Detailed Reviews
Was in Barbados on business and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. It definitely is not a resort hotel but it is within easy access to a beach across the road. The rooms were modern and very clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating with any questions about dining options. The only negative thing is that the bar is relatively expensive compared to the places around the hotel but that is really a minor issue.

Staff and service were excellent, helpful and courteous. The rum punch on arrival is delicious.
There are very few restaurant options anywhere near the hotel. Dinner at the hotel was expensive and mediocre. The breakfast buffet was best described as "disappointing," and is obscenely priced. Breakfast at this Courtyard is MORE EXPENSIVE than breakfast at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC. A very discouraging way to end the visit.

Everything is what you would expect from a Marriott Courtyard.
Hotel is new, so goes without saying that it feels and smells new.
Staff very welcoming and helpful.
TGI Friday and local restaurant/Bar right next door if you want to try something other than whats on the menu.
I could not sleep on the top floor due to noise from the AC units, so room was changed the day after.

I stayed here on July 30 - July 31st and made the unfortunate mistake of leaving my purse at the bar on July 30th the first day I came in town. My purse contained over a $100 US dollars and 4 hundred BDS. When I realized my mistake I went down looking for my purse. They directed me to the front desk. To my surprise they had my purse. I was thrilled.. until I opened it up and realized all the money I had in there was gone EXCEPT for $11 usd. I spoke with every manger there who assured me that I must be mistaken because they have cameras. I asked to see them. They did allow me too after a couple of days. When the tapes were reviewed it was shown that my purse was on camera the whole time until the employee brings it to the back where there are NO cameras. And this is where I believe my money was taken. They did their best to try and make me believe I did not have the money in there. The nerve… Of course I did.. I had just arrived.
They told me to file a claim. I contacted Marriot, gave my story and still am waiting. Now, I am given the run around on the claims process. Still to date I have heard nothing from them, it is me who has to keep calling them.
This is a nice hotel and people are friendly but watch your belongings.. They will be stolen.

I stayed here for for business and loved the facilities. Great lobby, excellent internet, very good customer service. The negatives are the location. It's not close to anything by foot. Unless you have a car or are willing to pay a taxi every single time you need to go out I would not recommend it. It has no direct beach access and the menu at the restaurant is very limited.

Dear Laura-Magal: Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our property, your feedback is appreciated. I am elated you enjoyed our facilities and had the opportunity to experience the excellent service we are so proud of here at Courtyard by Marriott, Bridgetown. Howerver, I am sorry you had such a challenge with transportation and I promise on your next visit, I will personally meet with you to share how accessible our local transport on the island is to our hotel; actually right across the street from the Marriott you can take a bus for $2 Barbados or $1US to the popular Oistins or to Bridgetown. The local buses pass almost every 10-15 minutes. We are located on the beautiful South Coast close to the islands most popular shopping malls and although our property is not on the beach, we do have beach access across the street and all of our guests are afforded a private entrance and have access to towels and lounge chairs as well. I am so sorry we did not meet your expectations and I regret we did not share this information with you during your stay but I trust if you give us another opportunity, whereby I can help ease your concerns about the accessibility of our property. Thank you for choosing Courtyard by Marriott, Bridgetown.

We just got back from a week long stay here. The front desk was splendid and helpful. When we arrived our room was ready and they had added a fold out bed with out us asking. The cleaning people were very nice and did a wonderful job. Even left cookies and milk out our last evening for our 2 girls.(ages 8 and 10)
I have read numerous complaints about the pool so we measured it and it is 12 feet wide and 67 feet long. It was a very nice pool and The kids loved it. Poolside was lovely and we could sit with out tablets and keep an eye on the girls.
We skipped TGIF's as we can get that in the states. The food at the Blue Room on the other side was very good. They even put in a Wii game for the kids to play while we finished our drinks.
There is beach access across the street at the Coconut Court Hotel. Just walk down in front of the blue room and cross the street. I have read the complaint about the traffic and yes there is traffic but the drivers are nice and stop so you can cross. You can cut through the hotel or use the key access door to the left of the CCH. We had breakfast, snacks and lunch here. The food is good and happy hour is from 5-6. The beach is nice and you can use their chairs at no charge. We did not swim here but we did spend happy hour here and our kids played on the beach and in the pool. If you walk up the beach to the left you can get some good sunset pictures.
The boardwalk is just up from the hotel and we could walk to Rockley/Accra Beach where Just Grillin' and our favorite Sideshore restaurant and bar are.

Good location right across the street from the ocean. Same setting like the other courtyards, clean rooms, fast internet access, decent restaurant, good service. Not recommended as a vacation hotel though.

I had to work for 4 days in Bridgetown and noticed that there is now a Courtyard here. Book a room and arrived around 3PM at the hotel. Checking in was a bit slow only because it looked like 1/3 of my AA flight also booked here. The good news checking in was an upgrade to an ocean view room. The Lobby is very big, lots of room to sit and chat, have a beer and enjoy breakfast. The lobby also has 2 PC stations for printing out boarding passes. Also free WiFi throughout the property is a big plus. The beach for the hotel is across the street. The room was very nice and clean. The amenities in the room were typical Courtyard, coffee maker, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, alarm clock and lots of storage space. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. I had breakfast every morning here (not included with the rate) and it was pretty good, especially the omelets. Since I was here for business never did check out the pool area. The exercise room was adequate and most the equipment was new.
If I have to come back to Barbados, I would definitely stay here again, whether for business or pleasure.

I recently took a trip to Barbados with my boyfriend the first week of March. We decided to stay at Marriott because I am a marriott rewards member, and marriott is my favorite hotel. We had a beautiful room on the 4th floor with a balcony, and a view of the sea. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the island which is great! My favorite part of the vacation was eating breakfast every morning outside on the covered patio which was included in my room rate, and chillin on the balcony. The entire staff was great! They were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted at the front desk by a very nice young lady named Stacy, she always greeted us with a smile when when we saw her. Another great thing about the hotel was the laundry room. I was able to wash my bathing suit, and dirty clothes before we checked out. Overall when I return to Barbados this will be the only hotel that I will stay at. I loved it!

From check in to check out, our stay at the Marriott was most enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful; our room was spotlessly clean. It was rated as a superior king room. We had a balcony which we made full use of. The balcony overlooked the pool. The furniture was more than adequate with a comfortable bed. One minor quibble - there was only one side chair and it was not especially comfortable. It would have been nice if there were two good side chairs. The lobby restaurant served a good breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of several nice restaurants. We would stay here again.

Dear Richard, thank you for reaching out to us and for your loyalty as a Marriott Bonvoy Member. Yes we do offer day passes but we do not confirm until a week before the date as the 9am check in is based on availability. Would you be able to reach out to us via the Bonvoy app closer to the time? The rate will also be updated for that period.
Hello Robert and Ellen, we do not have a shuttle but there are taxis readily available at the airport and we can also coordinate to send one for you. Please reach out to us directly if you want us to further assist you. Take care and safe travels.
