Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this hotel as we were cruising out of Barbados as a result of a missed flight connection.
This hotel is approx. 20m from the airport and there are many taxis waiting outside the airport for $20US.
This is not a beachfront hotel and is located in an area close to many places to eat.
The hotel is nicely laid out and check in was quick, helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean and well equipped, room safe, coffee maker, small fridge etc.
The pool was on the second floor and is long, narrow and shallow, suitable for smaller children. As we arrived later in the day we were unable to really check the rest of the amenities this hotel may offer.
We decided to eat at the hotel and found it quite good although expensive.
Check out was quick and a cab ride to the cruise terminal was $15US and took approx just under 10m.

Dear Sierra68, I am glad that you enjoyed your short stay with us. We want to be considered a hotel of choice for pre and post cruise and your feedback helps us to validate this. Hopefully whenever your travels bring you back to Barbados you will consider us again and this time stay long enough to fully utilize our other amenities such as free wifi, gym and fully equipped beach access. Hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with in walking distance of the beach and 10 - 15 minutes by bus from Bridgetown. Property is very clean and well maintained with very good A/C. Some room have a view of the beach which is a short walk across the street but requires walking down several steps to reach. Some rooms have a nice balcony, however, those with a beach view also face the west and are exposed to the afternoon sun. Hotel has a small restaurant but does not offer a complementary breakfast.

What a pleasure. During our recent the stay the staff couldn't do enough to ensure every detail was taken care of. The room all every part of the hotel was spotless. Just over the round from a lovely stretch of beach and near to all amenities. A Friday or Saturday night visit to Oistins is a must. Down to earth entertainment and a variety of the freshest food you shall find anywhere. We also recommend a visit to fish cutters right next to a wonderful beach.
Barbados holds many fond memories and such lovely warm, genuine friendly people. If we are lucky enough to return we would hesitate to return to The Courtyard.

Our travel plans did not go as expected and we were left without a place to stay for a day.....We pulled up to the hotel at 7am and asked if there was room available. I could not have asked for a nicer lady. I think she saw the exhaustion in our face, she told us she will make sure we get a room even if we had to have breakfast and wait till they cleaned a room. We did just that. We had a delicious breakfast then headed up to our room. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I can always count on this hotel to keep up their standards no matter what part of the world we are in. We had a great rest, It was quiet and clean. I also sooo look forward to those amazing comfy beds. This hotel is just hassle free. You check in and you check out. No hidden fees, no drama, no attitude. The best hands down! Thank you for giving a place to lay our heads down and get some rest!

We recently spent 4 nights over a weekend a the Courtyard by Marriott Bridgetown. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable. The grounds are well kept, the location is great and the food was very good, but this hotel has a best kept secret in their salt cell chlorination system lap pool which is the perfect length if a swim is your preferred workout.

Had a 1 bedroom suite which was almost as large as our regular timeshare with Marriott. The difference was a kitchen which we did not need for this trip. The experience from check in to check out by the staff was 5 Stars. The entire staff was very courteous and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We had breakfast almost every morning and the food and service again was great and was reasonably priced.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff were helpful at all times, the food was delicious (we had a breakfast package) and the gym was well equiped. It is across the street from a beach, even if this beach is not the best. But there are better beaches close by.
The worst for us was the noise from the AC machines even if they were turned off (we were on the fourth floor). Also the taxi drivers that are right at the entrance of the hotel charge you much more than the government established prices.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed one night at this hotel due to a mix up with my reservation at another property. I was presently surprised and plan to try a longer stay the next time. The rooms were clean, well appointed. The hotel is primarily a business hotel but also great for visitors who like to be a little more independent and want more of a local experience, meaning they want to explore more of the island rather than spending the entire time at the beach (that's an option too). It is also a great option for those on a budget.
The restaurants were reasonably priced with free wifi in your room. Beach access is across the street, but since all beaches in Barbados are public you can go to any of them to relax. Transportation options are easily available and quite a few dining options in walking distance.
The staff were friendly and attentive, the hotel is new so things still have that new hotel shine on it.

Stayed here last week. The hotel is in immaculate condition. Yvette, our housekeeper, and Abigail at the front desk were outstanding, extremely helpful.
They even set up an extra cot as we had our daughters with us on vacation. That was a huge and unexpected plus. Cookies and milk for the kids on our last night there.
Regarding an earlier post on the pool. I measured it. It's 12 feet wide by 67 feet long, 3.75 feet deep. Can't stand it when people skew the truth. Defeats the whole purpose of Trip Advisor.
It's not an ocean front hotel, so I don't what the previous person was expecting. There is a view of the ocean from our fourth floor room, but the Marriott site clearly states you're across the street.
There is a bit of a third world feel to Barbados, especially when you venture away from town, but the people seem genuinely friendly and there's an obvious effort to improve the island.
Every town has a bad apple, just use common sense as you would in any foreign country, including the US, and you'll be fine.
We'll definitely stay at the Courtyard the next time we visit the island.

This place is completed amazing. I know it is not on the beach but it makes up for that in many other ways. The rooms are brand new. The service is incredible. They make you feel at home. I
would return here without a doubt. The beach is across the street plus you have the board walk.

Dear Richard, thank you for reaching out to us and for your loyalty as a Marriott Bonvoy Member. Yes we do offer day passes but we do not confirm until a week before the date as the 9am check in is based on availability. Would you be able to reach out to us via the Bonvoy app closer to the time? The rate will also be updated for that period.
Hello Robert and Ellen, we do not have a shuttle but there are taxis readily available at the airport and we can also coordinate to send one for you. Please reach out to us directly if you want us to further assist you. Take care and safe travels.
Regards
Kelly-Ann
