This hotel is a dump. The room was dirty and grungy, the floor hadn’t been mopped since the last guests, there were moldy corners in the bathroom, the bathroom floor was spongy with obvious water damage, the pullout couch bed dropped tons of crumbs and crud on the floor, and whoever painted it last was obviously high. Not just one person/groups’ fault, either. There were obvious failings on the parts of construction, maintenance, and housekeeping.

The staff here would give Disney a run for their money. If you’re not cheered up by the fellow who oversees breakfast then you can’t be cheered up. Hotel is steps away from the aquarium, the art district, and the river walk. Everyone was courteous, incredibly patient, and helpful. Room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The shower head could have been more generous with water pressure, but that’s the only negative in an otherwise delightful stay.

Very comfortable stay in an excellent location. Very pet friendly...every time we passed the front desk someone there wanted to pet our dog. There are grassy areas at both the front and the back of the hotel for your dog to take care of business. Our elderly dog often needs to get up in the middle of the night, and I felt very safe walking him at the front of the hotel even at those hours.

This hotel is within walking distance of the aquarium, the baseball stadium, and many downtown restaurants. Despite its downtown location, our room was quiet.

The beds were comfortable, there was adequate storage space for our stuff, and enough charging stations for our devices.

Front desk and the restaurant staff are top notch. Felt very welcome from the time I arrived. Waitress and the Chef both went out of their way to make me feel at home and had everything I needed and that I was happy with my food. Perfect job on the quality of the food Chef!

This HGI is close to everything for tourist visiting Chattanooga. Walk to the Aquariums, Discovery Museum, Puckett’s, Hennan’s and I Max theater. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good enough breakfast given Covid rules, prompt valet. Oddly we watched loud racing cars on the downtown street at night but other than that, the location and hotel were great

The staff were great and very helpful. Hotel room though could have been cleaned better. Crumbs in parts or the room were at edges of floor. Previous occupants ice cream was in fridge. Parts of the non carpeted floor was a little sticky. The pillows were very flat and beds not very comfortable. The property needs a little TLC. Paint was pealing off some doors to rooms for example. We felt safe though at the hotel.

This is within a couple blocks to walk to many of the downtown restaurants and attractions. It appeared older, but seemed to be well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable and had standard amenities including a large flat TV, microwave and mini-fridge. Our room had a very nice balcony which we enjoyed sitting and watching the activity on the streets below. They have an indoor pool and fitness room. The breakfast was a very good buffet and also included made to order eggs, pancakes and French toast. Valet parking was $18.

This hotel is clean and in a nice location for the Discovery Center, Climbing wall facility, and the Aquarium, with a nice lobby and a small indoor heated pool. Parking is $18 and across the street. Now for the issues, the electronic key card (using cell phone) did NOT work, it took 3 trips to the desk for them to finally give me a key card even though maintenance was going to replace the batteries in the door lock, which never happened 2 other rooms had the same issue. There is a severe lack of water pressure and hot water on the 4th floor almost to where I wanted to demand another room. The desk clerk seemed frazzled and out of her element.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay. Please accept our apologies regarding not meeting your expectations during time on our property. We have been experiencing some issues with the hot water and water pressure since the completion of our recent renovation on some floors. Please know that this have been addressed and should not affect any upcoming stays. And there has been some technical issues with the communication between the reservation system and guest digital key request. This has been addressed also and should not be a challenge in the future. If your travels bring you back to the Chattanooga area, please reach out to me directly. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Holiday! -Andrea

Brittany was at the front desk and she was very welcoming. She checked me in very quickly and off to my room, with two bottles of water in hand.

Unfortunately the room overlooked the air conditioning units. That wasn't a problem, but they were very noisy. After a bit I realized the loudness was not going to be conducive to a good night's sleep.

I went back down to ask Brittany about the noise and she immediately offered to change rooms for me. And, just across the hall so it was easy to move all my stuff. She did it with grace, charm, and a smile.

The new room had a tub instead of a shower, like the other room. I was actually hoping to be able to soak in a tub, so moving was a good choice.

The room was very comfortable. To me the important part is the bed. It was so comfy and one of the best night's sleep I had.

I got in a bit later than I had hoped, so I was not able to go out and explore, or eat. Instead I ate at the hotel restaurant. Sometimes hotel restaurants can be good, others not so good. I wanted something simple. I had heavy meals and I wasnted something just tasty without all the spicy. I ordered the spinach salad and added the salmon. It was perfect! Not too much seasoning, just right. I'd actually say I enjoyed ths meal the best of my trip. Angela served me, and she was very sweet. You could tell she enjoyed taking care of people by the way she served me, and the conversations I overheard with other customers.

If I ever come to Chattagnooga again, which I hope I do so I can see what I did not get to see this time, I definitely would stay here.

The Children's Discovery Museum, TN Aquarium, IMAX Theater, High Point Climbing, Regal Theaters are located within 1 block of the hotel. There is an electric shuttle, complimentary, that runs every 15-20 minutes that will take passengers across the river to "North Shore" and various points throughout the city.
