We stayed here for five nights in mid September'21. The hotel exceeded our expectations in each category: front desk staff, room size, decor, cleanliness, amenities, proximity to restaurants, attractions, and access to public transportation.
Starting with front desk staff Mr Mendes and Mr Gomes: both answered my email queries promptly within a business day. Helped alleviate my concerns about COVID and provided detailed directions to the hotel from Lisbon airport using metro. Mr. Matheu Gomes went above and beyond by going on a hunt for more comfortable pillow so that I got good night's sleep. Our room was on the fourth floor, facing inside "well" which made it bit dark but upside was peace and quiet at night. Exterior rooms can be bit noisy because of street noise. Hotel seemed new, shiny, spic & span, our room was serviced daily. Room was very large, had high ceiling, Decor was tasteful, bed was extremely comfortable, shower stall had nice glass doors, very high water pressure, lots of space for personal stuff. Only thing that could be improved is breakfast. We ate it only on the first day. We are vegetarians, the variety offered didn't justify 10 Euro cost of the breakfast. During our five day stay, we walked pretty much everywhere and places we couldn't walked to, were all easily reachable via either metro or tram/bus within a 100 meters of the hotel. In-room WiFi worked well. My Story Tejo is one of the five My Story hotels in central Lisbon tourist area. After seeing the locations of the other sister hotels, I thought Tejo probably had the best location. Overall, we had great stay & will definitely be back in future.

We are very pleased with our experience at this hotel. From the start the staff was very helpful with everything. They speak and understand english very well. We booked a double room and it was very spacious, more than we expected. It was clean and everything looked very well taken care of. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The A/C worked well, during the nights it would get very cold. We also did not have any problem with outside noise.
As for the location, the hotel is perfectly located. Everyhting is of walking distance. There is also a parking space in front of the hotel for scooters or motors. This made it great for travelling.
Over and all we loved our stay in Lisbon.
P.s. as for the people who are wondering about the corona virus. In Lisbon, people take it very seriously, there are hand sanitizers in almost every shop. It is also mandatory to wear masks in closed areas. This gave a very safe feeling.

I like the location which was quite convienent as it was centrally located next to all the outdoor activities and at Rossio, and the building is quite old. I liked that the price of rhte hotel was only 40/p night which was great for Oktober when still sunny. The room however 514 had an very not nice smell of hamburgers if you opened the windows, and i also felt it was quite loud so i did not slept very good. The reception is not very helpful, it is very much 'barbie and ken' on the reception and they do not understand your needs. Unless this hotel is offering me anything i might not stay here again.

This is a great place to stay at if you get a room facing the interior, to kill street noise. Excellent location, beds, breakfast, etc. Great location. But the outside rooms can be noisy. And avoid having them arrange a pickup from the airport because a taxi is much less expensive.

Lovely hotel! Perfect location where you can walk easily to attractions - or to the metro/bus/train station - and the start of route 28 on the tram is literally 30 seconds walk away!
Quiet at night and air con made a great sleep (and respite from the heat!) Very comfortable beds (and housekeeping made the rooms spotless and welcoming every day)
Breakfast was great with good choices - even for non meat eaters, very happy to be able to choose between oat and soya milk (also had dairy and lactose free!)
All staff were lovely and friendly and could not do enough for us.
Enjoyed the sister hotel practically next door as well for happy hour on their terrace!
Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to explore Lisbon and hope to return! 😀

I stayed here 3 nights 11 - 14 November 2022 as part of an organised tour. I didn’t check in as the tour guide already had our room cards. To access the rooms, not only the lift but also the stairs, needed the room card.
The room was basic but clean. The safe needed 6 digits to operate it, which confused me as there were no instructions anywhere. It was however very big. The air-con was very efficient and the WiFi was fast too. At first I thought the room was dark, but when I found the correct light switch the room was very bright. A wonderful change from the usual gloomy hotel rooms. There was a TV with a few English language news channels and BBC Entertainment too. There was only one, kitchen style, chair provided although there was space in the room for at least one easy chair. Plenty of room in the cupboards with about a dozen hangers. There were ample electric sockets, but no USB charge points. No tea or coffee making equipment either.
The bed was quite hard, but I slept well enough. The bathroom was quite large, but the hand towels were quite thin. No face cloths. Rituals toiletries were provided. The water was hot enough to wet shave in, but the plug in the sink didn’t keep the water in, which meant I had to keep the tap running whilst shaving. It also meant that I needed to be ultra careful when cleaning my contact lenses. The shower had both a hand held and rain head. The former was powerful, the latter not so. The nozzles sprayed all over the place. The towel holders were more form over function and I had to make sure the towels were hung carefully, or they would fall off. There wasn’t much shelf space.
Breakfast was OK. Buffet style with all the usual suspects. Juices, cereals, cold meats and cheeses, bacon, eggs and pastries. Self serve coffee.
Not a hotel I would have chosen, but it did the job.

After reading some of the reviews, I was slightly apprehensive about staying here. However the hotel exceeded our expectations! The hotel is located close to the centre of Lisbon and close to all the attractions and public transport. Our room was huge, clean and airy, this was a pleasant surprise as anytime we have stayed in a European city, the rooms are usually very small. Excellent price, we will be back again!

Stayed here in November 2022 as a solo female traveler in room 207. Hotel is located very central, close to most tourist attractions and it's easy accessible by public transport. Although it's in the busy city center, it was quiet in the hotel, so no noise complaints! I didn't interact with the staff very much, but when I did they were all very kind and helpful. The room was small, but very nice looking and clean. The bathroom was also really clean, with a large rain shower and included shampoo and soap. The room also had an cooler with a few drinks in it, which you could pay for, but I also used it to store drinks from the supermarket next door. It's small, so you can only store small or medium bottles. I didn't have a nice view from my hotel window, as I could see into the building next to the hotel, but since I wasn't in my room a lot, I didn't mind it. Breakfast was great. There were many things to choose from, with lots of Portuguese pastries and it tasted great. When I'll visit Lisbon again, I will definitely go back to My Story Hotel Tejo! :)

the location of this hotel is perfect, just around the corner from Rossio square and within walking distance to all the bars of the old town. the hotel itself is very clean and the soundproof rooms are brilliant. we never heard a sound in the 3 nights we were there, not even the usual doors closing and even although we had a street view we could hear no traffic noise either. the rooms are spacious with a comfortable bed and good powerful shower. the breakfast at the hotel is more continental than british but there was plenty of choice and was all fresh, only downside was the coffee machines which in my opinion in the wrong place and can get quite crowded at times. overall if i was to visit Lisbon again i would definitely stay at this hotel, it is the perfect place to stay to explore Lisbon.

The nearest metro station is Rossio, just 300 m away and a 9-minute walk from Commerce Square, which overlooks the Tagus River; Praça da Figueira is just around the corner where you can easily take the Hop On-Hop Off Bus Tours, Public Bus, Trams and so on.
Bairro Alto is within a 10-minute walk and features a multitude of popular bars, restaurants and shops; Lisbon's Humberto Delgado International Airport is at 6.3 km and is reachable via metro 2,10€, aerobus 4,00€ or taxi. 15,00€
