We stayed here for three months in 1986. It has improved!!

Room was clean and in good condition.
Hotel is very well located for everything, by public transport or walking.
We decided to have breakfast in our room, nespresso machine and plenty of capsules. Good amount of food.
FOr the rate we paid, it was good value (100€ inc bfast)
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed in a spacious, very clean, family suite. The staff is welcoming, professional and helpful. Our only hiccup was that the WiFi in our room (109) was not fast enough for streaming. We had our own supplemental WiFi and we therefore did not ask for assistance with it. We love this quiet but convenient area of Barcelona and look forward to staying at this hotel again.
I love this hotel and have been coming to it for the past 4 and half years on my trips to Barcelona. It is in quiet neighborhood, with lots of nice restaurants near by, as well the hotel restaurant.
As my main reason is business and often stay more then a week, the extra space works great, but the internet service is just horrible. If I have to take a conf call at night and don't want to stay in the office, is like missing the call. Just tried it again last night and the internet service was horrible, continuing to be horrible in the morning. They have free service for Marriott members, but it is like not existing, unless you are not looking to do casual surfing.
We are still at the hotel. Booked for 11 nights over Christmas period.
My opinion is that a bit of renovation is long overdue...
Very disappointed that actually using the kitchenette (main reason for booking) requires extra charge - “about €15”per day.
My opinion is that this is misrepresentation as nowhere this is mentioned during booking. I realise that I am not staying at self catering accommodation, but to pay 10% more to use a kitchen that is shown on all photos is a bit too much in my opinion

The use of kitchennettte has an extra daily fee and just a few Junior Suites has a small Kitchen.
The extra fee is informed in all the rooms that have kitchennete and it is only applied if the guest requested it.
The Hotel could provide dishes, post, pans and full clutery but ther is an extra cost that goes from 10€ to 15 € per day.
I am sorry to see that you are disappointed on this issue.
The hotel will bring to your room a microwave free of charge for you. Also we will be happy to provide the utensils incase you need it.

It lived up to it's ratings on Trip Advisor. Nice hotel with suite-sitting room/bedroom with divider. Balcony for each rooms. A bit dated in some room aspects. The tub/shower combo was a bit funky to operate. Nice restaurant and bar. Nice friendly service personnel. Spent three day and enjoyed. Not city center but public transportation nearby made it easy to reach all locations.
