For me this is a "hidden gem" that we were not able to visit a few years ago. It's one of the most beautiful creations of Gaudi in my opinion. It's cosy, not crowded and us has a lovely atmosphere.

Very interesting trip around Gaudí's first commission. Some beautiful architecture, and amazing features & details - as you'd expect from the work of Gaudí. On what felt like a slightly smaller scale than other locations, but none the worse for that. Nice to get a cool drink in the cafe, and was also quite impressed with the shop too. Definitely a great way to spend an hour or so.

We visited Casa Vicens the day after we visited Casa Batlló. The houses could not be more different. Vicens is much more spacious, beautiful and liveable than the more central Batlló. The influence of Japanese and Arabic design makes it a stunning home and the way that it is designed with nature and airflow in mind makes it a wonderful place to visit. It is the most wheelchair accessible place we have visited in Barcelona as you can take the elevator to every area of the house and you can operate it without a staff member. It is a shame that the gardens were not protected and kept as it would make Casa Vicens even better. The staff were lovely and approachable and the cafe was nicely located. Would definitely recommended a visit.

This a truly special place. The audio guide was perfect; not overly detailed while still sharing a lot of information. It’s a peaceful oasis amidst the busy city, and well worth the stop! ~60-90 min total depending how long you want to spend.

After doing Casa Batllo, Casa Mila and Palau Guell, I was worried that Casa Vicens would be a waste of time. However, it was a really lovely experience! The explanations provided by the audio guide were great and this house is a true architectural wonder! Also loved the exhibit showcasing houses by Gaudi's comtemporaries as well as the presentation of the history of the house.

This is one of the fewer known of Gaudi's works, but also well worth a visit! The audioguide is very clear and insightful, and this little hidden gem has quite its own charm.

Quite different than other Gaudi designs - but equally magnificent. I could easily live in this home!! Visiting the rooftop is great, but only open if it's not raining. I would recommend this if you're a Gaudi fan

Beautiful architecture and decoration inside and out. Much less crowded than other Gaudí attractions. Easy to get to by metro or about a half hour walk from Casa Mila/ La Pedrera.

Beautiful building embodying Gaudi's amazing designs. Casa Vicens was the first building that Gaudi designed in his life, and frankly it is a perfect depiction of his brilliant mind. The colours and architecture are all unique and Gaudi created illusions in such a way that a person seated inside the building would feel they are sitting outside under the clear sky.

Better than the other Gaudi houses and attractions by far. This casa is extremely interesting and slightly out of the city center so there are fewer tourists.

This is a gem of a place. It’s not hard to see why Gaudí is so highly regarded. Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

We did not plan to visit Casa Vicens but we had to cancel Park Guell due to a taxi strike. We were not disappointed. The building is utterly stunning. It is out of the way but worth the trip. Not as crowded as Battlo and some other Gaudi buildings and the workers were friendly. There is a nice cafe. Worthwhile if you can fit it in.

I wasn't expecting much because it sounded like it was a quiet museum. I loved how the outside looked and couldn't believe Gaudi used porcelain tiles on the exterior. Anyway, my husband and I spent 2.5 hours soaking up this wonder. it will not disappoint you! It's so clever and beautiful. Gaudi's first house!

This was not on my “must see” list but I had extra time and decided to stop by and take a few photos. I wasn’t planning to go inside, but I’m so glad I did. This building was as amazing as Casa Batllo and the architectural details of the interior surpasses the Casa Mila by a longshot….and without the pomp and circumstance or the ridiculous prices and crowds of the aforementioned. It’s an absolute must visit!

I would suggest anyone visiting Barcelona for the first time to have a visit to this first house of Gaudi. The house was interesting and accessible. There are also different information concerning the history of the house and Gaudi. The staff there were also friendly and helpful. Finally, a €3 gift coupon was provided for use at their souvenir store, which made the visit all the more merrier.
