About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- janetvN1645EM0 contributionsWonderfulOur guide, Cristian Garcia was amazing! We had a few transportation issues and he managed all of them with ease and never appeared stressed. With the delays, he asked if we wanted to extend our timeframe, even though it was his son’s birthday. Great day, great experience, great guide!!Written July 21, 2024
- 356vk0 contributionsWonderful Tour of SalzburgWe arrived at the Radius Tours Office at 9 am (Dachauer Straße 4) and met up with our group. Our guide Mark (German) was joyous and energetic. We reached Salzburg around 12 pm, and then took a bus to the old town. He gave us an informative tour of Salzburg’s Old Town, sprinkled with little funny tidbits about the city. Mark gave us many options to choose from when we were given free time (~ 2hrs) to explore the city. We chose to explore the Fortress Hohensalzburg on top of the nearby mountain. It was around 200 steps to the very top of the castle. It was worth it though, with a panoramic view of the city and the Alps in the distance. We boarded the train back around 5 pm and it reached the station around 7 pm. Overall, it was a great tour, definitely worth the price and would recommend to anyone who has a free day while in Munich.Written July 20, 2024
- RC79260 contributionsA Day out to Salzburg - A nice side trip to Austria from MunichIt was an excellent experience. You first go to the Radius Tours office to make yourself known. Our tour guide was Lucia. You then make yourself down to the train station to Salzburg. Lucia was lively and funny. You’ll have a fun time if she is your tour guide. We had a great time in Salzburg. You get a 1.5 hours walking tour around town then you’re allowed to roam freely for 3 hours. We visited Mozart’s house and tried the famous Sacher Torte from the Sacher Hotel. A must try. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was a nice side trip to Austria from Munich.Written July 20, 2024
- Kathryn A0 contributionsExcellent Salzburg day tripMark was an excellent tour guide on our day trip to Salzburg. He made sure the group travelled safely in the “pack” from the train and bus. He explained things well and was so delightful. We were traveling with two teenagers, who absolutely loved it as well. Great trip!Written July 20, 2024
- sara m0 contributionsLong day beautiful country/castleOur tour guide was wonderful. It is a big hike up to the castle if you’re out of shape. It’s very pretty and the tour is well organized. The inside is eh, ok. Nothing spectacular and no pictures allowed. It’s worth doing though.Written July 20, 2024

Super informative tour that was made better by Josh's passion for the topic. It was a crazy hot day and Josh was very intentional about adjusting to find shady spots to share his knowledge and ensure people were not getting overheated.

A fantastic tour led by radius tour guide Nic - an amazing historian who provided valuable insights as we walked the path of the Third Reich’s origins. He was filled with amazing facts and backgrounders on the individuals behinds and the places where they wove the web of evil. I would highly recommend this tour especially if it’s lead by someone like Nic.

This was an excellent tour! Scott was a wealth of information and kept us all engaged! He was like a great professor in college, one that didn’t make you fall asleep. We loved hearing about Germany, Nazis and Hitler and what unfolded during this terrible time.

Josh was an excellent guide. You could see his passion and knowledge come through in the walking tour. Note this isn't a "fun" tour, it covers portions of some of the darkest times in human history. However, it's a must do, and a different part of Munich other than the usual touristy stuff

A very interesting and informative tour of Munich old town. A lot of detail about how the Nazi party came to be. Very interesting to see the sights of where some of the war took place.

Really enjoyed this tour with Sara. She was a great guide and very knowledgeable. She described the beginning and rise of the Nazi party as we saw sites where things happened, with a lot of insights. Probably not super suitable for children but if you like history you will enjoy this tour. Glad I did it.

For the Third Reich Walking Tour…Is the whole 3 hours outdoors or is there a chance to sit down in a building and listen for part of the time? Is it all fast paced walk? Are there any restrooms available during that time?
ParrotKeyWest
Atlanta, GA10 contributions
Each tour guide will probably do things differently, but the guide I had kept up the pace. If you're concerned about needing rest and restrooms during the 3 hours, you should probably stay away from this one.
There seems to be no information about booking with a child, other than when I try to book 2 adults and 1 child, there is no availability but availability for 3 adults on the same day.
Are children not allowed?
Thanks!

Am sure children are allowed. We had our teenagers with us. Probably not that suited to young children (eg under 10).
Is there parking nearby?

There's a parking lot right in front of the Radius Tours office! But we didn't drive, we used public transportation to get there.

Hi friend I’m not sure about credit card situation but you can easily go to the tour company booking office at Munich train station and book it there just as I did 👍 you won’t have any probs doing it that way
Hi, i’m trying to book for 1 pax for 23Feb 11am tour. After trying with few credit cards a that are supposed to work for online transactions, I’m still getting the message that the credit card is unusable, try with another credit card. What would be potential issue ?

Credit cards are far from universal in Germany, try a debit card , this time of year you could probably turn up on the time with cash too.

You will have to look up Radius Tours to find availability, I do know they sometimes have. You could go to their office on the platform of the main station opposite platform 32. Hope that helps.

You can take the train one stop or it's probably about a 15 to 20 minute walk.
