This hotel is lovely, excellent service. Very clean, very modern - everything you would expect from a Marriott. The staff were very helpful and prompt to deliver any service. Within walking distance to the Metro and to FC hop on hop off bus stop. Close walking distance to lovely bakery and a yummy pizza restaurant.

The only negative would be the cost of the breakfast 20.50 euros.

We had a week in a two bedroom room in August...I will start with the positive.. I think it was decent value for money....the hotel is in a very nice location in the North of the City....It is a twenty minute drive from the airport....within walking distance of the Barcelona Football Stadium and probably 15 to 20 minute drive to the centre of Barcelona....Its a pleasant suburban area and there are nearby Bus stops.. tram stops... and the Metro Station at Maria Christina to take you into the City...It cost about four euros return on the metro into the centre of Barcelona and took around twenty minutes....Its a short walk to Diagonal... a long and busy road which has lots of shops and amenities....The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.....the room was cleaned every day....there is a restaurant and breakfast service...the room itself was a generous size...a large double bed and two single beds....there was a coffee table and a small balcony which was nice to get the sun....The negatives were that the room décor could have been a little better...I noticed several scuff and scratch marks on the furniture...I thought there was a health and safety issue in that we were on the ninth floors and the bedroom windows could be fully opened and somebody could fall out.. which at that height could be fatal....also on the small balcony...there was a protective plastic barrier.. but it was only three foot high...and a large child or adult could easily fall over it...which again from nine floors up could prove fatal...better use could have been made of the room space...there was very little storage space in the second bedroom......The worst thing was the kitchenette.... There was a small kitchen area with two hot plates...but no cutlery or crockery...we were told that if we wanted cutlery and crockery we would have to pay fifteen euros per day to hire them from the hotel...this would have totalled over one hundred euros for the week...unacceptable...we could have gone to a local shop and bought our own for twenty euros.....The choice of food at breakfast was limited...Overall I would still recommend the hotel for the money...

Dear guest, Thank you for having taken your time to provide us with your comments about your stay with us. I am glad to know that you had a good time discovering our city and you found our hotel good located. (we have a metro station near the hotel and you can reach down town in about 15-20 minutes). Thank you for your comments about the Suite! Our family suites are our biggest rooms. They are 65m2 and are perfect for families that travel with kids. Is true that there is a supplement if you want to use our kitchennette of 15€ per day. This rate includes: Dishes, pots, pans, microwave, all kinds of cutlery, utensils for wash the dishes, kettle... We think is a reasonable price as it also includes the cleaning of the kitchen. I would like to strongly emphasise that the security on our rooms is very important for us. On our family suites, the windows located on the second room (twin beds) are permanently closed as a security measure, like the glass placed on the balcony. I take the opportunity to inform you that we have remodelated our breakfast buffet (new furniture and new products) so you are very welcome on your next visit to Barcelona. Best regards, Andrea Garrido

I've been there for a conference.
I've received a two room suite with a balcony. The room is very modern, spacious and very clean.
The hotel gives the guest all that small goodies that even other Marriott hotels don't give anymore such as toothbrush, shower cups, shaving razors and more. Bathrobes and shoes - just like a SPA.
Their bath towels - the largest I've ever seen in a hotel.
The hotel is located in a nice quiet neigbourhood near the Diagonal avenue. It is about 20 minutes walk from the conference center. It is close by to Palais Raiel, and Camp Nou. It is not a walking distance from the center, you'll have to take the underground for that.
Their restaurant is excellent - both for breakfast and dinner. They have a very good bread store in the restaurant.

Stayed three nights. In the first room we were assigned, one of the three beds had not been changed and was actually quite dirty. We were promptly moved to another unit where the beds appeared clean. However, the unit was in need of a paint job and the floors had been sweeped rather quickly. Also, the water reservoir of the Nespresso coffee machine was not the cleanest. Finally, Bathroom and pool towels looked pretty tired.

Having said this, we did greatly appreciate the free mini bar (containing a few soft drinks, bottled water, juices plus one alcoholised and one non-alcohol beer). Breakfast was quite acceptable. Front desk service is very good. The outdoor pool is not heated but since we were there during a heat wave, it turned out to be quite refreshing.

Note that the hotel is in a fairly residential area (seemed quite safe) and consequently, there is not much around. It's a 10 minute walk from Maria Cristina metro station on Line 3. There is a casual dining restaurant within meters (Central Park) and a very decent pasta restaurant 2 blocks away (Tagliatella). Supermarkets like "Carrefour" are a good 12-15 minute walk away.

Prior to a two week cruise, our family of 7 stayed here for four days. We found it to be exactly as advertised and reviewed by others here on TripAdvisor, which is to say it was very good. A nondescript building and there is no pool, which we knew going in, but standing on the balcony of our room looking down at the 3 or 4 pools that the nearby buildings have at their base made it a little more difficult that it would've been otherwise. (Though i'm fairly certain these were apartment building pools and NOT rival hotels). Again, caveat emptor. If we really wanted a pool, we could've found one.

It's close to restaurants, an ATM 50 feet from the entrance, and not too far of a walk to public transport. For our 75 year old and our 11 year old, any further though and it would've been a complaining-situation. For normal, able-bodied people it's totally fine though.

The outdoor garden/seating area is pretty nice to hang-out at, especially just before and after activities as everyone's gathering to leave or finishing goodnight conversations. The attached restaurant, half-inside and half-outside, was also very nice. We had a nice dinner there on our first night after a long, long day of travelling. You'll pay hotel prices for the food, which again should come as no surprise, but under the circumstances it was worth it for us.

I'd have no hesitation in recommending this place to a family member or friend and if i ever find myself planning another trip to Barcelona some day, it'll be one of the first places I'll check.

Cheers!
