About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- janetvN1645EM0 contributionsWonderfulOur guide, Cristian Garcia was amazing! We had a few transportation issues and he managed all of them with ease and never appeared stressed. With the delays, he asked if we wanted to extend our timeframe, even though it was his son’s birthday. Great day, great experience, great guide!!Written July 21, 2024
- 356vk0 contributionsWonderful Tour of SalzburgWe arrived at the Radius Tours Office at 9 am (Dachauer Straße 4) and met up with our group. Our guide Mark (German) was joyous and energetic. We reached Salzburg around 12 pm, and then took a bus to the old town. He gave us an informative tour of Salzburg’s Old Town, sprinkled with little funny tidbits about the city. Mark gave us many options to choose from when we were given free time (~ 2hrs) to explore the city. We chose to explore the Fortress Hohensalzburg on top of the nearby mountain. It was around 200 steps to the very top of the castle. It was worth it though, with a panoramic view of the city and the Alps in the distance. We boarded the train back around 5 pm and it reached the station around 7 pm. Overall, it was a great tour, definitely worth the price and would recommend to anyone who has a free day while in Munich.Written July 20, 2024
- RC79260 contributionsA Day out to Salzburg - A nice side trip to Austria from MunichIt was an excellent experience. You first go to the Radius Tours office to make yourself known. Our tour guide was Lucia. You then make yourself down to the train station to Salzburg. Lucia was lively and funny. You’ll have a fun time if she is your tour guide. We had a great time in Salzburg. You get a 1.5 hours walking tour around town then you’re allowed to roam freely for 3 hours. We visited Mozart’s house and tried the famous Sacher Torte from the Sacher Hotel. A must try. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was a nice side trip to Austria from Munich.Written July 20, 2024
- Kathryn A0 contributionsExcellent Salzburg day tripMark was an excellent tour guide on our day trip to Salzburg. He made sure the group travelled safely in the “pack” from the train and bus. He explained things well and was so delightful. We were traveling with two teenagers, who absolutely loved it as well. Great trip!Written July 20, 2024
- jandbr0 contributionsInformativeSuper informative tour that was made better by Josh's passion for the topic. It was a crazy hot day and Josh was very intentional about adjusting to find shady spots to share his knowledge and ensure people were not getting overheated.Written July 20, 2024
- sara m0 contributionsLong day beautiful country/castleOur tour guide was wonderful. It is a big hike up to the castle if you’re out of shape. It’s very pretty and the tour is well organized. The inside is eh, ok. Nothing spectacular and no pictures allowed. It’s worth doing though.Written July 20, 2024

He was filled with amazing facts and backgrounders on the individuals behinds and the places where they wove the web of evil. I would highly recommend this tour especially if it’s lead by someone like Nic.Written July 19, 2024

We enjoyed the tour and the amount of beer included in the price. We were a bit disappointed by the quality of food served for dinner. We did receive a great review about beer and its history in Munich and enjoyed the museum experience.Written July 19, 2024

Brilliant, Achim was extremely knowledgeable. Gave us a different real sense of the background and political drive behind the movement in WW2 stemming back to WW1. I have always been intrigued with the wars, I now have a much better understanding. Thanks Dean & Karina, South Australia.

We did the full day WWII tour, including Dachau and Third Reich. We were with Nick in the morning, then Josh in the afternoon. Both were incredible guides - we learned a ton and had a great day despite the weather! Check in with Radius Tours was easy and in a convenient location (near the central train station). Highly recommend this tour with either Nick or Josh!

The subject matter is very sobering. However, Sam, our guide, was a treasure trove of knowledge regarding Dachau and the rise of Nazism in the last century. He did not gloss over anything, but did not let the subject become overwhelming.
Highly recommended!

Excellent Tour! On this combi Tour I had two tours. My tour guide in the morning, a Spanish lady Lucia took us to Dachau. She was amazing! She was kind and knowledgeable and put the horrific events that took place there in historic and social context. In the afternoon I had Josh, a native german. He took us around the Nazi party historic landmarks. The party started in Munich and many of the keys places where key events took place are in Munich. He again put things in perspective, from a German view point. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the facts. Josh made sure not to glorifiy these people. He used the tour as an important warning. I would highly recommend this tour!

Jake covered lots of ground and information. He is clearly passionate about this history. Be prepared for lots of walking. Only disappointment was the overlap in information between the two tours. Would certainly recommend the dachau portion of the tour.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a positive review. Yes there is always going to be a little over lap between the two tours given the subject matter but we are glad you found value in the experience all the same .

They did not ask us for a certificate. I hate to say no as times may have changed, best bet would be to email them and ask what current requirements are.

Just a fellow tourist speaking, so I am not sure on the tour dates, however there is no specific dress code that I am aware of, mostly just dress for the weather (i.e. it was hot on our tour so we wore shorts and a t-shirt/tank top) and bring water bottles since July is typically hot.

I booked this tour through TRIP ADVISOR.
Just google it and check availability through them.
Hi, I am going later this month, it states food and drink are excluded, but are there areas for people to buy/eat during this tour or should people bring a small amount with them since the tour lasts most of the day?
Thanks.

The tour is actually divided into two parts with a comfortable break for lunch. It starts from the main train station in Munich, where there's no dearth of places to buy food from (one can either eat there or pick up food to go). The journey to Dachau is by train and then then a short bus ride, and there are lots of places to quickly pick up something. Further, at the entrance to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, there's a cafe. On completion of the tour to this site the tour returns by the same route to the start point (Munich train station - Hauptbahnoff) for the lunch break and the walking tour once again starts from there, leading one through the city. So, in essence, food is just not a problem!

I'll be going late July with my children. I have a few questions. Are children allowed to go? Where do you meet first? Is there a translator? I'm sorry to bother anyone.

Children below 16 years of age are not permitted to visit the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site.
One can select the language of the tour - if I am not wrong, tours are offered in English, German and Spanish at least, and I am sure there would be other languages as well. Best to check with the tour operator as there may be specific days or a limitation of a minimum group size or something.
