We booked this hotel for a 3 day trip for my birthday. On entering, the clean smell was lovely, the entrance was lit by fairy lights and the staff very welcoming and spoke great English. We were 20 mins early and received a welcome glass of champagne whilst we waited. Lovely touch after our journey from Scotland.
The room was lovely and clean and a great size for a twin right in the heart of a city. Lovely modern bathroom with all of the toiletries provided. Nice Nespresso coffee machine and we were also provided a kettle for our tea! Good sound proofing for a room overlooking a busy, Main Street. Had a great sleep. Lovely bedding/mattress. Lots of nice tapas bars around corner.
Hotel is in a great location. 5 mins walk from Las Ramblas which takes you quickly into the Gothic Quarter, Jewish quarter and to Barcelona Cathdral.
A few mins walk from Passeig de Gràcia, with its lovely shops and Casa Batllo within walking distance.
Ideally positioned for metro. We used Passeig de Gràcia metro (a few mins walk) to visit Sagrada Familia and the beach area of La Barceloneta. Only a couple of stops and so easy!
A welcome cocktail on the rooftop bar was a lovely touch. Lovely little bar, but a bit windy when we arrived. The olives and club sandwich were lovely.
Breakfast was amazing! Absolutely great range of continental, yoghurts, croissants, Spanish bacon, scrambled eggs and so much more. I’m usually put off by a buffet style breakfast, but it was really lovely and set us up for the day. Also, a lovely ambience and nicely designed breakfast area. The staff were also really welcoming at breakfast, which was very much appreciated.
We would most definitely recommend this hotel and will return if we are in Barcelona again. It made my birthday special! Thank you.
