Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A cool place with nice boat rides across the lake. Also a nice place to spend some time on the dry winter of the region. I really like that place!

Another masterpiece of Oscar Niemeyer. The cathedral is stunning, both from outside and inside. Definitely worth a visit for all architecture lovers.

A bit outside the normal tourist attractions, this church is a real gem. The windows are one of the most impressive I have ever seen, beautiful color and design, it gives the church a mystic touch. Highly recommended to visit.

Memorial really well structured and kept, lots of history behind JK’s life, career, accomplishments, and family. Great place to learn about one of Brazil most impactful presidents.

You can go and make a barbecue on the special area for this. You take your bike and ride or just run if you like, and after the exercise stop by and have a beer. There is a kart ring where you can compete. There are many enternaing options at the park.

They offer a guided tour to the congress which is interesting. Please note that is offered in Portuguese only, but even if you dont speak the language you happen to see some interesting parts of the congress.

Nice cultural center with various exhibitions. Some of them are interesting. Also some nice gardens to walk with some pavilion also with exhibitions. Some restaurants and bars to have a drink. Worth a visit when in the area.

  • Whenever I go to a city with an accessible TV tower I always try and go up. These bastions of the white heat of technology across the world are largely redundant these days but serve as a great way to see a city.

They can also be a bit grotty with the view being the only good thing - think expensive drinks or tacky gifts

What a revelation to fond a reasonably priced, clean and stylish restaurant up in the TV Tower in Brasilia. Offering a wonderful view up the Monumental Axis, with Congress in the far distance.

You can’t get any higher than this up the tower (which may not be a bad thing as it looks a bit rickety and exposed!)

Great staff, an amazing view and a great pitstop as you explore

This palace by Oscar Niemeyer establishes a mirror dialogue between classical and modern architecture. The landscape that surrounds it, designed by Roberto Burle-Marx, is marvelous.

The resort where we stayed is on the Lake which provides lovely views, especially the sun sets.
There are plenty of sailing yachts and boats on the lake. It is man made and there are areas that have ‘artificial’ sandy beaches. It is about 48 kilometres in length and has a maximum depth of 38 metres.

There is plenty of wildlife to see such as Herons, Egrets,Kingfishers, Falcons, and Capybaras.

There are 3 bridges that cross this huge lake the most notable is the JK ( Juscelino Kubitschek) Bridge built in 2002.

The highlight of any visit must be the sunset!

  • If you really want to feel a bit of what the environment where Brasilia has landed on is lke, the Brazilian savana known as "Cerrado", you must pay a visit. There are few options for meals in there, two wonderful natural water pools (the pools are not naturally formed themselves though), and very nice tracks for those who enjoying walking or riding around. Inexpensive and beautiful. One can even see, in less crowed days, some of the species that live in the park, such as monkeys, tons of birds or even the "guará" wolf (no, really, I have seen them a couple of times).

I saw this bridge as part of a city tour arranged by my hotel with Rainha da Paz Turismo. Our English-speaking guide, Iraquemes, had a rich knowledge of all the places we stopped, a friendly manner, and a willingness to answer all kinds of questions. This bridge was designed to mimick skipping stones over Lake Paranoa. We didn't stay long, but enjoyed seeing the span and see locals out enjoying the lake- fishing, sailing, and just being outdoors.

We were thrilled to find the Temple of Good Will (TGW) in the capital of Brazil, Brasilia. The pyramid shaped building has a labyrinth on the lower level inside - set up to walk while holding intentions for peace, with a sign in book, energized water to sip, and a place to write and put your prayer requests to be held in this field. This was what drew us originally as we enjoy the balancing and connected energies of labyrinths in various places around the world.

We were impressed at all the extensive displays of contributions from many countries around the world including a section of Egyptian statues. Pictures and acknowledgement of many peacemakers from hundreds of years of Earth's history decorate the walls, and there are many displays and contributions from many countries. It is quite inspiring and touching - and we felt worth the visit.

We learned there that Jose de Paiva Netto, who developed and opened the Temple in October 1989, is also an extensive author. We have yet to check out his writing. We learned while in Brazil there are many interesting authors and individuals who helped cultivate open minded global views.

NOTE: The Temple of Good Will is open 24 hrs. Their dress code includes being modest and knees covered. For those who show up in shorts they have aprons that can be worn.

The Palacio do Planalto is one of the more difficult important buildings to visit in Brasilia, as tours are only available on Sundays, and you must request an English tour in advance. If you are in town on Sunday, above all, do it! During my visit the tour consisted of about 30 Portuguese-speaking visitors, while I had my own private tour guide assigned to me to translate in English. Deborah did a wonderful job providing all the details, and the building is well worth the visit. Plus, as with all the major buildings in Brasilia, the tour is free!

The stadium is very big and has the ability to accommodate more that 70000 people. Its full 360 degrees view to all audience but the maintenance is not great.
