Nestled near Hyde Park, the Corus Hotel Hyde Park garners praise for its central location, with guests appreciating the easy access to local attractions and transport links. Clean rooms with comfortable beds offer a respite, though some visitors have mentioned that a refresh is needed to address dated decor and stained carpets. While the breakfast spread is often highlighted positively, guests have called out inconsistencies in both the level of service and the quality of amenities. The noise level has also been a concern for many, and opinions on the hotel's value and atmosphere are mixed, with the lobby's appearance receiving some compliments amidst general disappointment with the hotel's dated ambiance and perceived lack of value for the cost.

We were allocated an upgrade room on what was originally booked and it was warm and quite large for London City centre 4 star hotels.

The location is brilliant for exploring the city and the breakfast was quite good.

We had a hire car with us but managed to find FREE parking a few streets away as the parking zone finished at 4pm on the Saturday we arrived until the Monday morning.

Would love to stay here again and will be checking its prici g when we're coming back.

Thank you Baiba for organising everything.

The room on the invoice was definitely not the room we were given, not a lot of guests around, didn't use any dining facilities has it was cheaper to eat out. To be fair, though the room was small it was clean and had a bath and lots of hot water which was a bonus after a hard days sightseeing in London, ideally situated opposite Hyde park and a great little pub called The Swan on Bayswater road next door. A good base but with the good Covid protocol in practice it was hard to judge this hotels potential.

When booking our afternoon tea reservation in advance of our London trip, we had requested a table with a view of Hyde Park. Upon arrival, there was 1 woman seated at the best table for overlooking Hyde Park! Instead we were given a side end table with somewhat of a view. Our server was friendly and attentive, despite having several tables to take care of. Our tea was refilled; however, we were disappointed that we couldn't get more scones as there are just 4 served (2 ea). (Avoid the cheddar cheese/bacon flavor scones as they were over-baked and quite hard. Go with the original, plain scones instead!). There was a variety of small finger size sandwiches and a couple mini tarts. Overall, it was a good experience, but we have had better afternoon teas at other places.

Please note that standard rooms at this hotel vary not just in size, but also basic comforts. On a recent stay my husband and I were allocated a single sized room with a small double bed located against a wall preventing one of us being able to get out of bed during the night. Additionally the bed head was placed under a very draughty widow (which could easily be rectified with secondary glazing), which meant it was necessary to sleep at the other end of the bed.
To add insult to injury, the breakfast was appalling. Not only were the fried eggs like bullets, all of the so called hot food was being kept warm by a single tea light located underneath each large tray.
I asked the chef to warm up my plate of food and after placing my plate under a grill for a few minutes, he then decided to tip the contents onto a cold plate so I ended up with a heap of luke warm bacon, egg and beans.
Naturally a complaint was made, and after several emails back and forth the only compensation offered was £7 per person for the cost of the breakfast, even though the hotel charge around £15 per person. However the hotel are prepared to offer us an upgrade to a better room should we be inclined to book again with them in the future! Do they think I have completely lost my marbles? Please be very wary should you be thinking of staying at this establishment.

Dear Shirlpowell, Thank you for writing a review of your recent stay at Corus Hotel Hyde Park. Firstly, I would like to apologise for the issues you had during your recent visit. It is unfortunate to hear that you found some aspects of your stay unsatisfactory, in particular with the room you were originally checked-in and the service you received at breakfast time. We always strive to provide great customer service to all our guests and it is a shame that you found our VIP experience offer for your next stay not to be a suitable solution for your last stay's experience. I am sorry to hear that you would not want to return to our hotel in the future, nonetheless, I remain at your disposal. Thank you again for the feedback. Kind Regards, Pradeep Roy

We arrived at the Corus Hotel to an booking that wasn't made correctly. This was a concern that was dealt with by the reception and bookings team and cleared up by the time we could check-in. Baiba, Verah and Martina were excellent as well as all the catering staff. The chef's were attentive and didn't mind helping us with specific special breakfast orders. Food was always fresh and well prepared. Maybe the selection could be more varied day to day but that is more of a suggestion than a complaint.

The housekeeping staff were always really accommodating and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything just worked and if something wasn't as expected, it was handled quickly.

We didn't make use of the restaurant on-site due to the short duration (7 nights) of our stay but visited many of the other area restaurants in the Hyde Park area.

The hotel is well situated with a very small walk to the tube station and access to Hyde Park.

All in all, we will surely stay there again for our next visit.

This was a present from our son and we arrived with high hopes. Hotel is in a good location opposite Hyde Park and very near to a Lancaster Gate tube station.

The tea rooms have a view of Hyde park but are scruffy, carpet needed vacuuming at 2.00pm in afternoon, cloth covers on chairs all stained, no table cloths, smeared glasses. The waitress announced loudly that our voucher did not allow for a glass of champagne, which was embarrassing! When I ordered a glass of champagne and said I would pay for it I was brought a very small glass of Prosecco!
Sandwiches were made with cheap sliced bread, stale in places with almost no filling. Scones were undercooked and stogy in the centre. Jam was the very cheapest money could buy! Individual cakes were the best thing about the tea.
I felt very sorry that the tourists here probably felt this was representative of a British tea, and it is NOT! Mean, cheap, badly served and 3rd rate. The worst tea I have ever had! Beware!

Lovely hotel, great location for Hyde Park. Booked a standard room which was a bit on the small size which was our choice, next visit we will defiantly upgrade to a better choice of room. Parked our car at the Royal Lancaster Hotel for £15 per 24hrs, only about 3-4minutes walk away.

So...we arrived in London after a fairly gruelling 25 hour flight. It was 6am, dark and raining. We made our way to the Corus to ask if we could just leave our bags there prior to checking in at 2.30pm. To my eternal gratitude, we were given the option of checking into the room straight away. I'm not suggesting this would happen for every guest, but to be able to have a shower and freshen up before hitting the sights of London made an incredible difference to our day. The Corus is in a magnificent building, and located right opposite Hyde Park. It's within walking distance of the shops of Oxford Street, though Paddington Station (which is where the Heathrow Express pulls into) is a two-minute walk away. Despite being in such a popular location the hotel was extremely quiet. We didn't dine at the hotel but the dining areas were beautifully presented and would certainly be worth checking out.

I have stayed at Corus Hyde park several times, the hotel is clean and tidy, staff are absolutely brilliant. Breakfast is just great.
The location of the hotel is very spot on, tube station is on the same road few hundred yards walking distance. Hyde park opposite the hotel. The building itself is stunning. The staff are very helpful. We came in summer and we were offered free ice cream which the kids loved. We stayed on new year eve and got complimentary chocolates, which was lovely. Will definitely be coming again.

We stayed in December with our pre-schooler as it was located right next to Hyde Park for a visit to the Winter Wonderland and the Natural History museum (both under 30 minutes away). We did everything on foot, so a comfortable stay was essential. The hotel is very well presented. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, from reception to bar to concierge staff. There is a pub and shop literally next door, local cafes too.
Bayswater was very near to where we found a lovely Chinese restaurant and there is a main retaurant and an opera themed restaurant in the hotel and a local Italian just down the road. Prices were reasonable - steak and chips were c£15 from memory and there is a Malaysian inspired menu too. Breakfast catered for international customers so something for everyone. We particularly appreciated the home comforts in our room and the Nespresso machine, Ferrero Roche and free water - nice touch!
We'd highly recommend this hotel.
