The Hilton Club The Quin New York is celebrated for its prime location near Central Park and cultural hubs, with guests often praising its elegant and modern atmosphere. While the spacious and well-equipped rooms are frequently lauded, some visitors mention they can be noisy and occasionally feel cramped. The hotel's cleanliness and daily housekeeping receive high marks. However, the value is questioned due to additional fees and a perceived lack of amenities. Overall, the professional and friendly service provided by the staff is a highlight for many who stay at The Quin.

Had a wonderful stay here. Everything was top notch. Clean, friendly professional staff, beautiful room. So conveniently located to attractions, shopping and transportation. So many options for restaurants close by Central Park is right around the corner and Bryant Park is in walking distance.

A friend and I stayed at the Quin for three nights this week and found the room to be upscale and exceptionally clean, the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, and the location to be outstanding. Having been recently renovated, the room had all the latest amenities including charging stations, a very modern phone/clock radio, a large tv, a rainforest shower head, a clothes steamer, and a very cold refrigerator. The only other thing we would have liked is a small microwave to warm our breakfast to go with the excellent Nespresso coffee in the room. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They currently don’t have a concierge but both Amella at the front desk and the doorman whose name I didn’t get were very helpful in giving us restaurant recommendations in the area. The location on 6th Ave. and 57th St. was great, close to Central Park, Carnegie Hall (of course, not currently open due to COVID), many restaurants, a Walgreens and a grocery store across the street, and easy walking distance to MOMA, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, the Metropolitan Art Museum, etc. And a real plus was the subway station probably not even 50 yards from the front door, with another subway line a couple of blocks away. If you are not a Hilton Grand Vacations member, you might consider the Quin a little pricey, but not out of line compared to similar hotels in NYC.

We had stayed at the Quinn under its original ownership several times before, but we weren’t quite sure what to expect once Hilton took over and renovated. We booked before they even re-opened in July 2021 so we got a spectacular deal, and by the time we stayed there the brand new hotel was only three weeks old. It’s a bit dumbed down from what it used to be as boutique hotel, but it’s still a very well managed property with a spectacular location and now brand new rooms. The bathroom stayed the same, but that’s fine because they are still modern and well-kept and clean, other than water running underneath the shower door because it’s so low to the ground. The redesign, rebuild and redecoration is along the same lines of what many luxury hotels are doing which is going with the “casual easy-going luxury” vibe. I just hope that the light colours won’t make the room look beat up too quick and that the lower quality furniture won’t look beat up too quick either. If the prices are still competitive i’d definitely stay here the next time I’m in the city to see how the hotel is holding up after the renovation.

We stayed for 3 nights in February 2020. There are construction works going on outside and the first night we arrived we could clearly hear it until past 2am. The windows are single pane with no noise suppression, honestly can’t tell the difference between open and closed even on 7th floor. Resorted to ear plugs for the remainder of the stay which solved the problem but shouldn’t need to when you are paying for this hotel. AC unit in the room was also incredibly noisy and as it was positioned underneath the window made not one bit of difference to the room as a whole which was consistently stuffy. Room had a strange smell on the first day as well which went away after a day or so. We have stayed nearby at One Central Park which was a comparable price but a vastly improved experience in the room (even with the weird toilet setup!) Staff in the hotel were all friendly but the rooms let it down. Wouldn’t be back.

We stayed for a weekend getaway. 1BR Premier (1BX) was more spacious than we expected.
The main bathroom had a large soaking tub, shower, toilet and decent size vanity w/sink. There was also a 1/2 bath in the living room area. The bedroom had a large dresser with 2 nightstands, and the room did not feel cramped. The closet was small, but there was space to store luggage in the bed frame and in the entrance hallway.
The living room area had a sofa (comfortable sleeper), side chair, a console with storage and cabinet with refrigerator, coffee machine and storage drawers.
The hotel's midtown location is great for walking and has easy subway access to all points uptown and downtown. Our 5th floor room was great for short elevator rides but prepare for normal NYC evening street noise.
There is no restaurant, bar or market at the hotel, but there are plenty of places just outside the hotel doors.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We will definitely stay here again!

This location near Central Park South is wonderful. More civilized and much quieter than Times Square (I prefer quiet), you are two blocks from the Park and equal distance between the East & West sides. Local restaurants were a little sparse, but not their fault. Front desk was super helpful and professional, as were the concierges. Room was nice, though nothing special. The bathroom was a step above. WIFI worked good. My room had no view but that's fine. Nespresso machine much better than Keurig. As Hilton Diamond, they honored a very special request for me, delaying a routine inspection. I appreciated that. The one flaw is that the elevator requires a key card and it barely worked. If this is not fixed, I would flag down an employee before boarding the elevator. Otherwise the elevator will take you where it wants and you can't choose your floor. Being back in NY and running in Central Park was absolutely wonderful.

