What a lovely homely Pizza restaurant. We were greeted by a really friendly member of staff who was really helpful. The service was good and quick and so was the food, both our pizza selections were very enjoyable and value for money. I would recommend and will be visiting again.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was cute and we highly enjoyed the quick and friendly service. Our food came out as ordered and in a timely manner which is a plus to it being delicious. We first tried sitting outside for dinner but found the mosquitoes were a bit bothersome so we went inside, they accommodated our change with ease.

Visited yesterday evening with my husband as we fancied something different. The service was good and the food was lovely. We both had a portiofino pizza - mine was 8inch and my husband had a 12inch with additional pepperoni. The pizzas arrived the same size (not a problem for me!), they were thin, tasty and really good. We had two pizzas, a Diet Coke, one Peroni and one coffee, and the bill came to around US$53.00. This wasn’t a cheap meal, but was worth every cent. Don’t be put off by the decor which is a bit tired, as this place is definitely worth a visit.

After walking 1.5 km’s to build up a healthy appetite and reward myself with a tasty wood fired pizza, I was sorely disappointed. After being seated and ordering a drink I was told that (as a solo customer eating IN the restaurant), I would have to wait (and couldn’t be prioritised) at least an hour for a pizza which was absolutely ridiculous and absurd for a so called Italian restaurant! As I was so hungry I opted for a pasta dish which was nothing special but did arrive in 15 mins. Any potential atmosphere in there is drained by frustrated diners and people waiting for takeaway orders chasing their orders that are well overdue. There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with this operation. I felt for the poor lovely and helpful waitresses who were constantly fighting a losing battle. Not worth the money nor the wait.

The evening looked promising given the positive reviews. On a Tuesday evening, reservation for 2 adults which was finally unnecessary, 20 minutes of waiting announced for two pizzas which finally took 45 minutes to come. It seems that the restaurant had a staff problem in the kitchen. The Frutti di Mare, where I'm still looking for seafood on it (mini shrimp and tiny mussels and clams), served lukewarm with a soft, soggy crust. The meat-t-t-y which suggests a pizza bursting with meat seems more like a very standard pizza with meat (bacon, sausage and pepperoni but not seen ham) served also lukewarm. To kill time and satisfy our hunger we ordered two entrees: standard bruschetta and an awesome crostini (made with chive and garlic goat cheese topped with sweet marinated onions) which gives this review a 2 stars. The two waitresses, although very nice, could not adequately take care of the 7 tables and the customers who waited long minutes for their online orders. A total disappointment. This restaurant lost in quality since the previous Italian owner sold it.

We have eaten at Mama Mia for a few years now when ever we are in Barbados. The service is always good we have eaten in and had take away the take away pizzas do take a while but everything is cooked to order . When we eat in we usually have the Antipasti sharing platter it our favourite. We have never had a bad meal here a couple of slow meals but your on holiday and everyone is friendly and the food is always good when it comes it's great value as well . See you again soon

Had 4 dinners on our 2 week stay at Coconut Court , all the meals were very good. The ladies who work in there are really friendly and like a joke , unfortunately on our last visit we were served by an older gentelman who was quite the opposite ,he brought our mains before we had finished our starter with no opology and was very abrupt and unfriendly all evening . Still the food was very good each time.

We ordered two pizzas at 6pm to be collected at 7 pm. There was no notice of possible delay. We stood at the counter for 50 minutes and decided to leave. The place used to be so much better when Mama Giuse was there.

Just got back from Mama Mia having walked out as we had waited nearly an hour for our food. We made a reservation for 7pm got there just before, several people with no reservation were seated whilst we were left in the queue. When seated waited 15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken! Meanwhile those without reservations were merrily swigging away, good luck to you all! When we finally ordered there was neither rose wine nor soup, available as per the menu. Warning lights were flashing so we went straight to mains, just a bowl of pasta each, so we waited and we waited. Meanwhile the walk ins were served with their food orders and more drinks, so we waited and we waited. When it got to nearly 8 we realised that it was not going to happen, so we said we wanted to leave and went to pay for our drinks. At least they had the good grace not to accept payment! When we left there were people waiting outside with table reservations for 7.30 obviously priority was given to people who walk in, so they can turn those tables round quickly and make people with reservations wait outside until the walk ins have walked out! I have never written a negative review before, and I can’t understand why this restaurant has received Trip Advisor Awards for excellence? The moral of the story, don’t bother making a reservation, just walk-in you get better service than customers who take the time and consideration to play by the rules.

