This was by far the worst experience and most expensive experience with a resort. My family and I stayed at the preferred rooms. We had two rooms, of the two rooms, for my whole trip and numerous attempts to fix the AC in our room, it was all for nothing. The room ac was broken and we were extremely hot all day especially at night. The sink leaked. Room service was atrocious. Always took over an hour, everytime we ordered they messed up on our food. House keeping was the worst I ever seen. Every day around 4pm I had to call them to send some one to either clean my kids room or our room. They dont mind taking the tips we left them on a daily basis but they didnt bother cleaning anything all other than the bed. The restaurant food was terrible. Try the buffet, its decent. Other than 3 people we had encountered, which was our butler (Billy),our pool bartender (lucas), when we checked in at the preferred side. Everyone was so rude and nasty. They do not understand a lick of english, instead of saying "excuse me" they say 'WHAT?!", they roll their eyes everytime you want something or need something. They genuinely look like they do not want to work there or be there. And they call you by "hey lady, or hey man". I came to Punta Cana so many times in the past, and I have never came a cross a whole resort full of rude, nasty people and food was terrible. I spent more money with a family of 5, preferred, and this was not worth it. I will not be coming back to DR at all. If i do I will try Lopesan. SInce when has Dreams become this bad?1 We tip whether it was good service or horrible service cause we know hard work is hard work.
I travel every year with family, its my kids end of school year travel. I know food at resorts are a hit or miss. I also know that not everyone will be nice. But for a whole resort to be like is crazy. They are also very racist. We are a south asian family, and its like they dont want to serve us, give us attitude, and roll their eyes at us until we leave that nice tip at the end and its like "oh ok".
I genuinely cannot express how shocked I was with the rude, nasty attitude and faces they make. And I'm from NYC. Save your money and try another resort. They are not it.
