Hundreds of thousands of people visit BMW's four-cilinder BMW tower and the bowl-shaped museum next to it each year. Iconic
Even if you’re only slightly interested in cars this is an excellent place to visit. Well laid out, signs in German and English and very extensive displays. There is currently a big exhibition/ collection of motorbikes as it’s the centenary of first production.

    Not bad!
It's a very good car museum and show room. We did the trinity of car museums, Porsche, Mercedes (Stuttgart) and BMW (Munich) in 5 days, so comparisons are natural. They are all very good experiences, slickly presented and glossy enough for motor fans and those who are not. The BMW showroom with its interactive area for smaller kids (4-12 yo recommended) was great and I played (49yo) happily with the DJ booth myself. The mix of new in the BMW Welt (plus Rolls Royce and M series) and old in museum was a nice contrast. One main difference is BMW was more technical and displayed more engines

    Immersion into the BMW world
I am not a big fan of cars but being in Munich, I was told that the BMW museum was a place to go. I was not disappointed, the trip made me see the evolution of BMW throughout the decades where they ascended and established themselves as being a pioneer in the industry. I would 100% recommend to everyone.

    Very well done
So if you want a factory tour you need to set that up AT LEAST 6 wks in advance and NOT offered during holidays. Now to explain what we learned because we were confused until we got here. The Welt is free and basically a showroom. They want you to buy. Having said that, you can treat it like a museum, kept us busy for a good hour. There is a large gift store and cafe. They open at 0730 which is nice to hang around until museum opens at 1000. Parking is on Welt side and a bridge connects over the street outside. It’s Dec so they actually have a gluwein stand inside like the Christmas markets. Now, the museum… if you book an English tour like I did, 6 euro, that includes entrance fee. You don’t need the tour if you like to go slow and read, plenty of English. The tour is not anything extra, so may be redundant. Also has a nice cafe/coffee shop and another gift store. Come and enjoy. Probably 3-4 hr, at least for us. Very nice staff! Oh they do charge for parking.

    Excellent - Very Crowded
Arrived around 10:45 over the holiday and facility was already packed. Very well done museum detailing BMW's history in aviation, cycles and autos. Some wonderful older models on display which were beautiful. Brand and logo history very interesting as well. Well worth it.

    Calling all car lovers!
We really wanted to check out the BMW museum on this trip and we were not disappointed! The bikes, the cars, and the history was incredible. Make sure when you leave the main building, walk across that huge bridge and check out the dealership/factory! I had no idea that was there, we just stumbled into it, and it was even more amazing! Lots of fun stuff to do and check out inside. Make sure you have a few hours for it all!

    Really enjoyable
This is a really good display of BMW vehicles, both cars and motorcycles throughout the ages. Also there is a lot of information to read about too. I am not a massive car fan but found the displays really interesting and the exhibits are all immaculate. Well worth a visit as it was only 10 Euros to go in and it took well over an hour to look around.

1/2 Day at the BMW Museum - Great Time!
We enjoyed the history and seeing so many cool cars. Several were limited production and so special. Loved seeing Elvis’s car with an Elvis soundtrack accompanying. Easy access by tram and great 1/2 day experience.

Great Visit to the BMW Museum
Great Museum and worth visiting in Munich. Impressive display of BMW's and interesting historical context. Definitely recommend. Even though I am not a car enthusiast, I really enjoyed this museum, especially on a cold and rainy day in Munich.
