This was a truly unique dining experience and so much more. Our guide Juliana accompanied us to the one of a kind villa in old town where we met our husband and wife chefs, who had prepared an exquisite & authentic Catalan charcuterie selection to start, followed by a delicious home cooked meal. The wine was delicious, and the cuisine was impeccable all night. Aside from the food, the highlights we’ll remember will be getting to know the home, the deep history, and the great conversation. Of our week in Barcelona, this was easily the dining highlight of our vacation. Can’t thank Juliana and our hosts enough!

Julianna - Wow, what an informed, easy going, historian and host for guests of Barcelona and it’s incredible history. The tour was the best I have been on and very personalized, never boring, with historical and current unique pieces to tie it all together. Great walk through the Gothic Quarter, nice off tourist stops at shops, ending at the water front. Perfect glide through the city ending in great meal and sangria.

Loved this tour! Juliana was the perfect guide and host; welcoming, full of knowledge and dynamic. I learned so much during our walk. It was great that she pointed out some smaller details we would never have seen or known where to look and she gave historic background to all questions asked. Impressive! Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Julia (email says Joules) was a great guide. She was informative and friendly. The tour went past several major landmarks but also several lesser known spots in the Gothic Quarter. The tour concluded with tapas and sangria (and the group just split the bill for that extra cost).

The tour was full of stories and small details that you can only find with Volarte, it is a personal experience that connects you with Barcelona and its magic. It is a private tour from which you will surely learn a lot and will help you see Barcelona from another perspective. My wife and I enjoyed the Tour of the Gothic Quarter with Juliana so much that we booked a second tour with her that same day! The Gaudí Modernisme and Spanish Wine tour was spectacular! Besides the amazing architecture we got to admire, Juliana gives you the in-depth history of every masterpiece. Without her you’re simply looking at buildings. However, Juliana combines her experience with knowledge of Barcelona to deliver a truly unforgettable experience. We were in Barcelona for a few days and then took a tour with Juliana. We learned so much on her walking tour of the Gothic District that we plan on booking her again during outlet stay. What you 'll learn is the history of Barcelona from 2200 years ago to modern day Barcelona, including the modern day political situation. From Roman ti.es to the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in1492 We learned so much. If you love history and truly want to learn about this amazing city you must spend an afternoon or morning with Juliana She is amazing, passionate and so knowledgeable. This was our second tour with Juliana. We had previously done her Gothic Tour Secrets and Sangria earlier in the week. Both tours were fabulous! We were shown so many beautiful Gaudi homes, and learned all about the history of each one. We also enjoyed our visit and glass of wine at El Nacional so much that we return later that evening for dinner. Juliana really knows her stuff, and I would highly recommend her tours! BONUS....We met a really nice couple from the UK whom we had the pleasure of meeting up with again later in the week for drinks and great conversation.

Juliana amazed us yet again with this wonderful informative tour. The beautiful buildings with all their history’s explained were breathtaking. The contrast of different art designs throughout the tour was so interesting. We thought that we had seen most of Barcelona’s main areas but how wrong we were ! Juliana took us to places we would have never found! Can’t recommend her tours enough 🤗 and the glass of vino was a pleasant treat too !

My niece and I were thrilled to have this tour in our itinerary on a recent visit to Barcelona and it exceeded what we were hoping for. Both the captain and Sommelier were very personable. The wine and tapas pairings were excellent. We enjoyed learning a little about local wine and food and just relaxing on the water. A visit we will never forget!

Juliana provided an outstanding overview of the section of Barcelona known as the Gothic Quarter. She offered historical and cultural insights that were extremely interesting and route through the quarter that covered well known and less known sights. I highly recommend this tour!

This was a fantastic activity. Juliana got in touch with me before the tour to confirm, and stayed in touch until we met up. We went to the wrong location initially, and she was very patient and understanding. The tour itself is exactly as described, and it's amazing. You get on a private sailboat with just a few other people, and you go out for about an hour and watch the sun set over Barcelona, which is beautiful. (You can help them sail if you want to, but no one in our group wanted to!) Then you go back to harbor and dock, and they bring out different wines, and the sommelier explains how to taste wines, and then they bring out food to pair with it. He was also great, and you could tell how excited he was about wine, and how excited to share his passion with everyone else. The small-group aspect is really nice. You get a chance to get to know people a little bit. One note: we were there in early May and it was COLD. You're on the water and there's wind, so dress warmer than you think you have to! They do different wines every time, so I would absolutely do this tour again next time I'm in Barcelona. Highly, highly recommend.
