- Paradise6185542 contributionsI just want to take a few moments to share how impressed I was with our trolley ride experience over the weekend. Our time with the train ride experience was good, but the trolley ride to and from the train yard took our day's adventure from enjoyable to memorable! Our trolley driver Craig was exceptional! Craig was engaging, knowledgeable, entertaining, witty, and kind. On our trolley experience we learned a lot about the history of Chattanooga, the Civil War, and the role Chattanooga has played in America's path towards equity and equality. Craig did an exceptional job capturing the attention of each member of our group, which ranged from 4 years old to 68 years old. I would recommend bringing a pillow or a cushion to sit on as the uncomfortable seats on the trolley was the only negative part of our trolley experience. - 99mkwAtlanta, GA100 contributionsThis was the highlight of our trip to Chattanooga! My 12 and 15 year-olds were thrilled and described the experience as "magical." Seeing the bats was amazing, but the Osprey nest was really cool as well. We enjoyed the latter even more because we brought binoculars, but those aren't necessary (you can't really use them for the bats).
The excursion was well-organized and efficient. Our two guides, Thomas and Luke, were outstanding. We have a lot of experience kayaking but between the guides, the equipment and the nature of the lake this tour would still work great for those new to kayaking.
One comment on the equipment: The two guides can only keep up with a dozen or so guest kayaks. The larger the group, the more double kayaks they will use. Our group of 20 only had 4 single kayaks. Among the doubles, all but three were ride-on-top style. If you have a preference, don't be shy about making an early move for the boat you want. In our case, you "claimed" your kayak by grabbing the life jackets. I have to rate this one as one of our top tours. Briana was absolutely fantastic! Beautiful inside and out with a great smile and charming personality. The food and drinks were soooo delicious and plentiful. You’ll be very full at the end. - Reyna C11 contributionsMy husband and I really wanted to do a ghost tour & we weren’t sure which one to choose, when we found the “booze” option- we were sold! Hannah was so bubbly, friendly & knowledgeable. We enjoyed the haunted history, especially walking & learning about deeper roots that founded this awesome town. We did some fun trivia, and Hannah even drank some beers with us. She made the atmosphere not awkward. She also told us she hosts family tours with kids & that sounded fun!
