Our group of 10 stayed at the Woodstock for our annual golf trip. Blackie, the owner and John the manager treated us like family. Blackie and John went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Rooms were clean and quite. Try out the wings in the Woodstock bar - they are exceptional !

Went to go throw a 20 in vlts after long day at work and discovered the vlts got taken away from the bar as they were not paying winning tickets. Telling people to go collect in other towns. Lmao. After 20 yrs they gone. Hahaha. Maybe one day they will be back. ..

This hotel is under new ownership and newly renovated. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are brand new. There is a restaurant and sports bar attached to the hotel with good food and live entertainment. Very convenient! The people were very accommodating and fun!

There was a group of us that made reservations to stay one night at this "newly renovated" hotel. Every time we went to check in there was nobody there and said to go to the Kitchen for service. We finally got checked in by pressing the button multiple times and going back and forth to the Kitchen located in the Bar. I have no idea what newly renovated means as it does not appear that anything has been done since 1970! One garbage in the room, no soap in the bathroom or shower, cold floors, loud hallways etc.

I could handle that (definitely not worth my $125) but it was the way that Blackie the Owner treated us was what was unacceptable. Upon arrival he was very rude as we used the bathroom in the restaurant that was adjacent to the Front Desk. He said that if his Check In clerk would have been there we wouldn't have a room as that area was closed... Well we were standing there for 20 minutes without being served, saw a washroom so we used it. There were no signs saying the Washrooms were out of order and when you gotta go, you gotta go!

When we checked out, we saw a sign at the Front Desk advising to leave key on counter (super secure) but we still needed to use the room so we kept the key. Blackie called me and left me a voicemail asking for the key and I called right back and spoke to the Bartender advising I would return the key right after we were done playing our ball game, she said no problem bring it to me in the Bar.

Went to the Bar, chatted with the super friendly Bartender and returned the key. 2 days later I received a threatening text message (not even a phone call) that he would be contacting a Lawyer if the key was not returned 24 hours from receiving the text message as it was a breach of Security. I texted back and also called and let him know that before he sends threatening texts, to check with this Staff as they key was turned in. He also said that I never called him back (which I did, the Bartender answered).

If he had a front desk clerk like every other hotel I have ever stayed in all of these issues would be avoided... Perhaps he needs a lesson in hotel/restaurant management as well.

They will never get our Teams Business again, we will save the money and use it for cabs!

Have stayed here years ago but love the new upgrades with the new owner. Also they have made the patio bigger which is great. The burger I had here was absolutely the best burger around. The new rooms were wonderful. Cheapest drinks around $4.75 for highballs and beer. Can't drink like that anywhere else

Nice setting, seems like it could be amazing; however the servers need a kick in the ass. Terrible service. May as well bring a case of beer as they take forever to serve you! Wish that would change as the place could be so much better!

I attended an open Jam night and had a really great time. Friendly people, great food, and a nice small town atmosphere. The prices were reasonable and service was good. I stayed nearby in my motor home so I did not experience the hotel other than breakfast in their restaurant which was quite good. I did see a room and it appeared to be comfortable and adequate for a nights stay.

We recently stayed here having spent a night at the hotel about a year ago. Perhaps the rooms have been completely renovated....it was hard to tell....certainly the hallways are still minus the baseboards and the carpet is still from the 1970's....it may be a non smoking hotel now but unfortunately the old smokey odour still emanates from the old carpet. Our bathroom appeared to be not very clean - the tub in particular. We asked the person working the desk (who at the time was working in the kitchen and seemed to be the only person there) for bar soap as there was none in the bathroom; it was never delivered even though he said he would get us some. There was a restaurant near the lobby that it has been closed for renovation. It seems that the bar is where the owner is putting his time and energy as it does seem to be popular. I doubt that we would ever stay here again.
