We just arrived home from our weekend stay in Chattanooga and I must say that I was not at all impressed with our hotel stay. I booked the douuble queen deluxe because I did want a balcony option but for 149.00 a night I was most disappointed. The room was very small. The desk and chair in the room prevent anyone even the children from being able to walk around the bed. The so called breakfast in the morning seemed to not even exist and the lounge/bar I never did find. I as well never found the coin laundry. We allowed the kids to swim in the indoor pool and we had to pack wet swim clothes because there is not a coin laundry as the website suggest. As well we wanted to order in on Saturday night because we were tired from a long day at the aqaurium but to our surprise there is nothing on the room service menu for the children/ not even a burger. Also the room size posed some problems with the closet/bathroom/entry door. The room is so small that trying to get 3 kids bathed and dressed with the closet door bumping into the bathroom door and the fact that you cant get out the main door was terrible. Oh and I forgot to mention that on our 2nd night there our toilet completely backed up and when we called the front desk the only help we got was a plunger left at the door in a plastic bag and they never even called back to see if we were successful in fixing our plumbing problem!! Not at all pleased with the price for what we recieved.

This place has the BEST location - (okay there are a few others that are in the same neighborhood). You can walk easily to the Chattanooga Childrens Museum next door, which is incredible - I walked by it a few times, and man, I wish I had a grandkid to bring there!

You can also walk a few blocks to the north, and find the Chattanooga Aquarium, which is also a really nice place.

A movie theater is across the street.

Restaurants (dozens) within easy walking distance.

So, location, location, location!

The lobby is warm and inviting. They offer free self-serve popcorn nightly, which was a nice touch. The bar is friendly - you can stop down and have a drink or three if you like.

The restaurant is good inside the hotel. The food was tasty. Breakfast starts around 6:00 am.

The room was comfortable. The bedding was nice. The fitness center and pool were a little small, but they had what I needed.

The bar / lounge has outside seating, so if the weather was nice, that is a nice touch.

Pros: very clean, very good service and staff, great breakfast, excellent location.

Cons: indoor pool very small and way too chlorinated. My eyes were burning from sitting at side of pool, and my two year old had a skin reaction to the water and could not stay in. Parking spots are very narrow and I had to wait until multiple cars left, just so I could find one that my car would fit in enough to make it 50/50 that my doors would not get dinged.

With that said, I would stay again.

We came for our grand daughter's 4th birthday. She loved the pool and the Aquarium and Discovery Museum were so close. There were tons of cool restaurants and the revitalization of downtown outstanding. The people that we met were very friendly.
