We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed in a spacious, very clean, family suite. The staff is welcoming, professional and helpful. Our only hiccup was that the WiFi in our room (109) was not fast enough for streaming. We had our own supplemental WiFi and we therefore did not ask for assistance with it. We love this quiet but convenient area of Barcelona and look forward to staying at this hotel again.

I love this hotel and have been coming to it for the past 4 and half years on my trips to Barcelona. It is in quiet neighborhood, with lots of nice restaurants near by, as well the hotel restaurant. As my main reason is business and often stay more then a week, the extra space works great, but the internet service is just horrible. If I have to take a conf call at night and don't want to stay in the office, is like missing the call. Just tried it again last night and the internet service was horrible, continuing to be horrible in the morning. They have free service for Marriott members, but it is like not existing, unless you are not looking to do casual surfing.

Located in the best and most prestigious urban neighborhood in Barcelona. The hotel offers a relax atmosphere and good breakfast with a good restaurant. It is located in the residential Pedregal neighborhood. The rooms are comfortable and modern. The staff is responsive and helpful, and you can communicate with them via the chat option in the BonVoy app. They do need to have staff to help with luggage when you check, this would have help avoid a robbery in my case. Note that there is only one luggage cart at the hotel. Also the hotel needs to put more and better security cameras at the front of the hotel, so taxis coming and dropping clients off can be recorded. I had an incident during mid morning, in which a taxi driver took off with my back pack as I was helping my handicap mother walk to the front of hotel at check in, and the security of the hotel could not capture the license of the taxi driver due to the poor location and resolution of the cameras. Even thought this robbery happened in the hotel premises no record was kept by the hotel security system, so clients be aware of this. I hope the AC Hotel improves their security system in the future so their guest are better protected and the hotel keeps their outstanding reputation.

Stayed at hotel with friends as sons wedding in Barcelona. The hotel is in a lovely area of Barcelona. Quiet and away from the main attractions although within walking distance of Camp Nou (10 mins) Also the Metro is close by to easily get to the centre and across the road the blue tourist bus stops outside the park. You can pay on the bus. The hotel itself is very clean, modern and the staff friendly and professional. Rooms are huge (junior suites). My only complaint is that I booked 3 rooms, all for the same price and one had a huge balcony; one a small and the other no balcony. The one with no balcony had a problem with pigeons settling between the shutters which woke my son up early in the morning. All in all a great experience and would certainly stay there again if visiting Barcelona.

Room
Staff is super friendly. Room was huge, almost too big where space was wasted such as the room with just a coffee machine and mini fridge which sadly was just a mini bar and was not usable for personal food if you are there for several days as we were. The balcony was a decent size as well but there was only one chair and no table and the view was directly into apartments/other hotel rooms. The chair was also quite dirty. The bed was fine, but I wish it was more comfortable. My biggest complaint is the noise level. We could hear dogs barking nightly and people in the streets. The worst part was whoever was staying above us. At 11pm and later each night it sounded as if they were rearranging the room and/or doing construction. At one point we heard a very loud noise that sounded like a power drill at 11:30pm. After just watching Jeffry Dahmer, I was a bit worried. Luckily we were able to sleep through all of this, it was just not ideal. Only other complaint is that the only English channel on the TV was CNN news which got old for 4 days.
Restaurant
The restaurant itself was fine. Breakfast was a big buffet with a delicious spanish omelet. However, for the price we only did one day as we deemed getting a slice of that omelet not worth it. For lunch/dinner they had plenty of options which, again, were fine if you’re exhausted and don’t feel like going to town. Again, the prices were a bit high for the quality of food. Drinks here are nice though and would recommend it for those.

There were a few restaurants within 10 mins walking from the hotel. We attempted to go to 2 of them but one was closed for the break between lunch and dinner and one was completely booked with reservations. We spent the rest of our time going into town for food and never tried anything near the hotel.

Thank you very much for your kind words about the staff, we will share your feedback with all of them :) As per the style and furniture of the room, our rooms are all Junior Suite which they're bigger than other hotel rooms. Usually, we just put one chair in the balconies but in case you want 2, feel free to contact reception and we will provide one extra for you. About the noise issue, we apologise about it and we will investigate where the noise came from to fix it and avoid bothering future guests. Thank you for your comments of the Restaurant, we will share as well with the Director about the high price of the dishes and options. About the location, we are in a residential area with several options of restaurants around and with the metro really near to go to downtown so that makes easier to move in the city. For the TLDR - consider staying somewhere else, this is not a safe place. This property does not live up the AC Marriott standards and I had a lot of issues at this property.
The main issue being a massive safety and privacy violation. While I was in my room, another guest unlocked the door and walked in on me. The front desk had double booked the room. I understand things happen but in over a +1000 hotel night stays throughout my career (many time diamond/platinum/gold status holder), this has never happened to me before. There was no way to know if the guest returned the key and they never specified whether the new keys issued were different. I was in fear that someone could have access to my room at any moment throughout the stay. Furthermore, this was ignored and not acknowledged by management when I reached out to them via email about multiple concerns including poor room conditions and noise. They offered an insulting number of points at me without acknowledging the privacy and safety violation.
Consider your options and stay somewhere else for your own safety.

According to the receptionist, there are private apartments in the ‘hotel’ that can do what they want - and make as much noise as they like. Unfortunately we were below one that was doing major maintenance. This, along with the general basic nature of the apartments (kitchenette with no sink, plates or cutlery, apartment generally grubby), we cannot recommend anyone stay there! Found out later that the hotel knew this maintenance was scheduled, and still put us (with an 11 month child) in it. Really disappointing.

At this property we have hotel rooms and also there are private apartments that are not part of the hotel. At this moment we have one private apartment that start with the renovation this week, with the respective authorization. Per local regulations, they can work from 08 AM until 08 PM, but for respecting our guests, we request them to start at 09 AM. As we do not coordinate the works, we did not have the confirmation that they were starting this week. We still have a room at disposal if you want to change until the end of your stay. Stayed a few nights in August for business meetings. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful in arranging cabs and areas to hold private meetings. The restaurant was spectacular and neighborhood quiet. The large guest room was exceptionally clean and even had a balcony that ran the full length of the room. Would stay again without any hesitation.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Rene from the front desk quickly signed us in and we were in our room promptly. The room was perfect for my family. The hotel is located in a residential area and we found it charming. Access to the metro was a 5 min walk and we used it often during our 5 days in Barcelona. My kids, 5 and 6, loved exploring the neighborhood and walking to the camp Nou from the hotel. Want to recognize Federico and Martina from the breakfast restaurant. They were kind, hard working, and welcoming every morning. I would definitely stay in this hotel again as I found it easy to access the major attractions by metro.

Receptionist guy, Pedro is one the worst service guy of Hotel AC Victoria Suites Barcelona, I have ever met. We traveled over 15 hrs from the US to Barcelona and paid 9 days in advance to only ask him to let us check in an hour earlier so we can rest and this dude didn’t even care. He wanted us to check in at exact 3PM. There are many good hotels around Barcelona with a human compassion, not a robot. So this would be the last time we stay here.
