Alun did an amazing job creating an organized, efficient and interesting tour of Dachau. We left the Munich station and headed towards the concentration camp site. He kept us informed the entire way. It was so easy. We did not have to worry about train tickets or bus tickets. Once we got to the camp, he explained how Germany ended up electing Adolf Hitler. He gave us lots of interesting facts about Dachau. We walked around the entire camp for about two hours. I had been there before so it was so much better having Alun with us. I learned a lot more! The last hour of the tour you spend going through the museum and the barracks on your own. I would highly recommend his tour! I believe he has several other tours to choose from and I wouldn’t hesitate to go on any tour with him at any point during your vacation! He is outstanding!

Alun was a very professional and knowledgeable guide for such a delicate and solemn subject. We could tell he puts thought in presenting the information in a respectful way. He helped the group understand the history that led up to Dachau and in the second part of our tour in Munich, took us to notable locations that had an impact in the history surrounding the rise of the Third Reich. We appreciated having a guide who knew the ins and outs of transportation to and from Munich to Dachau and he kept the group informed of how we were getting there and what to do when we arrived. Having Alun put the Dachau Memorial in perspective versus just reading the placards was more impactful than doing it on our own. We also appreciated that Alun keeps the groups small so there's time for one on one interaction and questions. Between the morning trip to Dachau and the walking tour in the afternoon, there was time for our family to have a lunch break, which we greatly appreciated. We took our teenagers age 16 & 13, and they also felt the tour was well done. Seeing this part of world history was important to share with them.

Alun is not just knowledgeable of World War II and the atrocities at Dachau concentration camp. He is very respectful and considerate in sharing what life was like for the people imprisoned and murdered there. We had time to go through the Dachau museum on our own. We returned to Munich center for the Third Reich tour in the afternoon. Alun took us to all the buildings that played a key part in the rising of the Nazi party. He had a photo book with images of events and people. Alun met us on time at Marienplatz in the morning, he had pre purchased tickets for the train/bus ride for our small group of approx. 14 people. We returned to Marienplatz for our lunch break before continuing with the afternoon tour. Alun is very professional, hence 5 stars. Highly recommend doing both tours.

If you are going to pick a tour of Dachau and Munich, make sure it is with Alun. This experience was excellent. One that my wife talks about to everyone we see. We did both tours with Alun; Dachau and Third Reich Day Tour. Alun was a true host. He meet the group early and had everything planned for us. There wasn’t a hiccup the whole time. He guided the group from Munich to Dachau and back with ease (via tube and bus). While at Dachau, Alun guided us from start to finish and even gave us sometime to walk the Dachau museum and book shop. His knowledge was second to none, and it was as if we were living the experience with him. Once back in Munich, Alun gave us a lunch break and some food suggestions we will never forget. After lunch, Alun was were he said to meet him and ready to go again. We walked the streets of Munich, learning how the Third Reich came to power. Seeing all the important sites that played a key roll in history. We were even lucky enough to haver Alun to ourselves as no one booked the second part of the tour. It was as though a friend was giving you a tour of his city. Again, he was extremely knowledgeable and even had a binder with images of key events and people. Making sure you understood the full store. You could not pick a better tour. With that, we want to thank Alun for an incredible day and will forever remember our time in Munich because of him.
