The Loews Miami Beach Hotel emerges as a mixed bag in traveler reviews. While the staff's professionalism and friendliness are often celebrated, guests have called out occasional slow or unhelpful service. Despite its prime location near the beach and local attractions, some guests find the hotel overpriced, correlating high costs with an atmosphere and room conditions that fell short of expectations. While many appreciate the amenities like the clean pool and beach access, issues with noise levels and inconsistent room cleanliness also mar the experience for some visitors.

We stayed at this hotel for the second time. The first time we enjoyed it so much we couldn't wait to go back.

Once again we found the hotel to provide top class Customer Service, nothing was too much trouble.

Danay, who is part of the Reception Back Office staff, provides excellent Customer Service.

Our room was great, with a beach view and great wheelchair accessibility. It was cleaned daily, which is rare at a hotel these days.

We enjoyed the beach and Logan who helped my husband with the beach wheelchair was great.

We can't wait for our next trip here.

We had the chance to stay at this location based on a recommendation from a family member. We were not disappointed.

The facility and staff made sure to emphasize cleanliness and safety during this interesting time that we are in. They did require and enforce their policy on wearing masks while on-site and travelling from one spot to the next (i.e. room to pool). The staff was on top of it and made sure to remind folks to wear them and if the patron did not have one, they would offer one to them. In addition, all staff wore masks at all times. Every single one of them. From the front desk to the staff working the beach.

We enjoyed the pool environment and the beach throughout our stay. That is inclusive of the food and the drinks. The prices were a little high but we expected that and it didn't necessarily shock us. The pool service was excellent and we always had a server checking on us at the right time to make sure that we were taken care of. The service on the beach was a little slower so I wouldn't say it was excellent, but it was still pretty good. They had a lot of ground to cover so again, we expected it to be a little slower. While on the beach, it was clean and seemed to be well maintained. Chairs are complementary and if you wanted anything additional like an umbrella or even a cabana, those prices seemed to be very reasonable as you rented them for the entire day while being able to come and go as you please.

We stayed in a room that had a partial ocean view w/balcony and it definitely served it's purpose. As a couple we had plenty of space to leave our bags, hang up and store our clothing, and do anything else we needed. The room was clean and the bathroom had a nice shower with plenty of space. They are NOT doing their normal housekeeping/turn-down services due to COVID but you could request those needs and they were quick to accommodate our needs. We requested more towels and they responded quickly by bringing us a new set of towels and they took away our used ones.

My wife did get a massage during our stay and she stated that it was wonderful. She ended up getting a 60-minute deep tissue massage and she stated that the person who gave the massage listened to what she wanted and was using all safety precautions during the entire service. She was required to wear a mask and the masseuse wore a mask & gloves throughout. She said she wish she had booked more time as it was the best massage she had in a long time.

Overall...we really enjoyed our stay. It cannot be easy to run a large facility like that while maintaining the safety of staff and patrons. By our observations they did everything they could to ensure that all were safe at all times. WE WILL recommend this location to others and we would absolutely stay there again in the future.

We are huge fans of Loews brand of hotels/ resorts and were looking forward to our visit here. It has a great location and impressive facade alas it is truly only a facade. We are here with a convention and the service has been hit or miss here in Miami. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that the employees at large take advantage of the location and auto-service gratuity of this hotel and therefore provide subpar service. Valets do not open doors or greet you; stand around entertaining each other. Had to roll my window down and ask if they were valets!?! This was our first contact with the hotel staff. Bellhop was super friendly but honestly I was still salty from the valet service and all I had was a overnight bag so he basically rolled it over to the front desk. Check in was easy enough, unfortunately am told they are out of king bed rooms so my husband and I wind up in a double. Fine, whatever. The room is average imo and be aware that you hear everything from closing doors in the hallway, your neighbors closing their dresser drawers to loud music from passing cars outside; we are on the ninth floor. The bathroom door is a trendy frosted glass on rollers however weighs a thousand pounds and doesn’t “ glide “ and needs two hands to open and close, lighted makeup mirror is broken and could use some repairs also no fan. The bedside lamp usb is also broken so only one phone can charge at time but oh yeah they Boost of a minibar but we never received a key during check in so it’s locked even when at check in they charge your credit card upfront for incidentals; fine it can stay locked. Breakfast breads were all dry ( tried a bagel , chocolate muffin and croissant) when you don’t finish a chocolate muffin something is wrong . The made to order omelette station was the savior for our breakfast both in service and freshness of ingredients. I’m not holding my breath that things will dramatically improve overnight however I hope the general manager will take note of what it takes for a gem to shine in the hospitality business and share that with the staff here. I could look past all of the little annoyances I’ve experienced here if only the service shined but it doesn’t.