We had a wonderful meal at Mama Mias during our visit to Barbados. Their menu had a great selection of dishes at very reasonable prices. Everything tasted so fresh with high quality ingredients. Their menu can be ordered in or taken away. All round a lovely experience

Does look like much from the outside and a bit dated inside, however the staff are very good and the food excellent. We were staying just across the road and we’re recommended to try here by others guests who had stayed here before and eaten here often. If you want to finish your pizza don’t have a starter! We had a Siciliana pizza which has jalapeños on it and works well with the tuna. We added jalapeños to The Meaty and it was very good. Make sure to ask for the pizza oil. Red wine was good and quite reasonable price. A service charge of 10% is added automatically so it’s a bit cheeky to ask if we’d like to leave a tip. Certainly worth a visit for good food

We have been coming to Barbados for over 10 years each January. This used to be one of our favorite places, close to where we stay. Last year, it was a disappointment. We decided to give it one more try this year. First of all, I emailed a reservation, they said they would send an email to confirm, received no confirmation. Called and they did, indeed, have the reservation. Upon arrival, there was confusion. We were escorted to our table by a young lady that obviously did not want to be there. No conversation, just follow me, threw menus on table and left. She was not at all friendly or inviting. After 10 minutes, she returned and asked if we were ready to order. No water, no drink order, no greeting. She delivered the wine and it had obviously been opened several days ago. It was old and hot. Food was delivered about 10 minutes later. I've never been to an Italian eatery that didn't serve bread with olive oil/balsamic, but this one did not. We ordered the carbonara. It was overly salted, to the point, you couldn't eat it. We told the waitress and she took the plates away. Got a second order of spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was "ok" but the meatballs were again, so salty. Had to ask for silverware. They don't care and don't care if you are pleased or not. It was an awful experience and we will not go back. Too bad.

This place is OK but food was nothing to write home about. It was our first night in Barbados and we were sitting in a place decked out to look like the Arctic (Christmas deco)... odd! . I felt the food could easily have been improved but the pizzas looked better. Puddings were good but I didn’t like the way they were all ready and prepared and you had no idea how long they had been sitting there.

A truly disappointing experience. We read the reviews on trip advisor the most of recent of which have been pretty dire however the overall rating seemed good so we went along for a pizza and calzone. We should have known from the very start that this was going to be an experience to remember (not in a good way ) as soon as we entered. The waitress that showed us to our table was surly and clearly disinterested in her job. She took our order and our starters came out pretty quickly and were ok. I had the bruschetta and my wife had the crostini both of which were ok. We then asked to move tables as a party of 8 had arrived and intent on having a rather noisy time. We then waited 56 minutes before our main meals came out and they could be only described as poor. The calzone was basically a doughy bread wrapped over itself and under cooked at the edges and my wife’s pizza was a sloppy mess. You’re probably wondering why we don’t send them back. Well I got the feeling that they wouldn’t have cared. No one came over and asked if everything was ok with our meals, as is standard practice in nearly all restaurants I’ve been into and even when they cleared my wife’s plate which still had half the pizza left on it they didn’t ask why. I asked for the bill and went to pay assuming they would ask why I was not prepared to pay the optional but automatic service charge. But instead they just removed it and wished us on our way. So in summary, poor staff attitude, slow service and food that was below standard even for a local so called Italian restaurant. I would urge anyone to think twice before going as clearly something has changed since the previous good reviews and the recent 6 months would suggest that this place needs to be avoided. I decided that

Since Mama Mia’s was sold, the pasta dishes taste like “frozen meals” like they came out of the freezer and are reheated in an oven. The lasagna was terrible. The tomato sauce had little taste, the noodles were thick and burnt on the top and on the sides. The sauce had too much meat and the entire dish tasted dry. Before changing owners, the lasagna tasted like egg noodles, was very soft and tasty and the sauce was delicious and smooth and creamy. Being an Italian, the lasagna we had today tasted like the lasagna sheets were from a package and not properly cooked. The cook needs to learn how to properly cook the pasta dishes they advertise, and make a tasty sauce. The pizza was ok. A little too thin and I could not taste the tomato sauce. The desserts are mostly non Italian. They sell cupcakes, tarts, and cakes none of which are Italian except for the tiramisu, which I didn’t try. There were 3 ice cream flavours to choose from. Based on what we paid for the meals we had the quality of food has gone down. We will not be returning.
