We had a day trip plan for Kyoto and wanted to book a tour guide, especially to assist with translating and transportation guidance of getting around grabbing taxis and using the train. Most of the tours that had a set itinerary had set meet time anywhere between 8:30am to 10:30am. Unfortunatelyour train arrived closer to 11am needed something with flexibility with start time and end times. If the standard tour times don't work, this tour is for you! I stumbled upon the 4 hour tour and a plus is you can pick your time and this tour also has an option to extend before or day of your tour! I ended up extended our tour prior since we had a full dayin Kyoto. Our tour was found on Viator through Japan Guide Agency. Our tour guide, Kazu san immediately reached out and wanted to know what sites we wanted to see so he can plan our itinerary. We arrive and met him at the meeting spot. Note you let the tour company know where you would like to meet. He welcome us and had our itinerary already printed and told us the history and showed a map of where we were going. We had visited a few temples and even had a nice tea ceremony. He definitely squeezed in a lot of sites, especially since one I wanted to visit was the Castle and it was unexpectedly close today. Kazu immediately had a plan B and another place to show us. We enjoy our tour and all the information that Kazu shared with us throughout the day. I will be to book again the next time we come! Yoshi is my tour guide for the half-day Ise tour. From the start to the end, he has taken care of me and made very good recommendations about food and transport. He is funny, knowledgeable yet highly interesting in his presentation style. I never get bored the entire time and I also feel very relaxed to conduct the tour at my own pace. It's a wonderful experience, and a guide is definitely needed to understand the meanings of Ise shrines.

We enjoyed learning from an expert local tour guide Norifumi. We visited the Osaka castle and did not have to wait in line because our tour guide was able to go to a special line for just tour guides! Even though it was crowded, we made it through the castle and got to see everything. We also walked through Dotonburi which was interesting but our favorite place was Shinsekai where our tour guide showed us a very small but amazing sushi place for dinner, so inexpensive and so delicious! Very good air conditioning a big plus!!!

We had a super afternoon with Yoko! It was at the start of our trip so we had a lot of questions about practical things like transport and paying in Japan, but especially about the Japanese culture, daily life, food, work, sports, etc. And Yoko answered them all so nicely (and patiently) while we were travelling together from one beautiful spot to another, and during our lunch together. What a lovely, open woman! And - quite important - her english is super! Thanks Yoko, for a wonderful introduction to Tokyo and Japan - we had an amazing holiday afterwards too!

Mika is a warm, easy going and fantastic guide. Knows perfectly well every single aspect of Naoshimq. We were delighted with her companion and kindness.
