Hotel's Favourite
An absolutely gorgeous hotel with fantastic staff. Only had breakfast once and it was lovely loads of choice and definitely something for everyone. The location of the hotel is brilliant so close to las ramblas and loads of bars and restaurants. We were in Barcelona for my birthday and the hotel sent a bottle of Cava to the room very thoughtful. Highly recommend this hotel.

This review is for H10 Universitat. There are a number of H10 hotels in the city.
My wife and I were in Barcelona for our wedding anniversary. We specifically chose this hotel due to it's city centre location and it's closeness to transport links like the Metro and the city tour buses.
The room was of a good size, not overly large but big enough to walk around the bed without geting in each others way. Our room was at the front on the 5th floor overlooking the main road. Sound insulation was very good,with the two lots of double glazing closed the traffic was barely audible. In fact the noisiest thing we heard was the steel tipped shoes of the lady in the next door room.
The room was clean and well equpped, with a bathroom supplied with all the things you may need if you forgot your toothpaste,razor or shower gel. The room was made up every day by the staff.
All staff were very helpful and courteous, and spoke [ to our relief] very good english. Accomodation is on a bed and breakfast tariff, there is no evening meal service in the restaurant, but in the centre of a city who would not want to explore the busy night life and restaurants.
If you are travelling to Barcelona by plane, then the metro runs from the airport terminals to the Universitat metro station. Jouney time is about 30 minutes but you will need to make a change. Walking time from the metro to the hotel is about 5 minutes.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at H10 Universitat and would stay again and recommend it to friends and family.

I was a little bit disappointed in my experience overall. Having read the reviews I was really excited to stay at H10 Universitat, but when I arrived I was really disappointed.
Considering I’d paid over £450 for the room for three nights, and I was staying in the ‘junior suite’ I really thought I would’ve had a better view than looking onto a car park.
The double shower in the bathroom was impressive, but it would’ve been more impressive if one of the showers hadn’t had extremely poor pressure.
I have emailed the hotel in advance to say it was my partner‘s birthday and to request a message to be placed in the room upon arrival. No messages left, so I contacted the hotel who sent a bottle of sparkling wine to apologies – this was of course appreciated, however considering I had emailed them around about five times previously and we had been back and forth in conversation, it was a shame that they forgot initially.
Another one of my concerns was the fact that when we returned to the hotel one night, we were unable to get into the hotel itself! I understand that it was around 1:30 am, however all the lights off in the reception, and the bell that was placed on the front door obviously did not work, as we rang this numerous times and nobody answered. We stood at the front door unable to get in around about 10 minutes, and it was only when I called the hotel, that someone came from around the back to let us in. I have no idea how we would’ve gotten to the hotel if we hadn’t had our phones on us, as it appears the only way that they were aware that we were at the door was because the phone was phone ringing in reception.
Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good, however I feel these were the only redeeming factors in the stay that we had overall. I am due to stay in another H10 hotel in September, however this experience has made me seriously consider whether to cancel this and book with another hotel chain, as I don’t want to be disappointed yet again.

We are very sorry that your stay has not been entirely to your liking, but if you allow us, we would like to be able to respond to your comments. The type of room reserved was a Junior Suite, it is an interior room and it faces to a large courtyard block. These rooms have been recently renovated. We are sorry that the note you requested was not found in your room upon your arrival, but because the hotel wanted to give you a complimentary bottle of cava for your partner's birthday and it was a surprise, it was going to be delivered to your room in the evening. On the other hand, we kindly inform you that the hotel has a 24-hour reception service but that in case of absence of the reception staff, the door must be closed for security reasons. We are very sorry that you had to wait 10 minutes for the receptionist to come back. We sincerely hope that you can give us another chance and that we can welcome you again and enjoy your stay at our hotel. Best regards!