All the reviews are spot-on with the hotel’s location which is ultimately why I booked the pricey Loews. Staff was very helpful and they have an amazing and highly responsive ‘text’ service for communicating questions or needs during your stay.

We got a suite package which included $125/day in dining which we had no problem using. Pool service had tasty burgers and nachos. Breakfast buffet wasn’t one of the best I’ve seen at top resorts for the price charged. However, the restaurant staff could not have been any nicer and the food was good-especially the avocado toast :).

Minor issue of the suite package $125 food and beverage was that ‘day 1’ began when you arrived, so our late night arrival precluded our need to eat that night. Unknowingly, we intended to use that day’s allocation for our departure day brunch, which wasn’t technically a $125 day. Most importantly, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. I met a tall, male, very seasoned managerial team member who was able to assist us in a prompt and knowledgeable manner. Typically at a hotel I would expect this to end up as a frustrating and unnecessary debate. I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of the staffer who clearly understood reasonable customer service and seamlessly resolved our issue.

In advance of our stay and making the reservation, I double and triple checked the ability to add a rollaway bed to our king + sofa bed suite. I was assured this was possible. When the evening housekeeping gentleman arrived with the bed, he wasn’t sure where to put it, nor did we. This room/suite was definitely not one I’d call spacious. He opened and made it up in the bedroom, put it at the foot of the king size bed, and went on his merry way. We took a look around and determined this wasn’t going to work for us, so we personally managed to fold the bed back up and squeeze it in the (tiny!) living room area between the open sofa bed and sliding balcony door. That worked better despite getting outside was now a challenge to access the sliding door. For 4 nights, we managed.

Pool staff was very pleasant, reliable and even learned my name since I was an early riser and shaded chair-reserver. While it was MLK weekend and not sold out winter break, I wasn’t expecting the usual pool chair battle; but make no mistake, by afternoon, it was a full house! I was very impressed by the ‘time cards’ pool staff used to monitor reserved chairs with no people in them. Beach was also a great alternative including umbrellas for shade. Sunsets were perfect.

As mentioned repeatedly, the Loews location is fantastic. We easily enjoyed Lincoln Road shopping and dining, as well as Espanola Way and hotels along Collins Ave and Ocean Drive. Despite the very small room at a very high price, I would likely stay here again.

I booked this hotel recently in mid January 2021. The property itself is a midsize resort and appeared to be well maintained. However, I found the staff to be highly undertrained in hospitality basics, namely respect and overall friendliness. Covid, unfortunately has contributed to a redefinition of the industry where staff have become more important than the customer. From management to dining, pool and maid service, you are treated to feel as though you are paying for favors and you should be grateful those folks are running the property. There is zero tolerance for almost anything. If you dare have more than 3 cocktails at the pool bar, you are rudely cut-off by a nasty Latina who doesn't want to talk to you anymore after you inquire as to why. Rooms are not cleaned each day because the maids only provide "limited service" which requires a phone call for towels only. The restaurant is understaffed by nasty, untrained waiters who make you beg for everything. For the price, the treatment I received in general was horrendous. I think this hotel is currently most suitable for families with small children. Spring Breakers ought not even consider it, nor should single travelers or groups of friends generally.

We stayed at the Loews hotel for our 2nd wedding anniversary. This was our first trip out of NY since covid. I never write reviews let alone horrible ones, but I was extremely upset after spending countless hours planning our anniversary getaway.

