Felt so lucky to have this spot booked on my drive across Canada. It's in the middle of a pretty barren patch coming from Thunder Bay Ontario heading towards Montreal, located at the perfect half way point. It's a classic retro motel with really genuine service and clean cozy rooms. Had a great chat with the proprietor and would def stay here anytime I'm on that journey again.

Great motel. I have been all over ontario and never been to a place I like better. Comfortable clean beds and room. Also it's my understanding all the rooms have kitchenettes (stove top, fridge, microwave and coffee maker with supplied coffee). The owner Jerry will go out of his way to accommodate you. Highly recommend staying here for any reason and it's on Highway 11.

Great location right on Highway 11 in Matheson, on the way north. Two double beds. The bathroom, sheets and pillow cases were clean, and the mattress was very comfortable, but you will have a hard time getting past the dirty carpet, chairs, and comforter. The motel is very dated and the whole place is in need of a tear down as there is way too much to fix in this property. Was a convenient location and did the job for one night. Won't be back, if it can be avoided. Friendly staff, excellent WI-Fi, and lots of satellite TV stations on decent sized TV's.

Contacted for a nights stay at this facility, as i have property in the area. man on the phone was short as if i was annoying him and its was his supper time. asked about a room and is seemed the room price was out of the air for a single and 10 more for double.. when i asked about a military rate we was rude and replied in a rude manner.. thanks will never stay here.

I was a guest of this great establishment for 3 nights back in September of 2015 when I embarrassingly was trevelling through Matheson and had my car impounded by 2 of Ontario's finest. The dummy I am, I hadn't renewed my driver's licence, so I ad to wait for the Service Ontario office to open Monday morning. But the wonderful owners were incredibly sympathetic and took care of my every needs. The beds were extremely comfortable, the tv selection was huge (even got HBO) and you not hear anybody next door. The rooms were clean, plumbing worked well and they even gave mea ride into town to get some groceries. Next year my wife and I are making a special trip to Matheson to renew my licence and we look forward to staying with these great people for another three nights. I recommend it to anyone.

Set aside your preconceptions of smaller Motels and get ready for a cozy home-like atmosphere with great service. Forget the updated television and internet, who had time with the view from the rooms.

This was a great place to stay. The price was reasonable, less that $100 plus tax. Cozy room, clean, Satellite , basic amenities (microwave and kitchenette) Air conditioning. Owner was very nice, and even allowed me to have my dog for the night. The Motel is right on the highway, and has a nice view of a lake. No Wifi, but I used my data plan for the evening, this was a minor detail.

The Television was excellent. They even showed us how to use the remote. There was somebody on site all of the time and they had air conditioning. The view was scenic and the price was right. This was a nice motel.

Clean rooms nice staff good prices make this an ideal place to stay considering what is available. The place is always staffed unlike some. They care about the customer have decent television and are not running a strip club like the Highway Bar & Grill In Val Gagne aka Dawg House.

I got a Flat tire in in was unable to get another one BMW run flat tires LOL stayed the Night Nice and Clean Great Value Good internet Service , and Cable Flat screen Tv ,NO ICE , But the Fridge Cools Quick ,Serves the purpose for the Night
