Hotel Morgana generally satisfies guests with its array of amenities and prime location near Termini station, which reviewers frequently applaud for its convenience. The rooms, while clean, often draw criticism for being on the small side, with dated decor and occasional maintenance issues. While the service team is often commended for their helpfulness, experiences can vary. The hotel's atmosphere and value for money receive mixed feedback, with some guests enjoying the breakfast ambiance but others suggesting improvements in room quality and decor to justify the cost.

Opted for this hotel mainly on proximity to the train station as we knew we would be arriving late at night, before booking we emailed the hotel to check if this late arrival was ok & had a prompt reply to say it was no problem . We got the Leonardo express to Termini station & walked the few minutes to the hotel. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman on the desk & checked into our room, 538 a small double. The room was nice & spacious enough with quite a long bathroom with walk in shower, shower gel, soap & shampoo provided & replenished every day. The breakfast buffet was good & pastries were delicious, all staff at breakfast were very welcoming & friendly. Everything was easily accessible & within walking distance, we only took the metro to the Vatican City, 1.50 euros for a single journey. Lots of restaurants in the area . We were given good advice about restaurants & places to visit by front of house staff . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here .

We stayed here for 3 nights in Jan 2019. The hotel is located near to the train terminal so easy to get to from the airport, just jump on the Leonardo Express for about £12.50. We were welcomed when we arrived and shown to a lovely waiting room which had complimentary tea & coffee while we waited for our room, which wasn’t long. ( we arrived before check in time). Our room was clean and big enough for us. It had a safe in the wardrobe, plenty of space to put hang clothes etc. Bathroom had toilet, bidet & shower which was powerful & hot and hairdryer. The first night I was really cold, but then found a blanket on the cupboard and kept the heating blower on which was noisy but made the room more cosy. We were given a bottle of complimentary wine & peanuts in our room on arrival & the mini bar which had water, coke & Fanta was refilled as required which was also complimentary. A kettle with tea & coffee was also provided in the room. The staff were all very polite and at breakfast we were always greeted with a smile & offer of a lovely cup of cappuccino by the waiter. The breakfast was varied with bacon, sausage, eggs, fresh bread, cereals, fruit, yoghurts and selection of cakes. Fresh fruit juice & selection of teas. The staff all looked happy to be working there and were friendly & helpful if anything was needed.

I stayed at this hotel with my father early August for 6 nights. The hotel was included in a package along with the plane tickets and a few guided tours. The lobby was very beautiful, it had lots of chairs and places to set our bags. The employees were dressed and acted very professional and spoke excellent English. They were very knowledgeable of the area. It also has a free taxi service to and from the airport, but the driver will expect a tip, so don't forget to tip him! The establishment is also a 3-5 minute walk from the city's transportation hub. This is EXTREMELY convenient because this is where all buses, trains, trams, metros and taxis depart. The hotel comes with a free breakfast buffet that has great taste, the only downside of the breakfast is that its the same food everyday, so eventually you will start to get sick of it if you stay for a long period of time. They have rooms of all sizes, but their are only small rooms within the main building of the hotel. If you want a bigger room for 3+ people you will have to stay in a separate building, away from the front desk and food, so I suggest staying here if your traveling solo or with one other person. They have daily house keeping, but would only put one role of toilet paper every few days and one towel a day. We had to call constantly for more towels, but they were quick to deliver them. Overall, I think if you are traveling alone and are only staying for a short time, this is the place for you.

We stayed at the Morgana for six days over new year. It is located one road away from he main railway station and provides good access to many if the main sites. As keen ‘wanderers’ we didn’t need or use public transport, preferring to walk... you get to see and find so many beautiful buildings, hunched and restaurants that are often overlooked.
The hotel had been recommended by two different travel agents so we expected good things. On arrival we were told we’d been upgraded from a deluxe room to a master suite which was not in the main building, but an an annexe just down the road. The room, on the first floor of what appeared to be an apartment block was spacious, pretty with a very high and ornately painted ceiling. Everything seemed very new and clean. Being close to the railway there was some street noise, but not enough to annoy or disturb us.
Breakfast, which was served in the main building, was ok, a selection of cereals, Italian pastries, meats, cheeses, bread and a hot buffet (eggs, bacon, hash browns and sausages).
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, booking restaurants and sorting out any issues quickly (our air con was rattling which they dealt with while we were out).
Overall we liked the hotel, the area it’s situated is is perhaps eclectic, but if you want to be near transport and the sites it’s a great option.

My husband took me to Rome to celebrate my 60th birthday and we stayed at The Morgana Hotel. I have to say that this was a fantastic place to stay. You are made to feel so welcome, nothing is too much trouble for staff. The staff are so friendly and happy, you are always met with a smile.

The rooms are immaculate, cleaned regularly, with complimentary soaps, body lotions etc and the towels are changed daily. The shower was powerful and the water was always hot. The large double bed was extremely comfortable.

