Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This is a nice little downtown hotel if you're solo or on a budget. Most rooms have stained glass windows that have no outside views, but there are rooms that face the street across from the Fremont that view outside. I had one of those rooms (#380 on the third floor). I loved the room but keep in mind this is a budget hotel so amenities are basic. The room had a double bed, a fridge, 2 end tables and a small round table with 2 chairs. The TV is mounted directly onto the wall and there's a closet to hang clothes. The bathroom is also basic with a stand alone sink, a metal toiletry rack, toilet and bath/shower combo. It was very clean and attractive with the copper fixtures, and water was hot with great pressure. Everyone I encountered at the front desk and in the casino were friendly and nice. My only minor peeves were the mattress being too soft for my liking and the curtains weren't total blackout as a glow would fill the room at night with them closed. But it didn't disturb my sleep at all. If I stay downtown, i'd definitely stay here again. I'm adding pics that I hope are helpful.

Let me start by saying that at $29 a night, midweek, with zero resort fees, this place is a great deal! Just a few things I would "tweek". 1) Double bed too small for hubby and I, would recommend getting Queen beds. No 2 double beds available. 2) Put padding on bed pedestal base. Blends in with vinyl flooring. Both my husband and I tripped on it. Husband caught himself, I fell. See photos. Still deeply bruised 6 weeks later! Gouge on shin. 3) Put a shelf for soap and shampoo in tiny shower.
All these suggestions aside, the room was SPOTLESS and easily accessed from casino.

We are in Vegas at least 3 times a year and got a great deal for rooms here. It is just recently reopened in Binion’s Casino. It is the oldest hotel in Vegas. You can definitely tell when you get to the floors with hotel rooms. The rooms are small but when this place was built in the 30’s this was probably the norm. The bathrooms have all been totally redone and are very nice. The rooms are comfortable maybe a little noisy but nothing you probably can’t handle, you get some of the noise from the hustle and bustle on Fremont Street. The beds are super comfortable, in my opinion. It did the job and when we come back if they are offering the same type of deal I will most definitely look at staying here again! The only complaint I have is the hotel front desk area is small and at times understaffed. We attempting to retrieve our bags from the bellhops closet so we could get to the airport and there was a group of 10+checking in and the poor girl working the front desk was evidently new because she was having issues and took an exceptional amount of time. It appears the bellhop doesn’t work at night. This is the only reason this wasn’t a 5 star visit for us. I say give this place a try.

We stayed here the weekend of June 11-14, 2021, had two (adjoining) rooms. The rooms were very small but clean. The problems we encountered were with the front desk staff. We had a very early flight on Monday so on Sunday evening we inquired at the front desk as to getting a cab early the next morning, the male clerk assured us someone would be at the desk front desk and they would simply push a button to hail us a cab.Imagine our surprise on Monday morning when we went to the front desk and no one was there, there was a note to call the Four Queens front desk. We called the Four Queens and the person who answered was quite rude and actually hung up on us. We called back and asked what we should do about getting a cab and she said we were on our own, maybe stand outside on the street and see if one comes by. So at that point we literally ran to the Golden Nugget valet area and they were fully staffed and hailed us a cab immediately.

Not the fanciest, and not the nicest, but a very solid option staying downtown. Our room was $49 for the night ($55 with taxes) and the nice thing is the Apache does not charge a resort fee. This is a very nice fact given most places in Vegas now charge upwards of a $40 per night “resort” fee. The room was very basic as was the bathroom. The bathroom was smaller but everything in the room was in order and clean. I was a bit concerned about the idea of being able to sleep with the lights and sounds of Freemont Street. I slept fine with no complaints. Overall I give the Apache a 4 out of 5 stars for location and value. I would stay here again in the future.

Booked this location as it was the cheapest place Downtown on a Saturday night - usually stay at Four Queens or The Grand. Room on second floor was perfectly basic and nostalgic. Radio, Fridge and phone all looked like 60s or 70s. It was clean, shower worked and bed was comfortable. Might start staying here instead of the Four Queens which I learned is a sister property.

I like the vintage feel to it, check in was small and uncrowded, 1 elevator and 3 floors, LOVE smaller hotels, room was quick and easy to get to, surprisingly quiet for being Fremont, but very small, which is fine for me, I just use it to sleep and shower. The only thing that really bothered me was the bathroom was so small and there is no counterspace, nowhere to put you toiletries and the room I was in I had to put my towels in the sink to have them when I got out of the shower, cute little bathroom but if youre expecting a ton of space to work in then dont get the room I had (370). Shower had really good pressure and lots of hot water. Again if you are expecting luxury stay somewhere else, I liked it, it was clean and quiet and I did not see or hear a single person the 3 days I was there.

The room was on the smaller side, but for the price it was perfect for what I was looking for.
The rooms facing Fremont street are not just “loud” but unbelievably uninhabitable. You can literally feel the the walls, bed and fixtures shaking from the bass coming off the speakers on Fremont street at all hours. Prepare to get no sleep if your room is in this situation.

Small room but 90% of the time you won’t even be at the room. You will be casino or walking around cheapest hotel for a Saturday night booked few months ahead for 90$ usd. Weekday rate is 30$ they don’t really have super cheap deals on food. You get a players card and get a free shirt and a slot spin once you get 50 pts or about playing 100 worth in slots

Sound experience, we went for the Benny bunion vip haunt experience. The penthouse is very well hidden and gives you a feel of that vintage Vegas luxury and that sense of truly being well preserved in time. Now this room is suggested to be haunted, but we found no such evidence or have any experience. The room itself is cleaner than competitors and the service provided was exceptional.

Nope...no incidental fee...free to park...right now (June 2020) the only place on the strip w/no dreaded fees is the Rivera...but in old downtown Apache has never played those games...more $ to gamble with!
I parked my Harley there overnite March 2020 no prob...they have cameras & a security guard...nobody messed w/it...park lot might be tight for manuvering a 15 passanger van
