COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — Cole Bassett scored on a penalty kick in the 89th minute to lift the Colorado Rapids to a weather-delayed 3-2 victory over Real Salt Lake on Saturday night.

Bassett was fouled by Justen Glad and delivered the winning kick, beating RSL goalkeeper Gavin Beavers to the top center.

Andrés Gómez scored two goals for his fourth brace of the season for Real Salt Lake.

Gómez staked RSL to an early 1-0 lead but the Rapids went ahead 2-1 when Jonathan Lewis and Sam Vines scored four minutes apart late in the half. Bassett assisted on both goals.

SEATTLE (AP) — Denis Bouanga scored on a first-half penalty kick before adding a second-half goal and Los Angeles FC snapped the Seattle Sounders' five-match win streak with a 3-0 victory on Saturday night.

LAFC (14-5-5) took a 1-0 lead just 16 minutes into the match after a hand ball foul on Seattle defender Nouhou Tolo following a video review led to Bouanga's PK.

Mateusz Bogusz gave LAFC a two-goal lead when he scored unassisted in the 26th minute off a set piece. It was his 13th goal of the season.

Bouanga found the net for the 16th time this season to make it 3-0 in the 74th minute. Kei Kamara notched his third assist on the goal and defender Sergi Palencia collected his fourth.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Defender Griffin Dorsey had a goal in each half, scoring the winner in the 87th minute as the Houston Dynamo blew a two-goal lead before rallying for a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night.

Houston (10-7-7) took a 2-0 lead into halftime on goals by Adalberto Carrasquilla and Dorsey. Carrasquilla used Ibrahim Aliyu's fourth assist of the season to score his second goal for a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute. Dorsey followed with his first netter this season, scoring unassisted in the 36th minute.

Fafà Picault scored two of Vancouver’s three unanswered goals and the Whitecaps (11-8-5) rallied to take a 3-2 lead.

Picault scored unassisted with a header three minutes into the second half to pull Vancouver within a goal.

IRAPUATO, Mexico - Canada got first-half goals from Santiago Lopez and Myles Morgan, but had to settle for a 2-2 draw with the Honduras in its opening game Saturday at the 2024 CONCACAF men's Under-20 soccer championship.

Lopez scored in the 17th minute and Morgan found net two minutes before halftime as Canada lead its Group B opener at Estadio Sergio Leon Chavez Stadium.

Angel Gabriel Villatoro Adelino scored for Honduras in the 55th minute and Roberto Antonio Osorto Sanchez tied it four minutes into stoppage time to complete the comeback.

Canada was able to earn the draw despite being outshot 17-8 (8-2 on target).

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Willy Agada scored the equalizer in the 73rd minute, lifting Sporting KC to a 1-1 draw with St. Louis on Saturday night.

Agada scored with a header from the center of the box, finishing off a well-placed pass by Alan Pulido.

Sporting's Tim Melia made a big save in the 86th minute and St. Louis was limited to three shots on goal to Kansas City's six. Roman Bürki made five saves for St. Louis.

Nökkvi Thórisson got St. Louis on the board first, working hard to set up his right-footed shot from the center of the box in the 42nd minute.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota United used a first-half own goal and a second-half score by Bongokuhle Hlongwane to snap a nine-match winless streak with a 2-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night.

Minnesota United (9-10-6) took a 1-0 lead into halftime thanks to an own goal by San Jose defender Tanner Beason in the 38th minute.

That was it until Hlongwane used assists from Joseph Rosales — his 10th — and Sang Bin Jeong — his first — in the 75th minute to score his seventh goal of the season

Dayne St. Claire needed to make just one save to earn his third clean sheet of the season for Minnesota United.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Defender Jon Gallagher scored late in the second half and Austin FC rallied for a 2-2 draw with Charlotte FC on Saturday night.

Gallagher used assists from Alex Ring and Diego Rubio in the 80th minute to score his second goal of the season for Austin (8-10-7). Ring's assist was his sixth this season and Rubio's was his first.

Ring used his head to score in the 11th minute and give Austin a 1-0 lead. Dani Pereira notched his third assist and Jáder Obrian picked up his fourth on Ring's first goal of the season.

Charlotte (10-8-7) pulled even in the 33rd minute on a penalty-kick goal by Karol Swiderski in his first appearance of the season. Swiderski's PK was set up when rookie Iúri Tavares drew a foul on Ring.

MONTREAL (AP) — Richie Laryea's first-half goal led Toronto to a 1-0 victory over Montreal on Saturday night.

After combining with Federico Bernardeschi, Lorenzo Insigne found Laryea at the back post for a tap into the open goal with five minutes left to play in the first half.

The goal stood up in a defensive battle in which Toronto finished with two shots on goal and Montreal had one.

Still, Montreal had two near misses late in the second half.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Paul Arriola scored on a penalty kick in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time and FC Dallas rallied for a 1-1 draw with the New England Revolution on Saturday night.

Arriola took the PK, scoring his third goal of the season for Dallas (8-11-6) after Tarik Scott drew a foul on New England defender Henry Kessler.

Neither team found the net until an own goal by Dallas defender Nkosi Tafari in the 65th minute staked the Revolution (7-14-2) to a 1-0 lead.

Aljaz Ivacic totaled one save in goal for the Revolution. Maarten Paes saved one shot for Dallas. Neither goalkeeper was tested in a scoreless first half.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Rookie Hannes Wolf scored five minutes after Ramiro Enrique had given Orlando City the lead in the second half and New York City earned a 1-1 draw on Saturday night.

Neither team scored until Ramiro Enrique took a pass from Martin Ojeda and found the net in the 52nd minute to give Orlando City (9-9-7) the lead. Enrique has scored all four of his goals in four straight matches. Ojeda's assist was his seventh.

New York City (11-9-5) pulled even five minutes later on the score by Wolf. Alonso Martínez was credited with his third assist of the season and Santiago Rodríguez notched his eighth on Wolf's fifth goal.

Matt Freese turned away four shots in goal for NYCFC.

CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — Dániel Gazdag scored all three goals and the Philadelphia Union defeated Nashville SC 3-0 on Saturday night.

Gazdag scored with a right-footed shot from the center of the box to give Philadelphia a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute.

Gazdag made it 2-0 with another right-footed shot from the center of the box in the 39th minute and he completed the hat trick with a right-footed shot from the center of the box in the 89th minute.

The Union placed five shots on goal to Nashville's one in the first half. Philadelphia finished with a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal.

HARRISON, N.J. (AP) — Lewis Morgan scored twice, Kyle Duncan added a goal and the New York Red Bulls defeated FC Cincinnati 3-1 on Saturday night to remain the only unbeaten team at home in the MLS season.

Morgan gave the Red Bulls an early 1-0 lead, connecting with a right-footed shot from the center of the box in the seventh minute.

Early in the second half, Duncan made it 2-0 when he scored with a difficult right-footed shot from the central position outside the box.

Morgan made it 3-0 in the 59th minute, completing the brace with a left-footed shot from the center of the box.

ATLANTA (AP) — Stian Gregersen scored twice in the second half and Atlanta United rallied to defeat the Columbus Crew 2-1 on Saturday night.

Columbus scored first when Diego Rossi connected with a right-footed shot from the center of the box in the 36th minute.

The Crew led 1-0 at halftime, then Gregersen delivered for Atlanta in the second half, twice connecting on a header off a corner kick by Saba Lobjanidze.

Gregersen's brace came after he missed Wednesday's match against New York City after being shown a red card in an earlier match against Montreal.