The breakfast staff were extremely attentive, working very hard to ensure they maintained a great selection of hot and cold foods and all was replenished regularly. Although the hotel was busy no-one was kept waiting to be seated.

At my breakfast birthday I was spoilt with a glass of bubbly and the nicest chocolate cake I've ever had.

The location is perfect for trains, buses metro & trams literally 5 mins walk.

We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Rome.

If we could we would give this hotel and its staff 10 stars. We would just like to say well done and a big thank you

We stayed here for 3 nights on February 15-18, 2020. There are pluses and minuses regarding these hotel that needs to be considered before booking this hotel. If you visit there in a couple (so we did) please consider that the rooms are really very small. We stayed at double deluxe room. The bathroom is also very very small and uncomfortably designed so that moving there is a real challenge. But on the other hand, you have all minimum you need for a short stay.

The staff of the hotel was extremely pleasant toward every guest. During dat time the hotel serves free of charge coffee/tea, croissant and fresh juice all day long for the guests. this was really a very pleasant gesture for us. Much appreciated.

The beds were very comfortable, but again the disadvantage was that the room hardly fitted only one big bed in it and it was hard to move in the room.

The hotel has a very good location since it's right next to the main train station of Rome. a very good shopping place is also located in the building of the train station.
So enjoy, your stay in Morgana.

There are pros and cons about this hotel. From my perspective the pros prevail. I hope this review helps to manage the expectations of other travellers :)
Pros:
1. Extremely convenient location, being 5 mins' walk from Termini train station (a hub for trains and Metro going to absolutely everywhere) which is attached to a fantastic food court where there are plenty of options for you to eat/drink extremely well and pay local prices. I valued the location very highly. It meant that we could start/end the day with a reasonably priced meal for a family with kids, eating where local people eat.
2. The staff at the hotel are all absolutely lovely. They are friendly, courteous and helpful.
3. Comfortable beds and perfect room temperature setting (which you can adjust yourself).
4. Generally clean throughout the hotel and the rooms were well cleaned/tidied up daily. My only negative is that the ventilator fan in the bathroom could do with a clean (removal of dust that's visibly built up).
5. Nice breakfast room; the breakfast itself is also decent. Hot food options were scrambled eggs and bacon. Other than this, there was a large selection of cold cuts, cheese, cereals, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, salads and yoghurt, etc. We enjoyed it.
Cons:
1. The wifi in our room was extremely temperamental. If you're needing to use wifi, you need to be aware of this. Granted, whenever we raised the issue, the staff attended to it quickly and they did offer a different room if the problem persisted.
2. The bathroom is small and there is nowhere to hang the towels. I'd advise the hotel to nail some hooks into the bathroom door and/or on the wall outside it. This would make a huge difference for guests.
Overall, the staff and central location made this hotel a good choice for us. It is in an old building somewhat in need of updating, but this did not detract from our overall positive experience here.

The hotel itself is very clean, good service and friendly staff.
The breakfast was good and sets you up for the day.
The location is quiet, just off the main streets and 10minutes walk from the Termini (Metro\Rail\Bas station).
There are lots of good restruants is the local area.
15-20minute walk to the main sites of the Colosseum\Forum\Palatine hill and numerous churches and fountains.
Though you need a Metro\Bus link to the Vatican unless you don't mind a long walk.

Very average hotel. First off we paid for a family executive room with a queen in one room and a double and a twin in the other. We were given a double in one room and two twins in the other. They said our room was not available and we were not refunded the difference or even apologized to for the error. No housekeeping aside from making bed- no new towels- they resold your dirty towels, dirty drinking glasses left and not replaced with clean ones, hair dryer broken in one of the rooms, etc.. front desk staff was unhelpful. The breakfast room staff was wonderful though- very accommodating. Unfortunately the food provided at breakfast was terrible. Learn from our mistake and stay elsewhere.

We stayed in the Hotel Morgana over half term week.
On arrival we were greeted with a friendly attitude and welcomed in.
We were upgraded to a Master Suite which was a lovely surprise.
The only downside to this was we were not part of the main hotel building as our room was in an apartment building.
There were people who resided in this part of the building as well.
This being said the room was beautiful and super clean.
We were thrilled with it.
Just a short walk away was the shops cafes bars etc and right behind the hotel was the Termini station.
Approximately 7-10 minutes away was the amazing Colosseum which was literally breathtaking.
I recommend the guided tour around this historical site as it’s a well worth the money.
Lots of lovely places to stop for a Gelado as well.
Breakfast in the hotel was great with lots of lovely choice ranging from bacon eggs sausages to pastries cheeses and yoghurts.
Gerardo the morning manager is a super asset to this hotel as he made my husband feel so welcome every morning and nothing was too much trouble.
All in all this hotel is a gem.
A lovely friendly feel to it with loads of lush Italian charm.
Definitely a hotel we will return to in the future.
