Write a reviewFrom the moment you check in with the polite staff and complimentary glass of Cava until the moment the front desk calls a taxi for you when you check out you cannot go wrong with this hotel.
We had two rooms with a view of the street ( 5th floor), a balcony in each which allowed you to stand and enjoy the fast moving city. The doors to the balcony blocked out the traffic noise when it was time to call it a day and the bed was a lovely medium firm ( i hate soft beds), it was also massive! The room was quite spacious for a city hotel ( i believe some single rooms or basic rooms are a bit cramped so go for the better double).
The rooftop bar is fabulous for an early evening drink to look out over the city, it closes at 11-30pm but so do others. ( we went to other hotels with rooftop bars to compair and think this is the best overall for views, the Grand Central has a pool for guests only and is quite good , The H10 Montcada has quite a good rooftop but we preferred the Universitat). The Universitat breakfast has a vast selection of good quality foods, including a hot choice. On a map the hotel looks like it may be a bit outside of the main tourist areas but it is literally a two minute walk to Placa de Catalunya. I have stayed in the Olivia Plaza hotel in Placa de Catalunya before but in my opinion the H10 universitat is better.

We went on a 2 1/2 week trip to Europe in July/August. Our first 3 nights were at the H10 Universitat. The location cannot be beat. Minutes from many major tourist sites and the metro. The staff at the hotel was beyond nice and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Our flight landed at 10am and we were told that rooms weren't ready until 2 or 3pm. I asked the front desk if there was anything they could do for us and they were able to get a room clean for us by 1pm. A quick lunch and we were in our room!
As with most hotels in Europe, the standard room is not as big as in American hotels. But, the room was well furnished with good air conditioning and the free Wi-Fi worked well the entire stay. It was a nice bonus that we realized we had taken for granted when other hotels tried to charge us for Wi-Fi later on. The rooftop bar was wonderful at sunset. It was not crowded and the staff there were pleasant.
We would absolutely stay at the hotel again. It was the best one we stayed at on our entire trip.
The real kicker, though, is what happened after we left. When leaving the room for checkout, I accidentally left $900 worth of rail tickets on the bed. I didn't realize this until I was halfway to Madrid. Immediately I called the hotel from the train. It turns out THEY had been trying to contact ME. The maid had found the tickets and turned them in. Over the next day I coordinated with the staff to have the train tickets rush mailed to our hotel in Madrid. The hotel actually sent someone immediately to the post office to mail my tickets! Everyone I spoke with could not have been nicer or more accommodating. This is what above and beyond truly means. And this is why I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were flying in and out of Barcelona but changed plans last minute and needed another hotel in Barcelona for a night. What a great hotel! Our room was quite small but spotless with an incredible shower. Our nespresso did not work in the room and they sent up two cappuccinos to our room. The welcome mimosas and snacks were an added treat! The rooftop bar was lovely and the perfect place for an early evening drink. The front desk staff was so great and accommodating! We would definitely stay at an H10 hotel again!

Great comfortable clean hotel. Staff very helpful with information about tours etc. Bottle of bubbly on arrival, took it on rooftop bar & enjoyed the brillaint view. Breakfast has every possible option covered, whatever you want to eat, you won't go hungry & can't fault it. Location is minutes from Place de Catalunya & Las Ramblas. I would definately return to this hotel again.

The staff were amazing, so helpful with bright personalities. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was very clean, modern and had everything we needed. The rooftop bar was the place to be - very comfortable, great views and amazing staff. Drinks very reasonably priced with complimentary nibbles. Just ask the bar manager where is the best place to eat ...he knows it all. Oh yes, the breakfast was fantastic, so much great food to choose from. Highly recommended.

We have a bar open 365 days a year and it is located on the 0 floor. Our terrace bar is always open in good summer weather. Every year we update our opening date due to the changing weather to offer you the best service.
