It is clean and comfort hotel in the centre of Barcelona, right in the middle of Gran Via. My room (401) was fairly compact but cosy. The bathroom was the same size as the room. Room facilities: minibar, TV with a set of Spanish channels, window (goes into the inner courtyard), air conditioning, desk, closet, telephone. Breakfast (served on the 1st floor) was OK for a big city and "three stars" hotel, a standard set of cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt and juice. The Internet was free of charge and connection speed was good. Wi-Fi password is issued along with a key to the room. The location is very convenient for walking: on the left, the station Urgell is just in a few metres. If you go to the right, the nearest station is Universitat. Plaza Espanya is very close.
I almost liked it all. The only thing I would change is check-in and check-out times: on the arrival, I had to wait for my room for an hour (I arrived at 1 p.m.). I like to check in early.

Stayed here a Thurs and Friday night. big time construction. Banging started at 8:00 am sharp, I complained and asked for a discount. Didn't even get a free breakfast. I was really upset and asked to change to another room. I was told the next day was Sat. so there wouldn't be any noise. Location is ok not great. Rooms are nice and the place was clean. BUT THE NOISE RUINED IT.

Stayed Saturday 25th September. Single room was claustrophobic and at the rear with noise from kitchens. Air conditioning off or freeze. Bathroom good. Bed hard as nails. Breakfast good and small dining area had good ambience. Staff helpful. Good location by University as just far enough away from the main placa where end of Forum celebrations/concerts took place so away from noise. Wouldnt stay there again if had to have a single room. Otherwise fine.

Arrived late. Great greeting from reception staff. Lovely room on 5th floor with a terrace and a distant view of Gaudi’s masterpiece the Sagrada Familia.

Good size room with comfortable bed.
Bathroom a bit dated but everything worked perfectly. Very well cleaned accommodation.

Great selection at breakfast.

Barcelona a is a walking city and the hotel is ideally situated to explore the city.
Are the airport bus and the hotel is just 3 stops away at a mere €5.90 each way or a reduced price return.
Super staff and a very comfortable stay.

Just come back today from a weekend break
Barcelona itself what a gorgeous city definitely recommend a city break here, this hotel is just off the Main Street our room was at the back so no noise at night, the road side would experience noise but it’s not on the main shopping street.
Taxis all good, walking you can walk for miles a must go down to the beach. Restaurants all reasonable priced, lovely people at the hotel and outside.
Hotel staff very helpful no issues, breakfast all good lots of choice, rooms very clean and spacious
Only negative we had a shower in the bath and it wasn’t great to use but just for the weekend got by with it, also you only get one pillow but that’s just preference.
Air conditioning works well, didn’t hear any building noise, yes you will get traffic it’s Barcelona no difference from a hotel in London it’s going to be busy and noisy, but as I said our room 603 looked over the back of the hotel didn’t hear anything at night, always so tired anyway from walking 7 miles a day sightseeing all day.

This hotel was magnificent. The staff( I had the pleasure to meet the best three receptions) , were awesome, Jordi,Alex,Vicente. Excellent location, I felt safe. A good place to stay. Everything little thing that u need is within walking distance. Ahhh, a very important thing, get the Aerobús from the airport , is only €5.90 and it will leave u half a block away from the hotel, by the University Park. I really love this city. Until next time

We stayed in room 204 with 2 single confortable beds ,white clean sheets. The whole room is well renovated and the bath room is modern and extra clean. Hotel breakfast is a delight with choices for every taste from bread, eggs, bacon, viennoiseries, home made cake , delicatessen, fruit and yogurt. Though we don't see other rooms, the hotel is a confortable place to stay and right in the center of Barcelona with easy access to public transportation to visit any historic sites of Barcelona and its beaches. An economical multi pass of 10 trips(10€ ) can be used by many persons for travelling in bus or metro. From ElPrat Barcelona Airport , A1 aerobus (6€) take you to the hotel (3rd stop at place Universitas) on Grand Via Corts. We did enjoy visiting Barcelona for its numerous historic sites and food specially tapas (Cerveceria Ciudad Condal is the best for quality, freshness of sea food, choice and reasonable price; it's on Rambla de catalunya 18), 20minutes walk from the Catelonian Hotel.)
Barcelona is dynamic town . We recommand the Hotel for nice staff, confortable and clean room and reasonable considering its convenient site in center of the town.

It was a very good hotel, located at the centre of the city and very close to transportation (metro, bus to and from the airport). The staff was very polite and the people at the reception were very hepfull (especially the morning staff) providing information about everything. Finally, the quality of the breakfast was great and the romm was beautiful, clean and tide.

An excellent place to stay for tourists. The hotel is on Gran Via deles Corts Catalanes, about two blocks from one of the stops on the bus that takes you from the airport to downtown Barcelona. And it is a short walk from Placa de Catalunya, where you can start and end hop-on, hop-off bus tours and start your stroll of La Rambla. The staff was friendly and helpful, even assisting us in arranging to see a flamenco performance. The buffet breakfasts that were part of our package were a good way to start the day. The buffet was in an elegant well-appointed room, complete with linen tablecloths. Our only complaint: The scrambled eggs were cold, even when we were the first to arrive for breakfast. It was easy to hail taxis just outside the hotel, which is also convenient to the Sants railway station as well as the subway and buses.

Hi, I don't remember an iron in the room, but they can probably supply one. They do have a laundry service. As Yas46 suggested why not give them a ring, they all seemed to speak good English +34 93 453 02 00.
