We stayed here over New Year's weekend. It is truly a great location and convenient to everything downtown plus free, fast internet service. Once we parked, we didn't have to drive anywhere. It was clean and quiet. We ate at the Big River Grill & Brewing Works which I highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. We tried to eat at the Bluewater Grill but noone would wait on us-I don't recommend this restaurant. We enjoyed walking around downtown and felt very safe. I had the best cup of coffee at the Greyfrier coffee shop-they had free WiFi if you're into that sort of thing. We enjoyed a beer at the Hair of the Dog Pub. I have to tell you that we did the Riverboat dinner cruise on New Year's Eve and it was not what I expected. To me, if you look up the word hokey in the dictionary, it would be this cruise. I couldn't wait for it to be over-and they played "Rocky Top" for the last song-OMG. The band was horrible. I could go on and on about what an unusual experience the Riverboat cruise was-if you want a taste of Appalachia then try it. I think that when we go back to Chattanooga, we'll take the kids-it's really more of a family place.

Great downtown location. Overall a typical Hilton hotel. Bring downtown parking it a big issue here. They don't have their own lot. It is shared by the children's museum and minor league baseball stadium. It is also a public parking area during the day.

We had issues getting clean towels in the day off a wedding.

Not enough wait staff in the restaurant. The chef one night was also acting as server. The morning we had breakfast we had to ask repeatedly for things, butter, silverware, the bill.

Stayed here three nights for business last month. My room was not ready when I arrived at 5pm even though check in is at 4pm. I had used the app to choose my room and request a digital key and had indicated the time of my arrival. The front desk was very busy and there was a tour group there who obviously uses the hotel a lot as the guide ran the show about what rooms they were getting. There were 9 individuals in my group and five of us had to wait for a room. The hotel itself is in a great area, just a short walk down to the river, lots of restaurants nearby, and very convenient. My room was clean, the iron was missing, and the staff were nice. Rooms were average for a Garden Inn and should probably be updated since this hotel is a little pricey due to location. I have status with Hilton so my internet was free and there is a restaurant in the hotel which was very good. Parking is uncovered and if you don't get one of the ten spaces in front of the hotel you have to park across the street. That lot was being repaved and one of my party had their car damaged when they moved it to accommodate the paving. No attempt was made to contact him to move his car by the hotel.

Dear Guest,

I am sorry to hear of your disappointing stay. We try very hard to ensure our E check in guests are taken care of first. Sometimes unfortunately things happen - and this doesn't work. The day you checked in Iron Man participants were checking out and a tour group arriving. That is no excuse to not have every room ready by 4. Please accept my sincere apologies on your average stay - we want your stay to be better and brighter every time. Should you need anything else, please reach out.

Thank you,

Lauren

Front desk and the restaurant staff are top notch. Felt very welcome from the time I arrived. Waitress and the Chef both went out of their way to make me feel at home and had everything I needed and that I was happy with my food. Perfect job on the quality of the food Chef!
