A better location would be hard to find. Just a few steps away from Placa Catalunya and still quiet.
The service was excellent, just as the whole impression of the hotel. Clean, comfortable with a friendly & helpful staff. The room equipment was excellent, just as was my bed . It only was but a bit too big for the size of the room - a single one - and as such it didn't have a balcony nor a view. But you get so many amazing views outside the hotel in Barcelona, that I did not miss it too much. As to the breakfast, the buffet held everything you could wish for and in an excellent quality. I really enjoyed my stay and would choose for it whenever I should travel to Barcelona again.

Myself and my brother visited Barcelona for a long weekend at the end of October. After much research online we booked the H10 Universitat and it did not disappoint!
We arrived at the hotel early due to our flight time and the hotel reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. They had a room ready for us already, which was great after we had been travelling for many hours.
The room itself was fantastic and very clean - We were on the third floor at the front of the hotel which meant we had a balcony which had views down the main road towards Plaça de Catalunya. This leads me onto the location...It was a short walk to the top of the bustling Las Ramblas with plenty of nice restaurants and bars to choose from.
Overall the hotel exceeded our expectations, the room was tidied every day with fresh linen and towels which added to the exceptional service. I would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family and know where I will book when I next travel to Barcelona.

The hotel is located on a busy street near Plaza Catalunya. We stayed last night here to catch an early Aerobus to the airport.
We booked a suite. It was located on the 8th floor, which is the highest room floor. The suites have a decent size balcony.
On the 9th floor is a rooftop terrace bar, which was closed during our stay because of bad weather.
I am sure that during good weather this bar will cause noise to the suites locating under it. At least to our suite #810 which has its entrance next to the lift. The lift doesn't go higher than the 8th floor.
The lobby and the breakfast room seemed to be recently refurbished because they looked very stylish. Our suite was a little outdated in its decor, especially the bathroom and some of the furniture.
More power outlets would have been handy to have. The light switches were a little strange. It was all or nothing lightning. Also, proper teacups for the provided teabags would have been practical. Now the only cups were small espresso cups.
It was a nice touch that the suites will get a welcome bottle of cava. Also, as a Club H10 member we got a drink coupon to the bar.
Because of our early departure, we didn't have breakfast. So I cannot comment on that.

Just down the street from the Plaza Catalunya where all the tours disembark from, walking distance to Las Ramblas, Casa Batllo and Pedera. The room was very clean with a balcony over looking the street. For a single person the room was larger than expected. I normally get shunted to the smallest room. Not here. Large bathroom, coffee and tea in room. No restaurant but they use a local company for boxed dinners if you so choose to have something delivered to your room. However there are many tapas restaurants within 2 blocks. Rooftop bar but it was raining so I didn't get to experience at night. Very efficient front desk staff. The shower pressure was fabulous. Great selections at breakfast hot and cold. Free wifi.

We stayed for 5 nights and had a front room with balcony overlooking the main street. Some traffic noise but no more than expected and not a problem in my opinion.
Welcomed with a glass of cava, mints in room every day and welcome cake on lst night. Our room was comfortable size and with good wardrobe though drawer storage a bit limited. Good toiletories, robe and slippers (l set)
Good standard of cleanliness throughout hotel. Pleasant roof-top terrace with soft seating.
Excellent breakfast - hot and cold. The hotel dinner menu is limited but offers a reasonable choice at reasonable prices and includes an aperitif.
Staff throughout the hotel were pleasant and helpful
We thought this was the perfect location for a visit to Barcelona: at the top of the Ramblas about midway between Catalunya and Hospitat metro stations and 5-7 minute walk on level ground to airport bus stop. Close to the Ramblas but far enough away not to be in middle of noisy night-time "celebrations".

Upgrades are available dependent on availability. We had no problems with noise. However, it depends how sensitive you are to noise
