time I noticed some issues. He took a moment to talk to someone else and return saying that they didn’t have it. I felt the need to explain that I had drove more than 2 hours just to eat there and he asked me to wait a second. He goes to the back. Takes a while. Manager comes out a few minutes later. Then my waiter and he explain again that they didn’t have it available. The whole experience felt off. Hope my story can help someone else when deciding to take a chance to drive to this place.

The worse food ever in Punta Cana

If you don’t like burgers or ribs, STAY AWAY!!!! I gad a so called chicken breast with salad and a honey and mustard sauce….. Chicken paper thin, dressing awful. Our friend had a beef carpaccio, I wish I had taken a picture….the meat was loaded with cheese and oil on top of it and you couldn’t see or TASTE the meat (the cheese was actually bitter). Do yourself a favour, and do not step into that place.

Reservation issues - unprofessionalism

I reserved for a group of 5 one week ahead of time. Upon arrival, two of our guests were told to sit to the side. When I specified we had a reservation I was told by the waitress our table was where our guests were seated. A table which looked liked it belonged in a cafetería with barely enough space to move. I asked for another table and my request was granted after a snarky remark from the waitress. I noticed other proper tables had "reserved" signs. It was clear these guests had "preferential" treatment. The website doesn't allow for reservations for dinner. We reside in Punta Cana for the winter months. I mentioned it twice and it doesn't appear to have been taken seriously. I reserve via what's app. In my opinion, not exactly the ideal platform. The food was good and our waiter was very personable and attentive. We have been to Bruja Chupadora many times now. Some waiters would benefit from training and understanding the meaning of professionalism. A proper reservation platform is needed without giving preference to friends.

We were in an all-inclusive hotel where the food was 😒. We looked for a nearby restaurant and found La Bruha. In our 6-day stay, we went there twice. The food is well-prepared, the cocktails are great. And the service is awesome. The octopus were not chewy, and all the other tapas and main course that we got were worth every dollar. Oh wait, did I mention that the service was awesome. Hats off to the staff and the management. For once I wasn't asked ypon arrival if I'll pay in cash or card without a hello or welcome.

Best restaurant in punta cana

I'm here in vacation in Punta Cana with my fiancé. We visited different restaurants, but this is by far the best one. The food was awesome, and the server, Daniel, was absolutely great!!! He speaks fluent English and he spent a lot of time trying to help us finding the right dish for us! I totally recommend it! Great time, great food, great drinks!

Excellent, cozy, good food

Went there for my birthday. Nice location, modern and stylish. Staff is well mannered and attentive. The food (we had Picanja) was excellent. The Aperol Spritz was really one of the best and very comparable to the better ones served in Frankfurt, Germany. We had a very good dinner and we can recommend this place. We did a reservation the night before, but you get a place without. Well worth the visit.
