A bit outside the normal tourist attractions, this church is a real gem. The windows are one of the most impressive I have ever seen, beautiful color and design, it gives the church a mystic touch. Highly recommended to visit.

It is a Christian sanctuary, Linked to the Salesian order. The highest point are the Blue glass Windows, disposed in mosaics.
Religious modern Brazilian architecture at his best.
The light inside the church is amazing, simple and perfect...
When concrete turns beautiful.
As others have commented and pictures attest, the interior of this Santuario is breathtaking. Before visiting, read about Dom Bosco, and his dream that "prophesied" the building of Brasilia that led to him being the patron saint of the city. It's an interesting story. During your visit, go downstairs to the crypt dedicated to him. The steps leading down are next to the altar. This location is also very near the beginning of one of the residential areas (one of the "wings" in the airplane design plan) of the city. It's a good starting point for a walk if you are interested in seeing some of the planned residential blocks, in addition to the more famous tourist sites.
This sanctuary, which from the outside looks unattractive and entirely material, inside becomes an abstract space defined by the blue light of the stained glass windows.
The interior of the Santuario dom Bosco is one of the most beautiful rooms that I know. When entering the Santurario, I'm struck every time by the beauty of the vast room that is surrounded by large blue glass windows that transcend the room into a divine sphere.
