Bridgetown is the largest city and capital of the Barbados, a group of islands in between the Caribbean and Atlantic Ocean.

Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) located just 13 kilometres away from the centre of Bridgetown is Barbados' main airport and offers direct flights to North, South, and Central America as well as Europe. LIAT, British Airways, American Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic Airways fly most frequently to the airport.

While the coast of Barbados is particularly tourist-oriented, the interior of the island is still full of acres of sugar cane providing an interesting dichotomy between native cultivators and foreign visitors.

National Heroes Square, formerly Trafalgar Square has a large monument memorializing Lord Nelson and the British Royal Navy victory during the Battle of Trafalgar.
