Since this was our first time in Nagoya, we wanted to take a tour with someone local so we could learn about the area. Tomo-san was absolutely amazing! She is so kind and knowledgeable about local hotspots and customs! We had an amazing experience! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn where the locals go!

We had a great time and enjoyed both the Nagoya Castle and Hommaru Palace, as well as the Toyota museum visit, immensely. Very impressive and very interesting ! Yuko is a fantastic guide and made a big difference: very knowledgeable and attentive - and also very proficient in English and super organized - we had a very safe and smooth experience.

Our guide Chao was fabulous, she had a lot of knowledge was well prepared and her English was great. She was very helpful and adaptable and we had a great day seeing the main sights of Nagoya. Thank you Chao.

Yuki was a great guide. We took the subways and visited Nagoya Castle and then downtown Nagoya. It was a beautiful city and Nagoya was very helpful on the tour. We also had a great lunch at our request at an excellent shabu-shabu restaurant. All in all we highly recommend the tour.

In summary, Moka is knowledgeable, friendly and anticipative. Specifically, probably also due to her native upbringing, she has good insights into the history of the city as well as the castle and the general city - areas that the trip has taken us today. She is also very friendly - partly aided by her time in the US such that she understands the nuisance of US culture - such that she has been able to engage and listen to us with great understanding and discipline. In addition, she, having probed to find out much about our profiles and this first visit to Nagoya coupled with numerous (10+) trips to Japan, can anticipate our understanding (or the lack of) to share with us the right amount and depth into different aspects and history of the surrounding. Oh, she also has gone out of her way to show us the subway and JR systems and stations- which is very appreciated. Overall, we find the trip with her presence highly rewarding and fun. She and her service have cemented our felt need for retaining good local guide. Very awesome of her.

A few days ago I booked this private tour (Conf# 1480159197; Booking Ref# 1094472377) for our group of 6. Then I received a note from the tour company that they wanted to add 4 people to our group. I checked with our group and they agreed. Then I received another note to add 4 more, which we declined - going from a private group of 6 to 14 was a big change and not what we booked. Then a request for 4 more, which would have made 20. What really upset me was basically "If you don't like it, Cancel! Just as simple as that! Well i did cancel and booked a similar tour through Viator, We've always had such great success with your tours and I feel this company doesn't deserve to be in your catalogue of tours. My girlfriend, close friend and I had a tour with Yukie and had an amazing experience. She showed us the Nagoya castle and explained the history which was very great. She took us to Ghibli park and took many photos for us, the whole experience was very nice.

Had a wonderful five hour Nagoya tour with Moka and her apprentice guide as we toured the historic grounds of the 16th Century Nagoya Castle. The stone walls of the moat winding around grounds, although now empty of water, is still an impressive sight. Moka is a great guide, easy to converse with and very good when describing important dates, times and noble positions such as Samauri. From there we took the local train through Nagoya subway, an experience in itself if you've never done it before to downtown Nagoya where we looked at markets and shops of all descriptions, a picturesque watercovered viewing platform and lunch in one of Nagoya's excellent restaurants. Moka was happy to alter plans to take us where my wife and I preferred, her day is flexible depending on client needs. What an excellent day, she's a must to have when sightseeing in Nagoya, highy recommended.

From the pick up at our hotel to City Tour and lunch everything was excellent, Moka is very accomodating and knowledgeable on the tourist spots we’ve visited. She even extend her way as we requested to visit the Toyota Museum which was not included in the itinerary. She speaks good english and assist you all her way. Highly recommended!

I took my 6 year old son to Moka’s cooking class to make 4 different types of sushi, gyoza and miso soup and he had a blast! Moka met us at Nagoya station and rode with us via train to her home. She was very welcoming and opened her very clean home to us. The class lasted about 1 and a half hours. She was very throughout and even had the ingredient list printed out for me to take home. Moka was so good with my son and really got him to participate. We opted out of the supermarket tour since I already know my way around. I would highly recommend this class to anybody who is interested in learning the secrets that make Japanese food so delicious!

I had a great cooking experience at moka’s house. She showed me how to make sushi gyoza and miso soup. We had a lot of fun and definitely can recommend moka’s class! Thank you!

In just a few short hours, Moka showed me the main highlights of Nagoya, introduced me to many new customs in Japan, explained some of the nuances of Shintoism and Buddhism and even gave me the confidence to ride the local subway! She really made me feel at ease and was flexible with any of my special requests. Nagoya is her hometown and she really lets her love of the city show!
