We had the 3rd Reich tour in Munich with Josh. It was an excellent tour, well prepared and each step was excellently explained. Josh is the best guide I have ever had.

What do you expect from a good walking tour in a city?
Captivating stories starring historical and modern-day characters , insights into the controversial sides of the country's history, perhaps, some urban legends to liven the spirits up.
Jake combines all these in a powerful cocktail that keeps you totally immersed in the tour from the first minute till the end.
But there is one other thing. Being an avid participant of walking tours, I'm always a little bit afraid that the guide will try to play a stand-up comedian filling the tour with cliche jokes. However, Jake's tour feels more like an actual stand-up comedy performance and he will have you laughing out loud sooner or later along the tour. Importantly, this will not detriment the educational aspect in any way.
Last but not least, you will see that Jake loves Munich and this love is contagious.

After randomly running into Jake in Munich's central square, I decided to check out his tour group and see what it was all about.
Cue 6 hours of fantastic learning. Jake is an acutely intelligent, impassioned, knowledgeable tour guide that kept a group of variant travelers wholly engaged. Munich is a beautiful city; you'd be doing yourself a dishonor to not consult Jake's very well-priced priced tours.
11/10!

I’d highly recommend doing the Third Reich Walking Tour with Sandemans. Jax was a highly knowledgeable, passionate and respectful guide who shared stories of how his family were caught up in World War II.
Often, the understanding of how and why the Nazi Party came to power is somewhat overlooked when learning about this period of history. Jax presented answers to this in a chronological order and took us to places in Munich that were critical to the rise of this movement.
Furthermore, Jax explained how the de-Nazification process took place in Germany and what life was like for anybody living in Germany and occupied Europe during World War II.
Remembering and understanding this part of history is so important to ensuring it never happens again. Regardless of how deep your interest is in this part of history, doing this tour with Jax is an absolute must when visiting Munich.

Jake was a very engaging, humorous guide who had endless facts and jokes to go along! He was fantastically knowledgeable on everything from the history of the city, World War II, to the nazi party! Highly recommend him for any and all tours as well as a beer with him afterward!

We had a walking tour of Munich led by Jake, with 25 students. Jake was superb - engaging, humorous and fantastically knowledgeable. Beyond that, his rapport with the students that built over just 3 hours was excellent, which led to them remaining engaged for the entire tour, despite being tired from travel! I would recommend Jake as a guide without hesitation - he was the consummate professional and his tour will be a highlight for many of our students.

Jax gave a great tour detailing this history of the subject. He walked us to several different locations, shared pictures from other time periods and explained events at these spots, while tying the whole story together. Interesting material presented by one of the best guides we had while in Munich. Ask for Jax!

Fantastic tour. Jax is a very talented guide whom is not only incredibly connected and knowledgable, but has an amazing technique. The way that Jax clearly and chronologically delivered the subject matter was impeccable. I have no doubt that the other tours that EMT offer would be also of an equivalent 'excellent' standard. Thank you Jax, it was the first time during the Octoberfest week that the lads from Aus were totally engaged and enthralled.

My wife and I toured with Jax on a tour with a separate company that Jax provides services to, and I then learned he and another highly rated guide have started their own company. I didn't go specifically with Experience Munich Tours, but would be sure that any tour led by either of the two owners of this company would be top notch. I look forward to checking them out specifically on my next trip to Munich.
