Buzo is a beautifully designed restaurant with quality food and good service. There are just a few things I think they should take into account. The person at the reception is unfriendly and uninviting. The waitress looked right at our simple appearance and when I started to order for myself she asked if we were all going to share that plate before anyone else at the table could place their order. It was very offensive! I didn’t respond, thinking that maybe she asked because of the plate size. I ordered a risotto with prawns, when it came I knew she had really offended us. After she realized she judged too quickly, her demeanor changed. The service after that was good though. Despite all this, I would go back.

Went with my two children for an 830 reservation and were promptly seated. We expected to get pasta or another Italian main but once we saw the pizzas at the other tables we opted to share 2 medium pizzas between 3 people. They were fantastic- and I’m from NY! We couldn’t finish them either they were so big. Also had the Mac and pancetta side dish as an appetizer and it was also fantastic. Service was a bit slow for a NYer but overall was good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend when you’re tired of flying fish or other local fare.

Buzo is an excellent choice for family or intimate gatherings. It is hidden on the Marriott Courtyard grounds but is the only viable restaurant there. The service was personal, pleasant and prompt. The food was varied and very good. The pizzas were excellent--- thin crust and loaded with your personal choices. Very outgoing and friendly staff, even when very busy. We ate in, had take out and consumed lunch and dinner. The food was extremely good and reasonable for families. An excellent choice.

Lovely decor, quite noisy tasty food. But I chose the meat balls, it came with slices of pizza bread which I didn't want, I wanted pasta with it. The waiter told me the chef would not swap it for pasta I would have to have a separate plate of pasta. Which I did. I am not complaining about the quality I am complaining about the rip off price. The meatballs were expensive to start at 69 bds the small plate of pasta was 20 bds and then they put a service charges on of 12 1/2 % total making it 112 bds which in sterling is approximately £ 44 . Ridiculous! Spain or Italy is half that price. To cap it all we asked for mountgay Eclipse and soda ,the waiter double checked that we wanted white or gold,we chose gold. When we received the bill we were charged for mount gay X O at 15 bds plus tax. Opposite at coconut court a rum and soda is 8 bds.

We went at the recommendation of a friend from the island. The setting is lovely but the noise inside the restaurant bounces off all the surfaces and it was hard to hear anything. We sat outside which was better despite the ZRs racing by. The food was quite good except the polpetinne which had an odd texture we could have skipped. The gamberoni on risotto was great and the gelato finish was lovely. The service was odd. Several times food and drink arrived at our table but was intended for another. We weren't asked if we wanted cocktails and when we ordered them, it seemed to interfere with their desire to take our food order. Upon finishing our meal we wanted to savour the last glass of wine we had but dessert was to be ordered (now). We were there in the last half of the evening, there was no one waiting for our table and there were lots of other customers to be served. We felt rushed but when it was time to pay the bill, the staff seemed to disappear. We got up to find them so we could leave. We'll come back. It's our friend's favourite but she would have been disappointed.

We booked this for our last evening in Barbados . My partners meal was fine but my Ragu was bland and oily with little flavour other than garlic. The service was ok but I left feeling hungry and to top it off they take your credit card away from the table to process . The price for 2 with a 1/4 caraf of red and 1/2 of white was £140 and ice cream costs £8 we had better meals for similar prices at both Champers and Harlequin would not recommend

I had eaten widely in the Hastings area and thought on my last day I would treat myself to a dinner at Buzo Osteria Italiana. On approaching I was slightly disheartened by it’s location and aspect (in a car park, with no windows) and the fact that it was part of the Marriott Courtyard hotel chain, however I’ld read the reviews, and I had come this far, I’m now wishing I should have turned around. After a greeting from the maitre d’ I was placed at the bar. Granted I hadn’t specified a seating area (I’d never been, so so why would I?) but the last time I ate at a bar I was in a diner. I was told, robustly, that I could sit in the restaurant, but only if I promised to be gone in 90 minutes. Not a good start. The waiter was polite and efficient, I ordered the Calabrian sausage and porcini pasta. When asked what wine I would like it took me a while, as although a wide selection, no tasting notes were provided, so it took me a few google searches to find the variety I wanted. The Laguna. ‘Would I like a glass or a carafe? Well I was hoping to have a bottle, but you’ve shamed me into a carafe, as not to appear like and alcoholic. The pasta arrived. Small portion, but nothing on the menu to say if it was primi or secondi. Despite being described a light cream sauce the thing was so dense you could have put shelves up with it. And the overriding taste was of beef stock cube. I struggled through it but gave up after a few minutes. Not being one to complain I thought when asked how it was I would give honest feedback. I was never asked. I asked the waiter if he would like some feedback, when he heard it he quickly got the manager, who, to be fair, was most apologetic. ‘Is there anything else you would like to pass on to me?’ he asked, big mistake, you should have left it there. Is it fine dining (as your prices suggest) or casual dining? No sandals yet you can eat on the bar (and your table mat is a menu) ‘It’s for everyone’ The restaurant is confused, which is it? it can’t be both. Does the chef taste his own food? I can’t see that he can as it was inedible. However I was assured that there are no beef stock cubes in the kitchen, but the did a great job of recreating it. Unless you are a (rich) American, that wants a American Italian for the kids, then knock yourself out. If you’re not go to Tapas, the food is a million times better, has amazing views and is half the price, and your money isn’t going to a US hedge fund but to local residents.

