The Sheraton Grand Hiroshima Hotel garners positive feedback for its strategic location adjacent to Hiroshima Train Station, with many guests appreciating the easy access it provides. Its modern and clean atmosphere, particularly noted in its spacious rooms and well-maintained bathrooms, earns praise from visitors, though a few have commented on dated elements and musty odors. While the staff's friendliness is often highlighted, some guests have encountered inconsistent service. Opinions on value vary, with a mix of reviews noting reasonable pricing for the amenities offered, contrasted by mentions of additional charges and less impressive features.

When we initially planned a trip to Hiroshima, I did not expect much from the accommodations but we were pleasantly surprised by the Sheraton Hiroshima. The staff were warm and extremely helpful. The hotel is elegant and the location is great, It’s adjacent to the rail station but quiet and across the street from Hiroshima Ekie, a shopping complex with an excellent choice of restaurants including a group of okinomiyaki places a little more upscale than Okinomimura (although our favorite still was in Miyajima - Darumano Hassho). The breakfast is a Japanese-Western buffet and well worth $28. The “maple and lemon route” bus are easily accessed at the train station. The fares are $2 or can be covered by a JR pass allowing for easy downtown access, including the Peace Park. I would strongly encourage a stay here if in the area.

The Sheraton is at a great location for Hiroshima rail station, you leave the station from the north entrance and keep at the same level, take a right as you leave the station and follow the walkway into the hotel which you will see directly in front of you. You enter the hotel on floor 2 and take the lift to the lobby

The hotel was a lot better than expectation with the room being extremely clean with no damage or stained furnishings. We had a king room that did have a large bed, which was very comfortable with fine linen and pillows. The room was large and of an “open” bathroom, which was my first. The sink and pedestal were in the bed room with the bath and shower being in a separate room in a “wet room” . It had a separate toilet room, with all the “extras” of shower, bidet and flush. There were plenty of towels, of good quality, and extra amenities such as sponge, razor, toothbrush, creams and the like.

We were only here for two nights and had room only, so did not use the F&B facilities of the hotel. The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance to the “peace park and dome”, with the walk taking you through an interesting shopping area.

Within the station area there is a food court with many different styles of eating, so there are plenty of places to get breakfast, lunch or dinner at very reasonable prices. If you choose to eat dinner here, my tip would be eat early or you will be queing for along time to get a table.

Overall, our stay was extremely comfortable and the reception staff most courteous making this an excellent stay.

It's about 5 minutes by foot from the railway station, at which you'll find supermarkets and restaurants. It's great just to be able to wheel your suitcase right into the lobby of the hotel, there's no escalators from the time you get off the train. Rooms are good size. The breakfast is okay, not extraordinary. Downside is that you have to pay to use the spa/pool. Unfortunate policy decision, just puts people's backs up.

The hotel is right next to the JR Hiroshima station so getting there is very easy if you are arriving on the train. The Hiroshima JR loop buses that takes tourists around the city also starts and ends at the station so if you are visiting Hiroshima as a tourist the hotel location is hard to beat.

The property itself is modern and clean. The rooms are large and since we were upgraded to a high floor room we had an excellent view of the city from our room. The staff were all friendly and efficient.

We didn’t go for the breakfast buffet but orders room service and the food was excellent and service quick. The breakfast always arrived exactly at the time we had requested for.

The train station has some really good restaurants (especially the sushi place) so that saved us the bother of finding places to eat.

I would highly recommend this hotel in Hiroshima.

This hotel was a nice discovery. It’s actually linked by a walkway from the station where the Shinkansen arrives. You my roll your bags to its side entrance and take elevators up to the lobby and then walk to the reception. The staff there is attentive and seeks you out whenever you walk in and deals with you politely and purposefully. The room was nice with a city view and it had good amenities and coffee and various teas. A toilet with a bath and tub. The access to the executive lounge was a boon and gave us happy hours as well as a continental breakfast. Very nice stay, very efficient staff.

Usually I stay at another hotel near the Hiroshima Station, but it was booked up. What a terrific surprise to find the Sheraton with its spacious rooms and modern bathrooms! I now plan to always reserve this Hiroshima hotel if I return to the city.

Unlike most rooms in Japan, the Sheraton accommodation was huge! I also liked the shower and tub area, which uses a cool design of the shower water flowing under the tub. The sink and toilet were separate from the tub room, so two people can get ready in the morning easily.

The room includes bottled water, an electric kettle, tea bags, slippers and pajamas. It all seemed very clean.

For breakfast, I just went to the convenience store in the station. You simply walk on a ramp to get to/from the train station.

One negative: you cannot hail a taxi from in front of the hotel, but the station is a mere minutes away.

Like the ad for another hotel chain used to declare: No surprises here. And, indeed, there are no unpleasant surprises at this hotel. Check in was pleasant and professional. The rooms are modern, large with excellent amenities, including bottled water and fluffy towels, and excellent beds. The room is open concept - meaning the sink is separated from the bedroom by a partial screen which forms a mirror at the back - but the toilet and bathroom are private. So no problem here for the shy.

The hotel is in a good area for restaurants and adjacent to a transportation hub.

All in all good value and a relaxing stay was had.

Loved this place at first sight; so conveniently located in the heart of Hiroshima City, walk-in train, Shinkansen and bus stations, shopping, food, sightseeing, and all of the above. Classy, and with stamps of Marriot Groups elegance on services and accommodations with staffs ready and willing to provide and please its guests. Excellent breakfast spread for everyone added with Oriental hint. Well maintained facilities, spa, gym and large indoor pool. That makes this hotel a secret jewel of Hiroshima, and our stay very pleasantly wonderful as we visited the city and surrounding areas. Thank you Sheraton.

We had a bright, modern, airy room at this hotel which practically connects to the train station. There was a shower bathtub room and island sink which acted as a room divider to the bath. There was a desk and other seating area. We are Bonvoy loyalists so we had access to their very nice club for happy hour. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and very good. ….Everything you could want plus fresh squeezed orange juice. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Pleasantly pleased to see the hotel right next to the station and well-connected at the 2nd floor of Hiroshima JR station. A covered walkway brought me to the hotel and room was ready before 3 pm which was perfect. The room was spacious and clean, with great cityview. Although near to the station, room was soundproof so I could enjoy the silence and be sure I will not be disturbed by train/street noise. I opted for breakfast on one of the mornings and the spread was quite extensive. Wanted to book a massage but it was fully booked, hence a pity. Overall a wonderful and comfortable stay and highly recommended!
