Milic made most of first pro season

As the Winnipeg Jets fifth round pick started out on his professional hockey journey last fall, he spent very little time worrying about which crease he would be tending.
The goalie prospect knew that if he stopped enough pucks, the rest would take care of itself.
The approach seems simple enough, though the execution of that plan is something that can occasionally lead to unnecessary speed bumps for rookies.

Manitoba clinched a spot in the post-season with a combination of Saturday’s 7-4 win over the visiting Iowa Wild and the Chicago Wolves’ 3-1 loss to the Grand Rapids Griffins. Kristian Reichel had a hat trick and one assist as the hometown Moose improved to 32-33-2-1.
The Moose reached the post-season for the third consecutive season with four games remaining in the regular season to round out the field for the Central Division.
Manitoba begins its quest for the Calder Cup in a best-of-three first-round series with the Texas Stars. That schedule is to be determined.

The 26-year-old from Mississauga, Ont., who leads the team in scoring with seven goals and 25 assists, has been added to the Central Division roster for the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic this weekend.
He will join Moose forward Brad Lambert at the festivities in San Jose, Calif.
It is Capobianco’s fourth all-star nod.