Went there with a friend to catch up. I suggested Buzo, how it’s changed in such a short time, the starter of prawns was ok. The main course of fillet of fish was disgusting, overcooked Marlin that you could bounce off a wall. I asked why the fish used was Marlin, as all previous times I had been there it was a nice and delicate Garoupa, no real answer given. Then ordered the fresh tuna and again disappointed, it had a big lump of cream or indescribable cheese on top, I asked the waitress for some Soy sauce to compliment the tuna, she said they had none …a restaurant of that apparent standing and no Soy sauce in the kitchen! I had been there many times before and asked for Soy and they always had it. The service can only be described as sloven . Needless to say I and my friend were very unimpressed and will not be back, you certainly ruined what I wanted to be a very special day for a very special friend.

Excellent service. Great food. Free Wi-Fi Did I say Amazing service. All Covid-19 protocols were observed entering. Sanitizers etc were available. Host was very polite on entry and the server for the night was equally polite as well. Food was served timely and cocktails were well blended as well kudos to the bar staff.

So,some friends and I went to Buzo and it was terrible service and there was a pregnant lady with us, which automatically tell you;"yeah" let's make an effort to serve them quickly. I'm not saying that everyone else doesn't deserve the same treatment but come on man. Our water glasses were empty and we had to ask to have a refill, which should not be so. Then we we were being passed constantly without being asked if we are ready to eat, nothing. I believe that if a customer doesn't eat something they should be able to have a food change;e.g. toppings on a pizza, but instead we we told that the chef doesn't like to change up his food. Like what the hell!!!! Is it the chef that's eating????!!!! Stupess, who cares what he likes to do or do not do. This is a business and I believe that if I want chicken or fish on my pizza u would try to do up something for the customer if you have it. And no I don't believe that the customer is always right bs, but people are paying for your food and service and we deserve the best though, so do what you can to make your customers happy. I am not at all happy by this experience I encountered and I surely will not be back. The waiter was acting as if the people at my table and I were annoying him as well and we were being patient and not confusing him, but its only so much u can take tbh. People came in after us and left and these are people that has 3course meals and we were there long time, and no, we did not take long to eat etc because the food was nothing to take long with. That's to just say how long we were there...Again, Poor Service.

One of the things we noticed about most places in Barbados is that although service is very friendly, its not particularly attentive and often very slow. Buzo Osteria was one of two exceptions that we experienced. The staff were excellent with my young daughter, helped us navigate the menu and were attentive all night. The food was universally excellent, with interesting flavours and no lack of quantity. We came on a whim and returned the next night. Highly recommended.

Haven't done much reviews here in a while but had to take the time out to recognize our server JERMAINE. I first visited here for my Bday in Nov. 2019 and was very disappointed in the service. That being said, I should have taken note of that server as he would have probably ruined it for many! That being said, I am glad we gave Buzo a second and third chance as our last 2 experiences were nothing short of pleasurable. Jermaine and the hostess on duty at open on July 1, 2021 made our experience one that will keep us coming. Jermaine was pleasant, attentive, professional and knowledgeable which is something I can't say very often since I have moved to the Island. I may be ridiculed for saying that but unfortunately, it's the truth. You will here many speak of the inequality in the service industry and when you find a restaurant that is impartial, it will stand out! The food is also squisito! Be careful ordering pizza for one, its huuuuuge but value for money! One advise, question the menu if you are not sure and the chef is flexible in appeasing all! Gluten free option available! Overall great experience. Ohhh and the cocktails are great as well!!!

This was a great dinning experience and will definitely recommend. The server at the table Sarah was amazing, she knew the menu well and recommended the best dishes. I had a green pea soup that was tasty and the Strozzepretti Alla Vodka E Salome Affumicato was divine. I also had a white sangria which was nice and fruity. Food came quickly despite everyone taking a while to make their orders and it did not disappoint. One of the best Italian cuisines in the island and that everyone should experience.

Buzo is located in the grounds of the Courtyard by Marriott on the main drag from Oistins to Rockley Beach. It is very professional run, as you would expect and although the prices are a bit higher than other restaurants, you can feel the difference. Authentic Italian food with a Bayjan slant. The risottos are to die for and the pasta equally impressive. The pizzas are enormous. Couldn't manage a dessert, so can't comment. Excellent all round

We recently arrived on holiday to Barbados and were fortunate enough to be recommended Buzo as a good, child friendly option for dinner. I’ve eaten in a lot of Italian restaurants in different parts of the world, and I have to say this is one of the best overall experiences. The food is excellent and menus varied enough that there is something for everyone, the staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is relaxed and classy. We’ve been here 6 nights and have already visited Buzo twice, and we will definitely either return or order delivery again before we leave! The Rado pizza is to die for! We have Loved everything we have tried so far....11 out of 10!