I booked this property because I am a loyal Hilton Honors Platinum Member. I was given room 302, that had a small window looking on to the roof ally that had an air conditioner unit and storage for a ladder. I came in late and they told me this was the only room available. They told me to check back to see if another room comes available. We stayed in the room for two days and another room came up, but they wanted to uncharge me for $75 for a room that had a normal size window that brought light into the room. I guess paying over $400 a night was not enough for the vacation club. We refused to pay more for the new room out of principal. The manager Eli said I should have read the "fine print" that did not guarantee a quality room in the Hilton Club. So do not stay at this property unless you know exactly the room you are staying in... a view of the street with a window that lets in light to the room. My wife wanted me to stay at a Marriott; I will never live down this reservation. I wanted to change to another hotel, but they were going to charge me $150 for a cancellation of my stay. The Hilton Club does not care about Hilton Honors Members.

This hotel was in a great location and had a lovely lobby, nice employees and the fastest elevator ever, but the rooms were minuscule. There was barely a foot between the foot of the bed and the piece of furniture against the wall. Not sure if this was a dresser or a desk or what but it was no more than a foot deep. I kept catching my toe on the bed frame when I walked around the bed.

The bathroom? Bizarre. No counter space. No room for a bottle let alone a travel kit. Only one hook. One towel bar. The shower had a rain spout overhead so there was no option but to get your hair wet. There was a hand-held option but to turn it on, you had to step into the shower right under the overhead spout. So, not only were you wet, but there was no way to avoid the cold water. And there was no place for two people to put soap and shampoo. The door got caught on the bath mat so you could not use it.

There is always a light on around the mirror no matter what you do. It is a permanent nightlight. Only option is to keep the bathroom d door closed at night.

The bed, though, was wonderfully comfortable and I want their pillows. The high tech heating and window shades were easy to understand and worked well. Lots of electrical outlets was a nice plus. Loved the bathrobes and the safe in the closet drawer. Excellent TV.

But the shower? That killed it. Won’t be returning here.

We experienced many positives and only a couple of niggles with our 7 night stay so overall a really great experience and we’d stay again.

Location is great, we’re seasoned visitors to NYC so were comfortable staying somewhere less in the middle of things. Hotel still feels central though as it’s on W57 St, on the corner of 6 Ave, a block away from Central Park, a 10 minute walk to either Rockefeller Centre/Radio City or the 5 Ave shops.

Facilities wise, the room was really nice, the bed was huge and very comfortable. Room safe, fridge and coffee machine all provided. Only issue with the room was the soundproofing, other than the obligatory and expected street noise there is heavy construction going on just up the road. Unfortunately we were disturbed on a morning a few times by cement mixers and heavy building machinery right outside. We heard very little noise from other rooms, other than plumbing - the noise from the showers in neighbouring rooms could be quite loud and woke us a few times. Not much the hotel could do about this during our stay.

The hotel doesn’t have a bar or restaurant, which felt a bit odd but there are plenty of alternatives on the door step (try Brooklyn Diner a little way up the road towards 8th Ave- it’s amazing!) and this is NYC and you don’t travel to this amazing city to sit in your hotel! All staff we encountered were lovely, although other than check in/check out and speaking to the door staff, we didn’t have much cause to speak to anyone.

I’d give this a strong 8.5 out of 10.

I stayed in February twice 2 nights one wee apart.
Location is great only minutes from Central Park and all midtown attractions
Staff is courteous and rooms spacious and confortables.

Few things can be improve: 1) we went through all the check in process the second time we stayed even though they had all our info as we stayed the week before
2) I wanted to pay to stay later as we had a late flight. Usually hôtels we go to charge us 1/2 price to keep to the room till 6pm. Here it was full fare. So we decided not to do it.

Overall great hotel great value and kind service. We will stay there again.

Based on a conversation I had with the staff I don’t expect the construction to be over for a while. For my budget, I liked the location for the price. It definitely wasn’t a 5 star hotel and it’s sort of small but I felt it was adequate and clean.

It was really only the exterior that was under construction and I got the impression it wasn't going to be for much longer. The scaffolding on the front was a little annoying but wouldn't keep me from booking again. I'd ask for a room without scaffolding in front of the windows.
