We had a few transportation issues and he managed all of them with ease and never appeared stressed. With the delays, he asked if we wanted to extend our timeframe, even though it was his son’s birthday. It’s very pretty and the tour is well organized. The inside is eh, ok. Nothing spectacular and no pictures allowed. He had a very cheerful and welcoming personality yet was able to deliver the information appropriately. The length of the tour was perfect to see all the elements of the camp. I would definitely recommend this tour as although the camp itself has lots of information boards/signs having the guide made it so much more immersive as he had his own binder of extra information. Unlike every other tour of historic buildings we were not allowed to take pictures. Did they want to sell more postcards and books? Guide did a nice job managing a difficult 10 hour trip. Sam was a very good guide and was able to give us a lot of information about the events in Munich/Germany at the time the camp was opened and the historical details about the people who came to the camp, the town, and the Officers involved in camp administration. Sam was very respectful of the site and what occurred here. We learned so much from Sam and this tour. I would highly recommend him guide and this tour!

The beer was outstanding, and Rich, our guide, encouraged us to eat the "pig knuckle", which we would not have otherwise ordered, and was excellent. Rich was organized, knowledgeable, engaging, and a lot of fun. He even gave us recommendations of restaurants and beer gardens to visit. Our only regret was that we wish we would have had MORE time with him in this beautiful city.