When we got to the room, I noticed it was extremely filthy. Not only was it disgusting, but the room itself was in poor condition. Toilet wasn’t clean, dust and grime everywhere, shower wasn’t clean and some weird stuff stained on the walls. Floors dirty and not mopped. Scratches were all over the floor, stains and scuffs all over furniture, etc. I would expect top quality, cleanliness, and presentation to be top priority when you are paying $400+ a night. I would expect it to at the very least been spotless since covid is still around. I asked for a new room but we were told they were at max capacity and would have someone clean the room and offered us a $100 food credit which the add a 20% gratuity and service charge on everything you order.

The main areas of the hotel were also gross. Elevators and all the buttons looked like they have never been cleaned. NYC subways are cleaned more often.

We complained to management and it was only after stating that I was going to write a poor review that they magically had occupancy for a junior suite.

The only redeeming quality was that the grounds of the hotel are very nice and the servers were attentive accommodating.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and if we ever come back to Miami we will be staying elsewhere.

My husband and I came for a quick weekend getaway for our dating anniversary (plus, it was just REALLY needed). We were a little hesitant about doing a weekend staycation in general, as it can be a challenge to find a safe place during these times of COVID-19. But boy are we glad we picked the Loews! Hand sanitizers at every corner, plexiglass at front desk check in, rooms were spotless and also had hand sanitizers. Housekeeping was limited to being upon request, which we actually preferred as an extra safety measure. At the pool it was not full where you felt uncomfortable, mornings were best. The beach was awesome and perfectly distanced and enjoyable. No matter where we were the service was excellent - Raul and Adi were in particular great, but even then the whole staff was amazing and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is seemingly very popular for conferences. Very pricey but friendly staff. The check in staff is tough to deal with. Restaurants at the location are not worth the price but location on Collins Avenue is ideal for exploring other restaurants. The hotel claims to have water activities, but there was no trace of it; apparently only from 9-10 am!! So wake up early! Rooms are average. Views from Oceanview rooms are good only if they’re closer to the ocean otherwise it’s a waste of money. Some claim to be oceanview but are looking straight at next door Tower. (See photos)! The seats at the pool area are difficult to get if one wants after 9 am. Ocean front seats on the beach are complimentary as per their advertising however umbrellas will set you back by $27 plus enormous taxes you pay in Florida. Overall decent place to stay in, but very pricey. I’d look elsewhere first.

The only water sports with restrictions of time is the banana boat ride. The other options are available while the beach service still open. Stayed at this hotel with several colleagues for a work trip for 4 nights. We were greeted promptly at arrival. Check in was slow but I think it was due more to the needs of the guests in front of me than a hotel issue. Check in staff was very friendly and patient. I had a partial ocean view which really faces the building next door and the roof of part of the hotel. I was informed of this at checkin but chose to accept it for the guaranteed balcony and because it was available for an earlier checkin. The room was spacious, clean and bright with comfortable beds and convenient space for working. The extra large towels are a nice touch and towels generally were plentiful. Ordered room service breakfast 3 mornings. It was prompt, hot and well prepared. Housekeeping was friendly, efficient and considerate. We rented a cabana in the adults only area one day and had excellent service all day from the wonderful Alex. She was very diligent and kind in making sure we had all we needed and that the area was only used by the guests who rented cabanas. The hotel bar was overrun most of the time due to the conference - not the hotel’s fault. Some service was better than others but it was always friendly. The location is perfect with easy access to the beach and restaurants and shops on Lincoln. We ate at Lure one evening and had no trouble getting a last minute seating. We enjoyed a lovely table outside and a variety of foods from the diverse menu. We left for the airport before 5 am and had assistance with our luggage and a car without delay. I expect to be back for the same conference next year and look forward to it!!

I was unable to book a complimentary photo shoot, although I emailed them for over a week prior to our arrival, and never received a response from photographer. I then requested assistance from Concierge who was able to get a session, same day, However, the photography company required payment as our party was too large, even though we had 4 rooms. I did not agree to that charge as it states complimentary. We ended up using an actual camera with a tripod and our family photo was great.

It did get crowded, but we were always able to find a spot. What I like is, the folks that work at the hotel walk you to a seat and set you up there. They seem to be very good about clearing out towels as people leave to make room for more people.