Absolutely fantastic 3 night stay at this hotel for my 50th birthday at the end of March.
We were greeted by the ever smiling and attentive receptionist Anita who quite frankly could not do enough to make our stay perfect ! We were upgraded to a balcony superior room (211) but no noise from the street as aircon worked perfectly.
We were offered Cava on arrival during the short wait for our room. Later in the day on our return we were given a bottle of Cava which we enjoyed before going out again for my birthday meal.
Anita sorted out our 3rd night as originally were only staying for 2. Faultless service, nothing a problem.
The hotel is in the perfect location just a few minutes walk from the Aerobus drop off at either Universitat or Placa Catalunya. Amazing breakfast every day with so much tasty choices we didn’t need to eat again till much later in the day.
Lovely rooftop terrace which we enjoyed the last 2 late afternoons with spectacular views down to the marina and across to the castle. Lovely cold Estrella on draught in the sun served by 2 very friendly barmen (sorry did not get names).
All in all this will be our go to place and will return soon as not been to Barcelona since 2015 so this was a well overdue visit !

We recently stayed at H10 Universitat and were not disappointed. H10 Universitat is in the perfect location close to all the key tourist attractions and is very well served by great transportation links, shops, bars, restaurants and amazing architecture. The staff were incredibly friendly. Our room whilst surprisingly small and compact was spotless and attended to by the maid. It had a very comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom with a fantastic shower. Breakfast was incredible. An offering of unlimited choice. The roof terrace provides great views of the City. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar is seasonal and wasn't open during our stay. We will definitely return to this amazing City and use this wonderful Hotel again. Keep it up guys!

Stayed for two nights with my partner. Hotel is right in the middle of the city, so Is very conveniently located with everything within walking distance and good public transport connections. Room and hotel were both very clean, good facilities and attention to detail. Breakfast was included which was also very good. Cocktails were amazing, albeit the service slightly slow. The most disappointing thing was that we booked a double superior room with balcony and arrived to find two single beds pushed together, with both of them made up separately. We contacted reception who insisted that we were in a double room and refused to come and look at the bed or move us, so me and my partner basically ended up sleeping in two single beds. Other than that encounter all of the staff were very friendly.

Took my teenage son on a trip for a long weekend. Came to Barcelona which is a city I love to visit. Stayed here for the first time and on our first day after drying my hair and dust flying about I looked about the room and couldn't believe how much dust was everywhere even on a seat. I took vidoes to show the reception staff the girls I spoke to couldn't be bothered she didn't even offer for anyone to come clean it or nothing. Shocking service and I didn't pay to come stay in a dirty room. Shocking and I won't be back. Rooms are tiny also.

This hotel is in a great location.
The walk from the airport bus stop is 2 mins, Placa Catalunia 2 mins, La Rambla 3 mins.
I stayed in a superiror room which was very clean, the bed was very big and comfortable. I had a great nights sleep.
The staff were all lovely, welcome drinks on arrival was a great touch.
Breakfast had lots of choice and was all very nice. The choice of drinks also included cava!!

Hotel is situated in a great location a short walking distance from major department stores, restaurants, bus stops and metro. The room was a huge disappointment. It was facing a inner courtyard. The window was small and looked directly across into another room. This necessitated that the blinds being closed at all times, so no day light entered the room. The only saving grace was that the staff kept the room very clean. After eight nights I was glad to get away. Staff through out the hotel were a pleasure to deal with always friendly and helpful.

We stayed elsewhere in Barcelona for 7 nights and only one here. We found it spotless and a great location and a few minutes walk to La Rambla. The bed was a real king size bed - not 2 twins put together. The shower and toilet are separate from the sink and was easy for 2 people to get ready. There was a mini bar with reasonable prices and an espresso coffee maker. I must say the shower was large and easy to regulate compared to where we stayed before. The roof top area is small and they offer drinks but there is no pool. We were on the inner courtyard and didn’t hear any sounds but the view is not worth opening the curtains. It was nice they offered complimentary champagne and I think a pink wine or the like at check-in. It would be a long long walk to the beachfront area but it’s doable if you’re a strong walker and have time. There are lots of restaurants and sidewalk cafes and shopping a few steps outside the door. It was less than 30 minutes to the airport at 7:30 a.m. I would definitely stay here again.

We have a bar open 365 days a year and it is located on the 0 floor. Our terrace bar is always open in good summer weather. Every year we update our opening date due to the changing weather to offer you the best service.
