Even some of the subway maps have only Japanese characters, and my hotel had no English sign, so this can make traveling a challenge if you do not know Japanese. But this centre is very helpful. The people at the desk speak excellent English and have maps of the area that are very helpful. They helped me work out the subway route to a tourist site I wanted to visit, and also helped me find a currency exchange near their office. They were pleasant and reliable in their directions.
