This is a basic no frills hotel, nominally 3 stars but very clean and staff who are friendly and happy to help. However our stay was marred with a faulty safe that was a pain as we asked on numerous occasions, eventually worked but then couldn't open it back up, panic stations. We got 2 visits by maintenance staff in total 3 staff, all unsuccessful and eventually safe was removed from room with no replacement. Most inconvenient. Bed only had sheet and cover, no duvet that was unusual. Room was a bit strange as didn't have any bedside lamps. We had breakfast once, continental with plenty of choice. Overall the staff made the stay better.

Great location with good connections. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, not very spacious, relatively clean bathroom. Air-condition worked perfectly. They cleaned the room every day. Good variety of food for breakfast. Overall you get what you pay for.

My sister and I stayed Hotel Regio from April 10th-April 14th for our first time traveling internationally. For the most part we didn't have any issues with the room. It is small but it wasn't an issue since we weren't in the room all that much except to sleep. The bathroom had no standing shower, just a handheld shower head, so we ended up just taking baths every night, which for us was fine because we had walked so much everyday that the bath felt good to soak our tired feet and muscles. The pillows were very flat but when we doubled them up it was fine. We stayed on the road side of hotel and had to sleep with the window open because our room was very warm, and the buses and trash trucks made a lot of noise late into the night which did make our sleeping difficult. That was our only real complaint of the room was the noise outside during the night. Other than that, we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, the staff was friendly and spoke good english, it was very close to the termini station, and we could walk pretty much anywhere else. We felt safe in this location, and the restaurant across the street ended up being one of our favorites! Would recommend if looking for a hotel on a budget.

We were booked into Hotel Regio from 23 until 26 December. This was our last stop for the Italy tour over Christmas.

On Christmas Eve the staff including the manger was so rude, and spoiled the Christmas Eve for the group while we were having dinner with new friends.

The reason for having dinner in the hotel lobby was due to the fact that the hotel doesn’t have any room service or a in house dinning area.

We took a few chairs from the breakfast room and were intended to place them back, but before we could say Merry Christmas and get into the festive spirit the reception was very unhappy and made sure that the joy of Christmas was broken.

To make it worse after we did what she commanded, everybody was trying to forget and just have a lovely evening, she stormed into the lounge area, again, to complain about a review that was send.
She was disrespectful, unprofessional and oblivious to the fact that it’s Christmas and ruined our evening. (Note we pay 4 Euro per night city tax on top off the reservation)

Will not recommend the hotel for anybody no matter the budget.
Our rooms have air conditioning problems, non working tool heater, no hot water in the rooms that were booked.

The Hotel made sure we will not forget our Italian Christmas abroad!

Our first impression of the hotel was spoiled by the young girl at reception desk. She spoke to us in a very rude and unfriendly manner. We booked a triple room but she gave us a small double room. The next day the other staff of reception helped us to change the room. Then we were able to find out that the reason for such disgusting behavior of that girl was that we were from Azerbaijan. Because she was armenian. It is not acceptable to express national dislike at work!!!!!!
In general, the hotel corresponds to 3 stars. The main advantage of this hotel is its close location to Termini. Room cleaning was also disgusting as the behavior of that girl at reception desk.

I got a smelly and tiny room (4x9f). I did not get what I booked, but whatever they had available I'm my arrival. They were no serious. I paid for nothing. The pillowscase were ripped, my bed was sinking and smelly, I placed my T-shirt to sleep a lot but because it was a disgusting bed. I got a rush on my neck. Despite bringing my concerns about the mismatch between what I booked and what they provided, no action was taken. I do not recommend this location for a dolor travel, nor family nor couples.

I went to this Hotel thinking what will it be like as they did not have their own website and you had to get information about the hotel from hotel booking website search engines instead and look at the rooms etc, but there was no need to worry, it was great from start to finish, the room was great, comfy beds, TV in the room, complimentary drinks in the mini fridge, the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly especially when we arrived and our room was not ready as we were too early, the man at reception offered to put our luggage away for us and asked if we would like to go explore the city for about half an hour until the room was ready or if we would like to wait in the hotel lounge area, we chose the lounge area as we just wanted to drop our bags off in the room first and then set off to explore the city afterwards. I would really recommend anyone to stay here, it is about 5 mins walk from Termini Station and is very central to where you need to go, it made our stay in Rome very enjoyable for our first visit to Rome, Italy.

Breakfast is continental and you get a good choice of drinks along with cereal, bread, cheese, Croissants, it was very very nice indeed. Can't wait to go again and would choose this hotel again. :)

Very disappointed with the hotel. The staff were excellent, very courteous and obliging but the rooms were rather cramped and dark. In the end we moved to a triple room with a balcony. The public room was a dingy bar, otherwise there was nowhere to relax.Breakfast room adequate only.

The hotel looks nice in the foyer however tiny rooms which isn't such a problem if they are clean... These rooms were not clean! The blankets had stains, bits of food and lots of disgusting black hairs! these hairs were also on the floor so not sure they even vacuum. The beds were two uncomfortable singles pushed together that split apart when u tried to hug. There was no shower just a little bath with a shower hose. No wifi either. Breakfast was the only ok part! We stayed in hotel Opera the night before for $108AU and had a much better experience! Avoid Hotel Regio!

Yes this hotel has a hairdryer but I would not recommend this place to anyone. The foyer looks great but the rooms and breakfast are dismal.

I took the metro system from the airport.. If you use the system in London, you can also travel the same way in Rome.. I also used the Hop on/Hop off bus and metro to visit the sites..
