What travelers are saying
- JohnstannoSingapore, Singapore509 contributionsI am slightly disappointed to know the castle is closed. Yes, you cannot enter the castle. We can only walk around the compound of the castle. It is nice but of course not as interesting as those castles which you can enter. There is a photo booth which a photographer will take 3 photos of you and you get to choose 1. A small photo is free while a bigger version costs JPY 1,200.Written May 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We didn't go into the house due to time constraints, but wandering the grounds and admiring the architecture was also a treat! The Sightseeing Bus (Me-guru) stops right outside this house, and is worth the 500yen price as it takes u thru a loop of the city covering many interesting places!Written February 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ryanteoGuangzhou, China7,741 contributionsThis merchant district is 6 mins by Me-guru bus or 15 mins walk from Nagoya Castle. Traces of the old castle town in Shikemichi streetscape can be seen. Most old buildings are creatively renovated as cafes and restaurants (serving local and western food.)
The Endoji Honmachi shopping street is next to Shikemichi.Written June 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PinkSpider88Nagoya1 contributionSo, I don't know what this picture really is. I went to Tsurumai park to go see the tomb and it's actually just a hill. While Tsurumai park is beautiful. I'm not sure what this is supposed to be a picture of, because the tomb is literally a hill with a fence around it. I guess in spring it's surrounded by cherry trees, but it's really not worth the bother of finding.Written October 30, 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
