Wow, so glad we discovered this neighborhood gem. Cheese does seem to be a component of many dishes here. We started with a 4 cheese plate and a bottle of red wine recommended by our waiter, Fabian. The relatively inexpensive wine was impressive and satisfying. Rob had the octopus entree and I chose the aged beef filet with a Bleu d' auverne sauce that was incredible. The blue cheese did not overpower and was delicate, almost floral. We were enjoying the atmosphere, music and attentive service so much we decided to stay for dessert, a delicious toffee cheesecake with a beautiful dessert wine recommended by Fabian. We were pleasantly surprised that our bill seemed a great value for the above ordinary experience we had. Can't recommend this place enough. Fantastic!

We had read some good reviews before deciding to visit here & I am so glad we did! We were welcomed with a big smile from Fabian - who explained that they only had Spanish menus (our Spanish is rusty at best!) but that he would help us choose some things we liked!
Firstly the wine, I was able to try a few before deciding on a really nice and very reasonably priced bottle. Then came the food … WOW! The restaurant is themed around cheese but ordered and delivered in Spanish Tapas style. Everything we ate tasted beautiful - it was such a great experience & we loved every minute!
It made our anniversary!
Thank you to Fabian and the amazing team!
If you’re ever in Barcelona this is a must visit

An amazing place to go for a new experience in Spain, all dishes have cheese and also highly standars for Chesseboard with lots of differents types and if your don’t sure what kind of cheese to have the sommelier could do the selection for you and your tastes and to complete that amazing time the offer you original coctels with a little twist of cheese, YES! Coctels with cheese.
Defo a place to have an incredible experience with the lovely staff and nice atmosphere.

We visited for a family dinner. The booking was easy. When we arrived we were sat at the table, the interior looked very average but ok.
There was a choice of only 3 wines by the glass, but that is also ok.
We ordered the burrata salad, the coca bread, the fish, the cheese board and the octopus. The food was below average. It wasn’t even Spanish or Catalan, it tasted like a British interpretation of Spanish food in a sub-par ‘I’m trying to be Spanish’ restaurant in the U.K. - made out of poor quality ingredients because proper Spanish ingredients are hardly available/ too expensive in the U.K.
But the point is- this restaurant is in the centre of Barcelona!
For example the burrata was drenched in vinegar and surrounded but a few sad salty leaves.
The coca bread had a stain of tomato sauce from Mercadona ( from jar) not home made, NOT full of flavour.
Although usually I’m mainly focused on the quality of food and ignore the service, for the price they charge the service was really poor. We sat with dirty plates which we had even stacked up to really make a point, and with empty glasses for more then 20 minutes and there was not a single member of staff in sight. For the prices they charge, it should not be happening.
Overall, out of the myriad delicious, amazing, beautiful restaurants in Barcelona this one is an embarrassment. To be avoided.

Carlos our Cheese Sommelier was fantastic in spending time with us and recommending four outstanding cheeses for the charcuterie board we ordered and paired with wine. Carlos and our server both spoke fluent English and made us feel at home. Restaurant ambience was nice inside or outside. If you love cheese you have to go!

Me, my partner and his parents went here for dinner by chance and throughly enjoyed ourselves! Amazing food, great wine and good service. We thought it was very reasonably priced for the quality of the food (and wine) we had. The star dish was the baby new potatoes with Gorgonzola, as well as the broccolini with garlic confit. If you love cheese, this is well worth a visit.

My husband and I were visiting Barcelona and had the most wonderful time at this restaurant. We sat outside and enjoyed a bottle of wine, a cheese board, burrata with tomatoes (off menu item as the manager had shopped at
the local market that morning and found gorgeous tomatoes), octopus, pasta and cheesecake. The food was wonderful and the service, from the new manager, was exceptional.

Wonderful experience in Barcelona center. We had Spanish style tapas that are exceptionally presented and served with style, like the pork tenderloin and duck. All washed down with a local red wine recommended by the manager. It’s definitely on our list of places to return

Great food.
The two of us had 4 starters and shared one main dish. Beef was tender and high quality, the wine menu was getting changed, but we got good help to pick a great red wine. Recommend this place

Absolutely 100% recommend Quesarium. They accommodated our party of 13 with great service, great food. The manager recommended several dishes for us and they were spot on for sharing. The special was a pork belly that was fantastic and the cheese platter had something for everyone. We had a few vegetarians and the eggplant chips were a big hit for that crowd. The bartender, Paulo, truly took the time to get to know our group and each drink was a unique experience. The manager gave us recommendations for our visit and truly made the evening special. We will definitely return.

Definitely one of the best restaurants we’ve ever eaten at. The food was incredible - it wasn’t a massive in your face cheesefest. Rather a really complex menu with different cheeses woven into every dish. So we’ll executed and absolutely delicious.
The staff were great, couldn’t do enough to help but really respected your privacy. We wanted cocktails that weren’t on the menu and the barman happily knocked one up for us on the spot (which tasted as great as the food).
It’s a little off the beaten path of the Rambla, so we’ll worth hunting out!

New Years Eve was rough. We booked here because of very strong reviews, but it did not live up to those reviews. Maybe because of the holiday, but over the course of two hours service was slow, many plates of the fixed menu went to wrong tables or didn't come out to various tables at all, wine and water was never refilled, and once the lounge singer started around 23:00, the volume was such that we couldn't have a conversation at our table. The food we got was very good - I would like to try again when the staff did not seem overwhelmed.

First of all, thank you for your recent visit and once again, my sincere apologies. I can not remember if I had the chance to personally apology to you on NYE, but obviously I am taking this opportunity to do it now.
I am completely agree on your feedback and still trying to recover from it.
As you might not being aware, we actually had a first part of the evening where everything was perfectly executed such as the food delivery, table service speed of the whole service (I even had the feeling we were going to fast...) but around 21.30h 3.4 very large tables arrived almost at the same time and all these tables were very challenging. All these seats were occupied by "particular" customers (let's call it that way...) who mentioned to me for the FIRST TIME!!, a long list of food restrictions (allergies, dishes which they do not like it, children menus etc...). This information always need to be communicated in advance to be able to have ready the different alternatives. This info was correctly passed to me on another 3 tables where no major issues happened to them. Of course this affected us very badly and above all to the kitchen and broke all our organization and plans for the rest of the evening. Even if I tried my very best (trust me!) to solve the issues as quickly as possible, having almost 80 customers, it was just impossible and this made the service very slow and made your dining experience not as you were expecting neither me!
As yourself mentioned and many others customers too, the quality of the food was fantastic, but you and me, clearly know a restaurant is not only food, is food and service.
Once again Anthony, I am so sorry and please give us a second opportunity, as I am pretty confident you will then be responsible to give us a 5 stars review this time! Happy new year and we are looking forward to welcoming you back on another visit to Barcelona.

We were in Barcelona a few days ago and this restaurant was our absolute favorite. It was our 30th anniversary and the owner/manager was so impressive. He gave us suggestions for dinner and wines…it could not have been more perfect, delicious, and romantic seated at our little sidewalk table. Located away from the crazy tourist areas.

Faultless. Amazing staff, attention to detail and a culinary triumph. We were astounded at the quality of food and felt as though we had struck gold at every stage of the evening. The wine, atmosphere and food worked in unison and we were blown away with each mouthful. Worth every penny, book ahead and enjoy Barcelonas best kept secret :)
