Good location, short ride on the Aerobus from the airport about 3 stops, plata universitat, then a 2 min walk to hotel. Very short walk to las Ramblas which is great because it is away from the craziness. Rooms are clean and remodeled very good space, large bathroom. There is AC, for some reason the AC in my room was very weak but in my friends room it worked well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not included it cost 16 euro which was too expensive in my opinion. There is a Starbucks a 2 mins walk away. A 3-5 minute walk puts you buy many food stores and clothing shop. The trains and bus are a 1-3 min walk. I have no complaints I would absolutely stay here again.

Super little hotel in the heart of Barcelona, just a 10 minute walk from La Ramblas. Our comfortable room on the sixth floor was huge, with a fantastic balcony providing views over the distant Segrada Familia. Staff were very welcoming. Secure underground parking was a block away and available at a discount. Plenty of nice local bars/restaurants if you don't want to walk into the main town. (Recommend "Brunch" for breakfast!)

The Calendonia was a perfect base for our two day stay and I highly recommend it. The only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although the mini-bar was a nice touch and reasonably priced.

The hotel was clean and safe, and the location is quite nice, which is a great start and why I'm giving three stars.

HOWEVER, we had a couple of major issues. The first was upon arrival, the hotel did not have the room with two beds that we had reserved. We were told that "reservations were subject to availability" — which is not really a reservation at all, in my opinion. After an uncomfortable night with one of us on the sofa, they were able to find us the room we requested.

Second, the air conditioning was off for the entire week-long duration of our stay. Temperatures in our room ranged between 29 and 32 degrees C (84 and 90 F), even with the window open at night to the very noisy street outside. Every day we got a different story from the staff. "It's broken." "They're fix it tomorrow." "It's turned off for the season." etc.

While it was clean, safe, and well located, I certainly wouldn't book this place again.

After reading several comments regarding the location of the hotel, we decided to book a room. We requested a room not facing the street, and I must say, we had a nice view of clean buildings and back yards. No noisy at all! The location was unbeatable! Front desk staff was always quick to make suggestions, give directions, and request tours/taxis for us. The breakfast was well worth it!

I had a “twin” room. This was on a the first floor, with a window to an interior courtyard where anyone could enter. The airco was only set to Heat so I had to have the windows open to cool off.

The room itself was fine enough for a tiny space. The WiFi was good, which was necessary for the location. Staff was friendly and breakfast was surprisingly tasty.

I stayed here for the location, with easy access to transit. I would probably do that again, but absolutely not in the same room.

Long back stayed here, review is late.

Old world charm and walkable distance from the main shopping district.

Rooms were okay sized and overall staff hospitality makes Tipu feel special.

Does not have the wow factor but can definitely be your choice of stay at Barcelona

We had a lovely big room with good facilities for my disabled husband. The staff were fantastic and could not do enough to accommodate any wishes. Very clean. Lovely breakfast room with a nice choice of food. Great location within minutes of Place de Catalunya and Las Ramblas.

A great little hotel, close to the heart of Barcelona. As with most hotels near Las Ramblas it didn't look much from the outside but the interior was quite classy.

The food was very good and the service excellent. Our own room was very comfortable - a good size bath that was needed after a day sight seeing.

The location was excellent - central to the tourist bus route and only a short walk to a wealth of good resteraunts.

We would highly recommend this hotel!

Hi, I don't remember an iron in the room, but they can probably supply one. They do have a laundry service. As Yas46 suggested why not give them a ring, they all seemed to speak good English +34 93 453 02 00.
